China sent a special envoy to Thailand and Cambodia to facilitate dialogue, following renewed clashes along their shared border that has killed more than two dozen people.

00:20The renewed clashes have killed more than two dozen people
00:22and displaced more than 800,000 others.
00:26It shattered a ceasefire reached at the ASEAN summit in October,
00:30overseen by the US and Malaysia, which had ended five days of bloody fighting in July.
00:36China has since dispatched its envoy twice to seek mediation
00:40following the collapse of the peace agreement.
00:43US President Donald Trump has also attempted to intervene,
00:46claiming last week that both sides had agreed to a ceasefire starting Saturday night.
00:51Bangkok, however, has denied that any such agreement was reached.
