00:12:36Both teams may have different agendas,
00:12:38but tonight we'll find out who's gonna come out on the winning end.

00:13:08And there's a lot of matches at the Royal Rumble that I want to see.

00:13:13It could be Ric Flair's last match at the Royal Rumble tonight in the VIP lounge.
00:13:19We'll hear what the Nature Boy has to say.
00:13:21And speaking of the Royal Rumble and the Royal Rumble match,
00:13:24who in the world is gonna dump the Great Khali over the top rope?
00:13:30You've already brought up a lot of good questions here very early on on SmackDown, Michael.
00:13:34This match is set for one fall.
00:13:38The shirt is a pair of spigots coming to the ring by watching the same.
00:13:41From India, standing over seven feet tall, weighing 420 pounds,
00:13:47the Great Khali.
00:13:48We saw the Great Khali on Raw this past Monday night.
00:13:51You see, Mr. McMahon put his son, Hornswoggle, in a mini Royal Rumble match on Raw.
00:13:56And I mean, mini.
00:13:57It was very entertaining.
00:13:59We saw mini Kennedy.
00:14:01We saw mini Batista.
00:14:02We saw mini Mankind.
00:14:04And, well, we even got the opportunity in this match to see, well, mini Kane and Hornswoggle dominated.
00:14:10And this match was a heck of a lot of fun until we were visited by the real Great Khali.
00:14:16It certainly was not the mini Great Khali.
00:14:19But as the Great Protector has been in recent weeks, in comes Finlay at the right time and took it to the Great Khali.
00:14:29And this is what we could see come the Royal Rumble match.
00:14:33Yeah, Finlay will be involved in the Royal Rumble match as will Khali.
00:14:36But again, as you mentioned, the Great Protector, Finlay coming to the aid of Hornswoggle.
00:14:41And Ranjan Singh in the wrong place at the wrong time.
00:14:50And I wonder what's going through Khali's mind as he watches what transpired on Monday night.
00:14:54My name is Finlay, and I love to fight.
00:15:01And his opponent coming down the aisle with Hornswoggle from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
00:15:06Weighing 233 pounds, Finlay.
00:15:10Now, following that incident on war this past Friday night, Coach, Mr. McMahon and Finlay had a bit of a run-in.
00:15:15And Mr. McMahon said, hey, listen, if you want to blow off some steam, Finlay, I'm going to let you do it Friday night on SmackDown.
00:15:22But Mr. McMahon, accused by Finlay of perhaps sending Khali down to that mini Rumble match, Mr. McMahon vehemently denied that.
00:15:30And whether or not Finlay believes Mr. McMahon or not, right here on Friday night's SmackDown, Finlay has a chance to set the record straight and go one-on-one with The Great Khali.
00:15:41First time ever on network television, Finlay versus The Great Khali right here on Friday night's SmackDown from Birmingham, Alabama.
00:15:48We're glad you could join us here as we are just nine nights away from the Royal Rumble.
00:15:52You know, you bring up so many great questions about how is a guy like The Great Khali or Big Daddy V or Mark Henry or Batista, how are they going to get thrown out when it's every man for himself?
00:16:04And look at Hornswoggle having some fun with Rungin Singh.
00:16:09Little cat and mouse.
00:16:12Finlay and Hornswoggle in control early.
00:16:15And they keep it up against Khali when we return.
00:16:22We are back on Friday night's SmackDown.
00:16:27The Great Khali dominating Finlay here in this matchup.
00:16:31And there's the 7'3", 420-pounder with the clothesline.
00:16:35And when I look at these two men, I see two favorites in that Royal Rumble match.
00:16:39Great Khali because of his size, Finlay because he knows how to get it done.
00:16:44He's a fighter, and you need to be a fighter in the Royal Rumble match.
00:16:47And The Great Khali, how are you going to dump him over the top rope?
00:16:50He is one of the big men in this matchup, and we've seen over the years, big men really do have the advantage in the Royal Rumble match.
00:16:56Without a doubt, and we've said it before already, it's every man for himself.
00:17:00But if you're going to get this big man out, there's going to have to be a couple of guys going into business with each other.
00:17:05SmackDown fans trying to get Finlay back in this matchup that Khali has been completely dominating.
00:17:16Finlay is a fighter brought up on the streets of Northern Ireland, fighting his whole life, but never against the man the size of the former world champion, The Great Khali.
00:17:27And as we just have tonight and next Friday here on SmackDown, you certainly hope that that guys are getting into the mode of knowing that it is all about just themselves.
00:17:39And they need to be primed and ready physically and mentally for that Royal Rumble match.
00:17:43Yeah, you're talking about that match that is every man for himself.
00:17:46Because if you win the matchup, you're going to main event WrestleMania with a championship on the line.
00:17:52It certainly changes lives and careers.
00:17:54It can shorten careers, but it is worth it if you can come out victorious.
00:17:57If this keeps up, Khali may shorten Finlay's career.
00:18:00You got that right.
00:18:03Oh, and Finlay, that may be the opening that Crackley Vetter needs.
00:18:06Ducking out of the way as Khali went for that big chop.
00:18:10And Finlay, with that unorthodox offensive style, born and bred from his days in Northern Ireland.
00:18:17Did you hear and feel that?
00:18:22And you can see from the look on Finlay's face how much that hurt.
00:18:29And when we get into HD, with SmackDown's in HD, you're going to be able to see the pain even more so than you already can.
00:18:37You're going to be able to see that huge hand the size of an NFL football.

00:18:41You're going to be able to see the welt from that hand come right up on the chest of Finlay.

00:18:47That'll begin next week.
00:18:48And Khali is just taking it to Finlay.
00:18:52Getting into that Royal Rumble match mode, trying to settle some personal differences with Finlay in a match made by Mr. McMahon this past Sunday night.
00:19:00And just tossing Finlay like a sack of potatoes.
00:19:04A lot of speculation running rampant here on SmackDown as well as Raw about what this deal is that Mr. McMahon and Finlay apparently have.
00:19:11Wait a second.
00:19:12And again, those arms the size of an, I should say those hands the size of an NFL football.
00:19:18That nerve hold wearing Finlay down.
00:19:21And look at how the hand just engulfs the entire shoulder of Finlay.
00:19:25And Schwarzenegger getting his crowd going and you look at the face, you see the anguish, how hard he is holding on to the neck of Finlay.
00:19:34And the Great Khali is so powerful.
00:19:36One of Finlay's great traits is his ability to put pain aside, to put it in the back of his mind.
00:19:45But it's hard to do when you're being swallowed by the Great Khali like this.
00:19:51And you can see that Finlay is holding that right arm and may be going somewhat numb because of the pressure being put on at the top of the shoulder by the Great Khali.
00:20:00Finlay realizes he's got to get back to a vertical base to relieve some of this pressure.
00:20:05And Finlay is back to both feet.
00:20:07The contorted images of Finlay's face say it all.
00:20:10Oh, back to his feet.
00:20:12But just that quickly, Michael, right back down.
00:20:15The Great Khali has, in leaps and bounds, improved.
00:20:19And when you couple how physical he is with in-the-ring ability, who's going to stop this guy?

00:20:31This man, on a daily basis, bench presses 600 pounds as part of his daily routine.
00:20:40And he is just manhandling Finlay.
00:20:44And now feeling very good about himself, but you can't.

01:17:48Rey Mysterio and CM Punk have been dominating the world champion, Edge.
01:17:52And the number one contender for the ECW championship, Chavo Guerrero.

01:17:57And Michael, if you'd never tuned in before, and you've never seen these two team up,
01:18:01you would think they've been teaming up for years.
01:18:04They are so cohesive, so good together.
01:18:06I'm talking about CM Punk and Rey Mysterio.
01:18:08Edge went into the corner with authority, and the ECW champion trying to send a little
01:18:13message of his own to Edge, who came out here Tuesday night on ECW and berated CM Punk.
01:18:20Those chops echoing through the arena.
01:18:24And it's...
01:18:29Oh, it hooks on Chavo, sneaking into the matchup, and that distraction allowed the ultimate opportunist,
01:18:36Edge, to regain control of the match.
01:18:38Edge wasting no time and getting right back on top of CM Punk.
01:18:44A week from Sunday, Edge will put the world title on the line against Rey Mysterio.
01:18:50Well, Tuesday night, CM Punk will put the ECW title on the line against Chavo Guerrero.
01:18:56Hence the importance of this tag team matchup here on Friday Night SmackDown.
01:19:00So what you're saying, that in the next nine days, we could be looking at the new ECW world
01:19:04champion and the new world champion.
01:19:07That's it.
01:19:07That's what you're saying.
01:19:08If Mysterio knocks off Edge, it could happen.
01:19:11And look at Chavo with a big uppercut to CM Punk.
01:19:14And Chavo Guerrero, vintage Chavo, and key lock on the arm of CM Punk.
01:19:22Much like what transpired in their matchup Tuesday night.
01:19:26These two are so competitive, so evenly matched.
01:19:29It's going to take a lot for Chavo to knock out CM Punk.
01:19:33But I think this Tuesday could be the night that Chavo gets it done.
01:19:36Rey Mysterio looking on intently.
01:19:39Knows his partners in trouble, and a kick out at two by the champ.
01:19:42See Punk reaching back to Mysterio, but Chavo, the veteran, doing a great job isolating Punk.
01:19:49And in comes the ultimate opportunist, the world champion Edge.
01:19:53And now taking his time.
01:19:56Edge knows that he has CM Punk right where he wants him, in his corner, and in between CM Punk and Rey Mysterio.
01:20:03And Punk trying to battle back.
01:20:05The chops, the forearms.
01:20:07Edge, the world champion.
01:20:08Edge never saw CM Punk counter.
01:20:12Going for the tag, and Edge.
01:20:15And Punk's shoulder first.
01:20:21I mean, it is amazing to me how Edge has aligned all the stars as Chavo Guerrero begins the assault behind the referee's back.
01:20:29It's not about aligning the stars.
01:20:31Edge always knows where he is.
01:20:35CM Punk has no idea where he is right now.
01:20:37And always knows where his opponent is.
01:20:39That's why Edge is the ultimate opportunist, and is the world heavyweight champion.
01:20:44Chavo Guerrero would love to wear down the ECW champion.
01:20:50You take the champion out, Punk only has a couple of days to heal before he has to defend the title against Chavo.
01:20:57And Punk has undergone a tremendous amount of punishment now.
01:21:00They're working on that arm and that shoulder.
01:21:02That was the shoulder that initially was assaulted in the beginning of ECW this past Tuesday night.
01:21:07Since then, Chavo has worked on that arm at every opportunity.
01:21:11Well, you talk about vintage Chavo, this is vintage Chavo.
01:21:14Knowing exactly which body part is not at 100%.
01:21:17And now, if he can get a victory tonight for Chavo, that's immaterial.
01:21:21He wants to wear down CM Punk for Tuesday.
01:21:24One thing we've learned about Punk, though, he does have the heart of a champion.
01:21:27He's been ECW champion for months for a reason.
01:21:30But he's in trouble, and what a backbreaker.
01:21:32Driving the shoulder to the sky.
01:21:34This could be it.
01:21:35Hook to the leg, and a kick out by Punk.

01:22:21A leapfrog.
01:22:23Tremendous athletic maneuver.
01:22:25But Mysterio trying to crawl back to the apron.
01:22:27Punk has no one to tag for the time being.
01:22:29Punk is desperate, and Rey Mysterio now finally back to the apron.
01:22:37Punk is crawling.
01:22:39Crawling on his belly.
01:22:41Trying to make a tag to Mysterio.
01:22:44The match could hang in the balance.
01:22:46Tag made to Chavo.
01:22:48Tag made to Mysterio.
01:22:50And here comes Rey.
01:22:51The flying arm drag.
01:22:56And the greatest high flyer in WWE history, Rey Mysterio is proven and showing it live.

01:23:03Well, a mistake by Chavo as he nailed CM Punk right into Rey Mysterio, and now is paying dividends for Rey.

01:24:03And Edge slithering into the ring, targeting the man who wants to take his title summit a week from Sunday in the Rumble.

01:24:21That Edge targeted the leg of Mysterio.
01:24:35Take the high fryer out.
01:24:37And here comes Puck.
01:24:39And here comes Chavo.
01:24:41And Puck coming to the aid of Rey Mysterio, but it may be too little, too late.
01:24:45And there's Ryder and Hawkins.
01:24:47Edge's cronies as they've been called.
01:24:49Assaulting Chavo, CM Punk.
01:24:58Well, I can guarantee you this is exactly what Edge and Chavo wanted to happen.
