00:00Previously on Finding Mr. Christmas.
00:10The Finding Mr. Christmas marching band.
00:12Six holiday hunks were still in the running
00:14for a leading role in a Hallmark movie.
00:16Merry Christmas!
00:18In the festive face-off, the guys became human ornaments
00:21rolling through the Christmas trees.
00:23Then, in the star quality challenge...
00:26We're having a snow show!
00:27Snow show!
00:28The guys teamed up to bring their own sparkle
00:30to a Christmas block party.
00:32What's up with the Blaze?
00:33Are you in your eggs running for office?
00:35Who brings eggs to a Christmas party?
00:37They're a classic.
00:38What did you bring?
00:39Brownies.
00:40Like a normal person.
00:41One team found the joy.
00:43We are nice.
00:45The other fell short.
00:47Those were...
00:48I think I'm gonna need another one of these.
00:50Craig rose to the occasion.
00:52Robbie, you're going home for the holidays.
00:55But Robbie's story came to a close.
00:57Now, just five leading men remain
01:00as we continue the search to find...
01:02Mr. Christmas.
01:10All right, so we're down to the final five.
01:13Everybody's growing, working hard.
01:15Like-minded people who are all out to see the best in each other
01:18and accomplish something together.
01:19It's great, man.
01:20I'm so happy that there are other people out there like me
01:24who can be vulnerable, who can be supportive,
01:27who do get excited about life,
01:29and who still want to make cool art.
01:31How are you feeling, man?
01:33I mean, to make it this far hasn't been easy.
01:36I'm not gonna lie.
01:37Playing soccer all my life, I was always in the bench
01:40and worked so hard to make it to the starting lineup.
01:45And I feel like I've implemented that into my acting and career.
01:49Yeah.
01:50Like, I started with no English,
01:51I started with no acting abilities,
01:53no experience, and the work, the sweat,
01:56and the passion into it, and...
01:58Yeah.
01:59Just seeing you guys shine every day
02:01just makes me work even harder and harder.
02:03We're the Fab Five. We made it here.
02:05Like, we...
02:06Fab Five!
02:07It's an accomplishment. Yeah, yeah.
02:08Let's go!
02:09Top five on the planet.
02:10Como se dice Final Five en Espanol?
02:13Los Cinco Finalistas.
02:15Los Cinco Finalistas.
02:18That's it.
02:19Oh, it's time to go. It's time to go.
02:22I'll bring the donuts. I'm gonna eat some of those later.
02:25Why do I have to be in charge of the donuts?
02:31How'd you give her a house?
02:32We're down to five golden hunks.
02:36While you all deserve to be here,
02:38only one of you will be crowned Mr. Christmas
02:40and walk out of here with a starring role
02:43in a Hallmark holiday movie.
02:45It's time to show us your strong, silent, hunk side.
02:49This is Silent Night.
02:52Picture this.
02:53It's Christmas Eve,
02:55and Santa can't make it to the house
02:57to deliver the presents.
02:59He asks you to step in and get the job done.
03:01And you have to do it without waking up the kids.
03:05Sounds easy, right?
03:06What you don't know is that delivering presents
03:09can be a dangerous game.
03:12Kids are always trying to catch Santa in the act
03:14by setting booby traps just to catch a glimpse of the big guy.
03:18Basically, we've created an obstacle course with noisy booby traps.
03:23You must make a path through all the obstacles
03:25to get your bag of presents under the tree.
03:27Every time you make a sound, you get a point.
03:30In the end, the person with the least amount of points will win.
03:34Okay, cool.
03:35I have a lot of questions, but I know that a lot of them
03:38probably won't get answered until I'm able to be in the room.
03:41Win, and you'll get an advantage in the star quality challenge,
03:44which you will want.
03:46Yes, I definitely want that.
03:47Oh, yeah, oh, yeah.
03:48Those are heating up.
03:49Okay, Angel, come find me up in the workshop.
03:52I'll see you guys in a bit.
03:53All right.
03:54Shh.
03:57It's time to be quiet.
04:10The challenge has started.
04:14Boom!
04:15All this noise.
04:18Really?
04:21Everywhere I look, there's a booby trap.
04:36I have to be careful, gentle, and quiet while carrying this sack of gifts.
04:44I'm looking at everything and being present, taking pictures with my brain.
04:59Whoa!
05:00Let me go!
05:02Whew!
05:03Come out, let me go.
05:04This inside, I'm ready, myância's what I'm gonna want to take out of here.
05:07One, two, three, two.
05:10Ah, unrelieved to finish.
05:21That was actually hard.
05:25Nice.
05:26Good job.
05:26You actually, that goes to Tourses.
05:28That counts.
05:29I hope the guys don't do as well as I did.
05:33So much fun.
05:33It took me back to my childhood.
05:35My sister and I were like six and nine.
05:38My parents always would hide their Christmas gifts in the closet.
05:42And my sister and I would be like, let's sneak in it.
05:44Oh, we had to go through like little obstacles.
05:47Yeah.
05:47A little whisper.
05:48My mom wouldn't put them out until like right before I woke up.
05:51So I couldn't sneak and see them.
05:53Yeah.
05:54Yeah, otherwise I would have snuck and saw them.
05:56I'm really looking forward to this one.
05:58I think I'm going to do all right.
05:59My wife would describe me as a bull in a china shop.
06:02So this isn't exactly the perfect challenge for me.
06:05Is that Spider-Man?
06:05Spider-Davy.
06:06Don't make a sound.
06:09Oh.
06:10I'm going to go here.
06:19All right.
06:21Oh, man.
06:21This is not the start I wanted.
06:23Hmm.
06:24This is absolutely impossible.
06:47I don't know how I'm going to make it through this.
06:48Maybe this one isn't for me.
07:09That bull in the china shop thing, I think that feels very true in this moment.
07:13Looking back, I don't think any amount of cartwheels could have prepared me for this one.
07:24Yeah, be quick, but don't hurry.
07:25You know?
07:26I'm really excited about it.
07:28I remember as a kid, like, doing exactly this.
07:31Wanting to sneak downstairs and see if I could catch Santa.
07:35This is it.
07:36Time to make my inner child proud.
07:43Great.
07:44Great.
07:44My strategy is to move as fast as I can.
07:52It's all right.
08:10Oh.
08:12Oh.
08:17Oh.
08:17It was a sneakily fun challenge.
08:35Have fun with the booby traps.
08:36I will.
08:37I'm up next.
08:38My biggest concern is that my pants are a little tight,
08:43but I'm actually pretty light on my feet like a cat.
08:47Silent night.
08:51You have to be as quiet as you possibly can.
08:54Please do it in a normal time.
08:55Oh, OK.
08:56I was going to whisper it.
09:07I'm going to do the best I can, but I mean, what in the world?
09:10Whoever set this up, like, good job.
09:16Oh, shit.
09:17Shh.
09:29No way am I going to do that.
09:38Tight pants.
09:39Tight pants.
09:41Tight pants.
09:42Oh, gosh.
09:55Oh, the tree's right there.
09:58I'm at the tree.
10:00I'm done.
10:01Get me out of this room.
10:03Get me out of this room.
10:04I'm the worst quiet Santa that ever existed.
10:13Craig's been up there for a while.
10:14I wonder how, like, much longer it is.
10:15Hey!
10:16Oh, there he is.
10:17Oh!
10:18What's up, dude?
10:19How'd it go?
10:19That was ridiculous.
10:20How do you feel like it went?
10:24Not great.
10:25Oh, OK.
10:26I'm fairly flexible, although I don't stretch nearly as much
10:29as I should.
10:30As long as none of the bells or whistles or anything are going off, I'm OK.
10:44This challenge is extremely hard because I have the bag, and I'm trying to maneuver it through
11:03all these things, so I'm just trying to take my time to make sure that I'm not hitting anything
11:11in my path.
11:22I can see the tree.
11:23It's right there.
11:26I just got to go a little bit further.
11:28Just a few more steps, and I can put these presents under the tree.
11:32But, I mean, I'm looking at all the obstacles that are between me and the tree, and I'm thinking
11:36I could try to go down there, or I can jump.
11:41Let's go.
11:42Let's go.
11:43Let's go.
11:44Let's go.
11:45Let's go.
11:46Let's go.
11:47Joke from the table does make a little bit of a boof.
11:50I don't know.
11:51I don't know what's going to happen.
11:52Hey, guys.
11:53You obviously all did a great job, but one of you had the most silentists of nightists.
12:01The winner of this festive face-off is...
12:03Marcus, congrats.
12:04What?
12:05I did not think I won that.
12:06What?
12:07I was really scared about that jump at the end, and I guess it paid off.
12:21Big risk, big reward.
12:22Exactly.
12:23Congratulations, Marcus.
12:24Now, go get your footing for your next star quality challenge.
12:28All right.
12:29See you soon.
12:30Great.
12:31All right.
12:32Coming up...
12:33Oh, wow.
12:34It's going to be a blast.
12:35I'm a sugar cookie.
12:36Practically impossible not to love.
12:38Do you know anybody that sounds like that?
12:41Um, but we still live together.
12:42Yeah.
12:43Oh, that's awkward.
12:44I think tonight's my favorite piece, because you can just do the most things.
12:48Okay, okay.
12:49Like being an actor, you've got to be versatile, right?
12:50Right, right, right.
12:51You can also jump over pieces.
12:52He's the only piece that can do that.
12:53You know how to play?
12:54Yeah.
12:55Oh, yeah.
12:56I love chess.
12:57My wife kicks my butt, but...
12:58Yeah, you're going to chip in any time.
12:59I do love chess.
13:00I definitely want to teach my son to play someday.
13:02We're going to learn right now.
13:03I could keep beating him over the years until...
13:04Yeah.
13:05Yeah.
13:06Yeah.
13:07Yeah.
13:08Yeah.
13:09Yeah.
13:10He gets good enough to handle Pops.
13:13This is like the longest I've been without him, you know?
13:16How old is he?
13:17Letting my wife handle up the kid full-time.
13:19He's, uh, gosh, he's eight weeks now, so just two months.
13:21Eight weeks?
13:22Okay.
13:23Yeah, still fresh, man.
13:24It's, uh...
13:25Is it getting easier?
13:26Um, it definitely gets easier as you go.
13:29You kind of figure out what works, what doesn't work.
13:31Every day is super bittersweet in the house, because I'm getting one day closer to becoming
13:35Mr. Christmas, but it's also another day that I haven't been home with my wife and with myself.
13:39And with my son.
13:40That's a huge responsibility.
13:41How do you feel like you're going to parent your son, like...
13:45Knowing what I struggled with growing up, I don't want to impress that upon him in any way.
13:50Giving him the freedom to make his own decisions, and also encouraging him that mistakes are okay.
13:57In fact, make them, because you're going to do so much better, you're going to get so much further when you allow yourself to do that, you know?
14:04That's great, man.
14:05I'm sure you knew.
14:06I'm going to assure you you're going to do awesome.
14:08Oh, yeah.
14:09You definitely are.
14:10Oh, thanks.
14:11I can already tell.
14:12You can never go wrong just doing your best.
14:17I have had an incredible time with all of the Star Quality Challenges so far.
14:22I feel pretty confident that I'm going to be able to do the work, connect with the character, connect with my co-star.
14:28So I'm sure that this is going to be epic.
14:33Hey, guys.
14:34Nice to see you here at the Kringle Creek.
14:36Nice.
14:37Ooh, Kringle Creek.
14:38Lovely.
14:39One of the most romantic spots for a picnic date.
14:43Ooh.
14:44Picnic.
14:45In this Star Quality Challenge, we want to see you in a classic Hallmark scene.
14:49A leading man having a romantic date with his leading lady.
14:53But there's a twist.
14:55This scene picks up in the middle of the date, and in the middle of the relationship.
15:00We're at about page 65 in the script, where they know each other, they're already together.
15:06So before you start the scene, you have to make sure you create some chemistry with your co-star.
15:11There's a history with this person.
15:13You've already had time together.
15:15So for this one, you don't have to stick to the script.
15:18Use it as a guide.
15:19Some of you may end up improvising and saying different lines.
15:23It is about that connection.
15:25Receive what she's given you and give it right back to her.
15:27You're the mirror of what she's given you.
15:29Okay, okay.
15:30And we have the perfect co-star for you guys.
15:33We do.
15:34This Hallmark star is an actress, director, and writer who's been seen in movies like Jingle Bell Run.
15:40She hosts the unscripted series Small Town Setup and runs Make Her Mark, the Hallmark women's directing program.
15:47Wow.
15:48It's the outstanding Ashley Williams.
15:51Hi, Ashley.
15:53So great to be here.
15:54Thank you so much for having me.
15:56Welcome, Ashley.
15:57These are the boys.
15:58Boys, Ashley.
15:59Hi, everybody.
16:00We're going to be acting with the Ashley Williams in this one, a Hallmark superstar.
16:05This is going to be a great opportunity that I'm not going to take for granted.
16:08I think you guys are at this point pretty seasoned on the beginning parts of the relationship that develop over the course of the Hallmark movies.
16:15But this is sort of like a get to know you time.
16:18So I would focus more than anything else on that.
16:21Just being authentic to sort of having the relationship evolve right in front of your eyes.
16:26And we'll find it together.
16:27I'm right here with you.
16:28I've got you.
16:29So it's going to be a blast.
16:31Marcus, since you won the festive face off, you are going to be picking the order in which everyone performs.
16:36Yes.
16:37Okay, that's good.
16:38That's good.
16:39I like it.
16:40Okay, so Angel is up first.
16:41Okay.
16:42I'm going to go second.
16:43I want to go second because the longer you have to wait to go, you can get really nervous and get in your head.
16:49Craig is third.
16:50Davey is fourth.
16:51And Rustin, you are fifth.
16:54All right, boys.
16:55Here are your scripts.
16:56You'll be judged on the chemistry and the connection you create with Ashley.
17:00And that will start the moment you meet her.
17:06There's a lot more about you than you think.
17:08Date scene with Ashley Williams.
17:10It's two people just kind of getting to know each other.
17:12They're starting to realize, okay, I think I like this person.
17:16And I've been there before.
17:17I can relate.
17:18Which is better, giving Christmas gifts or receiving them?
17:22Definitely giving gifts.
17:25Last cookies are perfect.
17:26Just with everything.
17:27Sprinkles, frosting.
17:29I don't have any experience doing romantic scenes like this, but I know working with a pro
17:34like Ashley will make my life a lot easier.
17:36I almost feel like I wish I wouldn't went first because I do feel like good and fresh right now.
17:40You can't go back.
17:41Second, second.
17:42I know.
17:43I'll trade you.
17:44But second is just as good because I hate waiting.
17:46Go take your backsies.
17:51Hello, Angel.
17:52Hi.
17:53I'm excited to watch you shine.
17:54This scene is about connecting with your co-stars.
17:57So prior to starting the scene, I want to connect with her.
18:01Hi, Ashley.
18:02Oh my God.
18:03It's such a pleasure to work with you.
18:04You too.
18:05Come and take a seat.
18:06Apparently this food is all stuff that we can actually eat.
18:10Should we want to.
18:11Cool.
18:12Yeah.
18:13Can I ask you for a favor?
18:15We can do anything you want.
18:16Yeah.
18:17Tell me, what's the name of your mom?
18:19My mom?
18:20Yeah.
18:21Oh, her name was Linda.
18:22She passed away, but yeah.
18:24I'm so sorry.
18:25It's okay.
18:26My dad passed away too.
18:27Oh, did he?
18:28What was his name?
18:29Emilio.
18:30See, this isn't even part of the scene.
18:32I just love that he loves to connect with everybody.
18:34He's been doing that with everyone on set.
18:36What a great choice.
18:37He's locked in on her eyes.
18:39All right.
18:40That was two in a row.
18:41Okay.
18:42So it is my turn.
18:44Okay.
18:45Okay.
18:46Now we starting on the script.
18:48I'm an open book, so shoot.
18:50Okay.
18:51What is your favorite Christmas cookie?
18:54No, wrong answers.
18:55Wait a second.
18:56You could have asked me anything in the entire world and you went with cookies?
19:00I thought we were supposed to be getting deep here.
19:03Don't be fooled.
19:04Your favorite cookie says more than you think.
19:07All right.
19:08It's molasses.
19:10Interesting.
19:11Oh no, what?
19:13Molasses.
19:14Molasses.
19:15It's a little bit spicy.
19:18And while its edges may be crispy, at its center, it's a total soft.
19:28That's my entire personality summed up in a holiday baked good.
19:32Um.
19:33Now that is some chemistry right there.
19:36Angel, forget about it.
19:37If you're so smart, what cookie are you?
19:40Ah.
19:41That's easy.
19:42I'm a sugar cookie.
19:44Practically impossible not to love.
19:47Wow.
19:49Okay.
19:51It's my turn for a question.
19:52I get the last one.
19:53Shoot.
19:54Is it better to give Christmas gifts or to receive them?
19:58To give them.
19:59Yes?
20:00There's nothing better than giving someone a gift because you know that they're gonna love it.
20:05Agreed.
20:06Duh.
20:07Agreed.
20:08All right, well I know that you're about to go home for Christmas.
20:10Oh my gosh, I'm gonna miss you.
20:12I'm gonna miss you too.
20:13Promise me you're gonna think of me.
20:15I will.
20:16I will too.
20:17Cut!
20:18Angel!
20:19Angel has so much raw emotion vibrating just underneath the surface.
20:23That's just able to be tapped into at a moment's notice.
20:26Yes.
20:27And he did it right then.
20:28He's very in touch with it.
20:29He didn't even hesitate.
20:30Angel, that was amazing.
20:31Oh my gosh.
20:32You got straight up emotional.
20:34You were doing the chin quiver.
20:36What?
20:37That was so impressive.
20:38Thank you, Ashley.
20:39I am so honored.
20:40That was incredible.
20:41I'm super impressed with you.
20:43I think he was very intentional about how he physicalized it.
20:46Like first the hand, then he went there.
20:48I mean, give me an almond.
20:49I mean, I feel like we need to open this up.
20:51We need to open that up.
20:52That was so hot and steamy.
20:53I need some punch.
20:54Coming up.
20:55Unless this is a little bit spicy, a little bit sweet.
20:59There's me.
21:00There's me.
21:01Oh my gosh.
21:02Where is it?
21:03One of you will be going home tonight.
21:08All right.
21:09Hi, Marcus.
21:10Hello, hello.
21:11Get over here.
21:12Ashley.
21:13Welcome, welcome, welcome.
21:14All right, we got this.
21:15Shake it out, shake it out.
21:16I'm right here.
21:17Everybody's going to flirt a little bit differently.
21:19When I reach for your hand, feel free just to give me one hand.
21:21Just one.
21:22Just one, yeah.
21:23Who needs two?
21:24Yeah.
21:25Marcus.
21:26Oh, that child.
21:27Cute, cute, cute.
21:28I need a little drink.
21:29What is this?
21:30Some lemonade?
21:31Yeah, it's apparently lemonade with some crayon.
21:33For you.
21:35Whether it's, you know, the eye contact, whether it's a little bit of touching, whether it's
21:38just making the other person laugh.
21:40You just winked at me and I liked it.
21:43Everybody's going to connect in a different way.
21:45So I wanted to bring some of the ways I like to connect with people to the scene.
21:48So we start like midway, halfway through a...
21:51So yeah, finish me off with something, anything.
21:54Anything you're feeling, like I just answered a question for you.
21:56Yeah, yeah, yeah.
21:57Yeah.
21:58And that is how we found my cat.
22:01Well, you've asked me two questions in a row now.
22:04Okay.
22:05So now it's my turn.
22:06I'm an open book.
22:07Okay.
22:08Shoot.
22:09So what is your favorite Christmas cookie?
22:10No wrong answers.
22:11Take your time, think about it.
22:13Wait a second.
22:14You could have asked me anything in the entire world and you went with cookies.
22:18I thought we were supposed to be getting deep.
22:20Don't be fooled, okay?
22:22Your favorite Christmas cookie paints a much bigger picture about who you are and you may
22:27think.
22:28Wow.
22:29All right.
22:30Well, it's molasses.
22:32So what's your analysis?
22:34Molasses is a no frills kind of cookie.
22:38It doesn't need special icing or sprinkles to stand out.
22:42It's perfect just the way it is.
22:44And molasses is a little bit spicy, a little bit sweet.
22:50It may be a little crispy around the edges, but at its center, it's a total softy.
22:57Oh, do you know anybody that sounds like that?
23:01I don't know if I do.
23:02Is there anybody around here that makes sound like that?
23:06Yeah, that is my entire personality summarized in a holiday baked good.
23:11Just a little bit.
23:12Oh, yeah.
23:13No, pretty much tail in the head.
23:15All right.
23:16If you're so smart, if you were to be a cookie, what cookie would you be?
23:19Oh, that's an easy one.
23:20Really?
23:21I'm a sugar cookie.
23:22Practically impossible not to love.
23:26Is it better to give gifts or to receive them?
23:32Mm.
23:33That's a good one.
23:34Is it?
23:35No.
23:36I don't think there's anything better than giving someone a gift that you know they're
23:41going to love.
23:42I agree.
23:43Mm-hmm.
23:44So I know we're going to spend Christmas apart because you and your family have very special
23:49traditions.
23:50Yeah.
23:51I may have called them and they are okay to come out and spend Christmas in my hometown
23:58if you are okay with that.
24:01My family's going to come for Christmas?
24:03Yeah.
24:04You guys are going to all come and spend it with me and my family.
24:06We haven't gotten to spend Christmas together since my dad passed away.
24:09I know.
24:11And...
24:12Cut!
24:13I like that!
24:16Wow!
24:17Marcus!
24:18You just like clicked in and started going.
24:20You made it so easy.
24:21The eye contact, the going back and forth.
24:24Oh, yeah.
24:25So amazing.
24:26You got this, girl.
24:27It's time.
24:28Oh, you're up, dude.
24:29Bring it.
24:30You got it, man.
24:31All right, fellas.
24:32Ashley Williams, Hallmark icon, is ready to have the best scene you've ever had in your
24:36life.
24:37Hello, Hallmark icon.
24:38I know that this is a good opportunity for me to express more emotions and I'm going
24:43to do that with Ashley.
24:44What I had in mind at the very tippy top, you're wanting to get deep.
24:47Got it.
24:48It says in the script.
24:49Yeah.
24:50So I can come from a real place.
24:51Yeah, yeah, yeah.
24:52Maybe just what happened with your ex.
24:53Ooh, okay.
24:54Good.
24:55That's okay to talk about on a date.
24:56Heck yeah.
24:57You know?
24:58Yeah.
24:59So you want to know.
25:00You want to get to know me.
25:01Okay, great.
25:02So you ask me that.
25:03I'll give you my answer.
25:04We roll.
25:05Ooh.
25:06We've asked him to go there.
25:07Well, it sounds like that was really hard.
25:08I got you.
25:09I got you.
25:10Oh, thank you.
25:11Thank you so much.
25:12Yeah, yeah, yeah.
25:13It's no problem.
25:14I mean, I'm fine now, but we broke up.
25:17Yeah.
25:18But we still live together.
25:20Oh, that's awkward.
25:21It was tough.
25:22So we just kind of tried to pretend that everything was the same and obviously it wasn't.
25:28Right.
25:29And you know, we just kind of had to pull the plug at some point.
25:33But I mean, silver linings, you know, I wouldn't be here with you.
25:38That's the silver lining.
25:39I'm happy to be here.
25:40Yeah, of course.
25:41Yeah.
25:42Wow.
25:43Thank you for telling me that.
25:44I know that's not easy to talk about.
25:45It's okay.
25:46Mm-hmm.
25:47All right.
25:48You asked me two in a row.
25:49It's my turn.
25:50Okay.
25:51Ready?
25:52Yeah.
25:53I'm an open book.
25:54So shoot.
25:55Let's see.
25:56Your favorite Christmas cookie.
26:00No wrong answers.
26:01Wait a second.
26:02You could have literally asked me anything in the world and you went with cookies.
26:05I thought we were supposed to be getting deep here.
26:07I was throwing you some hard balls.
26:09Hey, I mean, don't be fooled.
26:11You could learn a lot about someone by their favorite Christmas cookie.
26:13Okay.
26:14All right.
26:15Um, well, it's molasses.
26:17Molasses?
26:18Yeah.
26:19Yeah.
26:20What's your...
26:21Interesting.
26:22What's your analysis?
26:23Um, hmm.
26:24Hmm.
26:25I mean, it's a little sweet.
26:26Yeah.
26:27It's a little spicy.
26:28No.
26:29You know, it's a little crispy.
26:30Yeah.
26:31But the inside?
26:32Total softy.
26:33Kind of sounds familiar, right?
26:35Yeah.
26:36It's true.
26:37Bingo.
26:38All right.
26:39So, if you're so smart, what would your holiday cookie be if you were one?
26:45Me?
26:46Yeah.
26:47That's easy.
26:48I'm a sugar cookie all day.
26:49Oh.
26:50You wanna know why?
26:51Yeah.
26:52Not to love.
26:53Uh-huh.
26:57Yeah.
26:58No, it's...
26:59That's...
27:00True.
27:01Okay.
27:02I get the last question.
27:04Okay.
27:05Is it better to give gifts or receive them?
27:08There's no better feeling than just giving someone a gift that you know they're gonna love,
27:13you know?
27:14I totally agree.
27:15Yeah.
27:16Well, since we're not gonna spend Christmas together, um...
27:21We have a little thing.
27:22There's me.
27:23There?
27:24Oh my gosh, where is it?
27:25Are you okay?
27:26It's gone now.
27:27Are you okay?
27:28Yeah, of course I'm okay.
27:29I didn't even see it.
27:30Was it on your head?
27:31No, it just like came up and said hi and...
27:33The old...
27:34I feel like we're watching someone's date and it feels a little wrong.
27:37Yeah.
27:38And it whispered.
27:39It whispers something in my ear.
27:40Classic.
27:41You know what it whispered?
27:42What'd it say?
27:43It's like, go on the date.
27:44All right.
27:45Although we do like watching other people's dates.
27:46Oh, look at that.
27:47I feel like you're getting emotional.
27:48I'm not emotional.
27:49I'm just...
27:50Okay.
27:51Me neither.
27:52And scene!
27:53Cut!
27:54So fun.
27:55Great job.
27:56Thanks for protecting me from the bee.
27:57I mean, that was like such a gift we got.
27:59Honestly, the bee.
28:00I'm glad it didn't sting you because that wouldn't have been a gift.
28:02But had it...
28:03No, I think it was just...
28:04You know, it gave us life.
28:05Yeah, it sure did.
28:06Yeah.
28:07So, that was fun.
28:08But right now I'm on cloud nine.
28:09All right, feel good.
28:10I guess I gotta hit it then, huh?
28:11You're done.
28:12Now you gotta go.
28:13Bye.
28:14Later, Ashley.
28:15I'll see you later on.
28:16Definitely.
28:17How you feeling, man?
28:18You'll be able to go through it in here.
28:21Uh-huh.
28:22That's another thing when you're out there.
28:23Yeah.
28:24Thus far, it's been evident that Jonathan and Melissa have liked a lot of bold choices in taking risks in scenes.
28:31My plan is to do a 30-second or so monologue at the end of our scene.
28:35Welcome, Davey.
28:36How are you?
28:37Good.
28:38Nervous, but I'm good.
28:39It's a good kind of nerves.
28:40That's called excitement, my friends.
28:42Yeah.
28:43How can I help you right now?
28:44At the end, I was gonna do like a 30-second monologue-ish.
28:47Okay.
28:48Give or take.
28:49Okay.
28:50Yeah.
28:51Um, great.
28:52Great.
28:53That's a choice.
28:54I mean, the camera loves him.
28:55Coming up, I think you are the most amazing person that I've ever met.
28:58Yeah.
28:59Well, you guys gotta be good.
29:00One of you will be going home tonight.
29:01The scene sort of starts halfway through, you know?
29:02Mm-hmm.
29:03So is there anything I can do to help you because we're sort of mid-scene?
29:04As a lead-in?
29:05Yeah.
29:06Um, I don't think so.
29:07I could pick it up.
29:08Okay.
29:09I'm okay just to start it.
29:10Great.
29:11Yeah.
29:12All right.
29:13I'm right here.
29:14Okay.
29:15All right.
29:16Awesome.
29:17All right.
29:18You've had a chance to ask me a couple questions in a row now.
29:20Mm-hmm.
29:21I think it's my turn.
29:22Okay.
29:23Shoot.
29:24What is your favorite Christmas cookie?
29:25A Christmas cookie?
29:26Mm-hmm.
29:27Wait a second.
29:28You could have asked me anything in the whole world.
29:29You're asking me about movies and cookies.
29:30I thought we were going to get deep.
29:31That's the best way to get to know somebody.
29:33You can tell a lot about somebody based on their favorite Christmas cookie.
29:37What's he doing with his mouth?
29:38I don't know.
29:39I don't know.
29:40I don't know.
29:41I don't know.
29:42I don't know.
29:43I don't know.
29:44I don't know.
29:45I don't know.
29:46I don't know.
29:47I don't know.
29:48I don't know.
29:49What are you doing with his mouth?
29:50Getting grapes out of it.
29:51Yeah.
29:52Okay.
29:53More grapes.
29:54Please don't eat any more grapes.
29:55It's molasses.
29:56Molasses.
29:57Interesting.
29:58Yeah.
29:59What's your analysis?
30:00Actually, you know what?
30:01Hmm.
30:02I can see that.
30:03That doesn't surprise me at all.
30:04Really?
30:05Yeah.
30:06Now that you mention it.
30:08The thing is, about molasses cookies, they're perfect just the way they are.
30:14You don't need any sprinkles.
30:16You don't need any frosting.
30:18They're a little bit sweet, also a little bit spicy.
30:21Mm-hmm.
30:22That's my entire personality summed up in a holiday baked good.
30:26Was I...
30:27Does that sound kind of familiar?
30:28Maybe.
30:29Okay.
30:30If you're so smart, um...
30:31Don't eat any more grapes.
30:32Don't eat any more grapes.
30:33Don't eat any more grapes.
30:34Don't eat any more grapes.
30:35What Christmas cookie would you be?
30:37Hmm.
30:38I would say probably a sugar cookie.
30:42Oh, yeah.
30:43They're simple, but everybody likes them.
30:46Right?
30:47Yeah.
30:49Going home is gonna be super bittersweet for me, I think.
30:53Oh, this is Davy's monologue.
30:55LA, honestly, is moving so fast.
30:58When I come back here and I'm with you, things just slow down and it, I think, just kind of reaffirms ultimately what I want in life.
31:05I want to settle down and I could use some of that molasses.
31:09Me?
31:10Yeah.
31:11Aww.
31:12That's sweet.
31:13I would prefer to cancel my flight and spend the holidays with you if you'd like to have me.
31:21And cut!
31:22Perfect!
31:23I'm hopeful that what I did in the scene and my monologue was enough to keep me alive, but I'm feeling as uncertain as ever.
31:30Yeah, I've never seen anyone eat so many grapes in a scene.
31:33Great job.
31:34That is the boldest choice I've ever seen.
31:36That was the boldest choice.
31:37That was the boldest choice.
31:38He's stunningly handsome.
31:41Like, distractingly so.
31:43Mm-hmm.
31:44We saw you going...
31:45I was like...
31:47Totally.
31:54Everyone brought it.
31:55I think I'm sure Rustin and Davy are bringing it, too.
31:58Oh, yeah.
31:59I have no doubt.
32:00So true.
32:01Well, you guys gotta be good.
32:03All right.
32:04I made a picnic.
32:05Oh, I love it.
32:06Welcome.
32:07I wanted to have two seconds with you if you wanted to do something with me.
32:10Oh, God, yes.
32:11Please.
32:12Is that okay?
32:13Yeah.
32:14I just wanna hold your hands.
32:15Okay.
32:16And look into your eyes for, like, ten seconds.
32:17Okay.
32:18This is such a good actor trick.
32:19I've done it with my co-stars all the time.
32:21And it works.
32:23Can't wait.
32:24You went to theater school like me!
32:25That's theater 101.
32:26Connecting with your co-star.
32:27He did exactly what I would've done.
32:28You went to theater school like me!
32:32That's theater 101.
32:33Connecting with your co-star.
32:34He did exactly what I would've done.
32:35This scene starts, like, halfway through.
32:36Do you want me to lead you in?
32:37Do you wanna just get going?
32:38I feel like I have a prompt at the top that I thought would really lead us in.
32:39Let's do it.
32:40I'm so here for it.
32:41Are you cool with that?
32:42Yes!
32:43Okay, great.
32:44Can't wait.
32:47You went to theater school, like, hey!
32:50That's theater 101, connecting with your co-star.
32:54He did exactly what I would have done.
32:56This scene starts, like, halfway through.
32:58Do you want me to lead you in?
32:59Do you want to just get going?
33:01I feel like I have a prompt at the top
33:03that I thought would really lead us in.
33:04So here for it.
33:05Are you cool with that?
33:06Yes!
33:07Okay, great.
33:08Yeah, and this food, you can eat any of it.
33:09Oh, great.
33:11Don't, well, don't play it, you know.
33:15I don't know.
33:16Wait, that's a really good question.
33:18What?
33:19Favorite Christmas tradition.
33:21Yeah.
33:21My mom always gives us one Christmas present
33:25to open on Christmas Eve.
33:26Night before.
33:27Yes, me too.
33:28And we used to always pretend we didn't know what it was.
33:31But, um, it was matching pajamas.
33:34I love that.
33:36And is there anything better than brand new pajamas
33:39when they're super soft?
33:40Right, and you just feel so festive, you know?
33:42All right, you got to ask me two questions in a row.
33:45Now it's my turn.
33:46All right, I'm an open book.
33:47Shoot.
33:48What's your favorite Christmas cookie?
33:50No wrong answers.
33:51Wait.
33:52You literally, you could have asked me anything.
33:54What?
33:55Anything in the world, and you went with cookies.
33:56Don't be fooled.
33:57Well, I thought we were going deep here.
33:58No, no, no, don't be fooled.
33:59Your favorite cookie says a lot more about you
34:01than you'd think.
34:02Really?
34:02Yeah, yeah.
34:03Okay.
34:04Suddenly it feels personal.
34:05Um, all right, my favorite cookie is molasses.
34:09Molasses?
34:10Yeah, what's your analysis?
34:11I don't know.
34:12What?
34:13Of course.
34:14What?
34:15It makes perfect sense.
34:16Oh, no, what?
34:17Now, molasses is a no-frills cookie, you know?
34:20It doesn't need sprinkles or frosting to stand out.
34:24It's perfect just as it is.
34:27Molasses is a little spicy, a little sweet.
34:34I don't even know its edges are a little crispy.
34:37At its core, it's totally softy.
34:42Wow.
34:43You sound like someone you know?
34:43Oh.
34:44It's my entire personality summed up in a holiday baked cookie.
34:48All right, well, if you're so smart,
34:51what Christmas cookie are you?
34:52Oh, that's a you.
34:53Really?
34:54Sugar cookie.
34:55Huh.
34:56How can we be impossible not to love?
35:01All right, I get the last question.
35:03Shoot.
35:04Is it better to give Christmas gifts or to receive them?
35:09There's nothing better than giving someone
35:12a gift you know they're going to love.
35:16I agree.
35:18I think you are the most amazing person that I've ever met.
35:22And cut!
35:23Cut!
35:25So much fun.
35:27I feel really good about how the scene went,
35:29and I just, I hope I did enough.
35:31Too fun.
35:32Get to hang out with us more, hopefully.
35:32I hope so.
35:34We'll get to play a little more theater art.
35:35It'll be awesome.
35:37And also, come on, nice spread.
35:39Right?
35:39I actually didn't do this.
35:41Thank you, thank you, thank you.
35:43Wow, you guys, we saw things from each of our guys that we have not seen in this competition.
35:49There was a lot of creativity and handsomeness to boot.
35:52Yes, there was a lot of handsomeness right there.
35:54Yeah.
35:55Let's talk about the guys who really stood out.
35:57Let's talk about Angel.
35:58I think he did a great job.
35:59I mean, he really had this moment before with you.
36:02How did that feel?
36:03There were tears in his eyes.
36:04His chin was quivering.
36:06And I was like, whoa, like, where is this going?
36:09And I just got to hold on for the ride, which was really fun.
36:12He understood the assignment, and he delivered.
36:15Let's talk about Craig.
36:16Honestly, like, he showed up, he came to play, he thought about it.
36:19He put his brain into it.
36:22He put his hand on his face, and he looked in your eyes, and I watched you get lost in
36:26them for a second.
36:27And then two seconds later, he made me laugh.
36:29Totally.
36:30Craig did the perfect mix of heart and humor.
36:34Now let's talk about the guys who didn't fully stand out.
36:37Marcus.
36:37He started off a little, I wouldn't say, in his stride.
36:41It did feel a little bit like stiff, like a little bit planned.
36:44The problem is, when you're doing a scene and you're shooting a movie, we have to be
36:47correct and on our mark from the beginning of the scene.
36:50So that is a problem.
36:52And there's Davey.
36:53He had this pre-planned monologue he wanted to give.
36:55Instead of just saying, I'm just going to go with this.
36:58He stopped what was happening to go with something he was thinking about that he wanted to do.
37:01He wanted to get honest and vulnerable and intimate, which that speech did.
37:07Let's talk about Rustin.
37:08It felt like he was creating these little moments, these little, um, like, hallmark moments,
37:14whether they be comedic or emotional.
37:17I felt that the lines felt a little more like, I'm hitting on you, other than I'm falling
37:22in love with you.
37:23Just for a second.
37:24I mean, there's no question that Rustin is a fantastic actor.
37:27Like, he knows what he's doing.
37:28The question is, is he the next Mr. Christmas?
37:31We have a big decision to make because, unfortunately, one of our guys has to go home tonight.
37:38I mean, I truly don't know what we're going to do.
37:40I don't either.
37:40I'm going to bring the charcuterie board.
37:42I'm going to need to eat our way through this.
37:43We have to emotionally eat.
37:44Yeah.
37:44Yeah.
37:53Going into this elimination, I am by far the most uncomfortable I've been since I've been here.
37:58I'm feeling the pressure amounting more and more and more.
38:01I feel like I'm almost about to burst.
38:04Hello, gentlemen.
38:06Welcome to another elimination in this frosty wonderland.
38:09In today's star quality challenge, you performed in a classic Hallmark scene.
38:14It was such an absolute pleasure getting to just sort of explore the scene with you,
38:19have some charcuterie, and there's a lot of trust there, and I really appreciate it.
38:25You guys, it felt like you were leveling each other up in a lot of those moments,
38:28and it was really delightful to watch.
38:30Only one of you will be tonight's shining star.
38:34And that person gave us the perfect balance of romance, charm, comedy, and authenticity.
38:40The recipe for a Hallmark leading man.
38:44The winner of this star quality challenge and tonight's shining star is...
38:50Craig.
38:58Hey!
39:01Good job.
39:02He looked so nervous.
39:05I was afraid he was going to pass out.
39:07Hey, two in a row.
39:08Oh my gosh, man.
39:09You're on fire.
39:10Yeah.
39:11Yeah, dude.
39:12Craig, you did something I think a Hallmark leading man is,
39:15and that is finding the time to be flirty and finding the time to be funny.
39:20Today, I saw a leading man, and I was so proud of you.
39:23It was wonderful to see.
39:25It's really kind.
39:28But with a win comes a loss.
39:31Marcus, Davey, will you please step down?
39:41One of you will be going home tonight.
39:43This is my first time being in the bottom, and it does not feel good.
39:47Davey, you started your scene a little nervous, and you got distracted by the props.
39:53It's important to keep your focus on your leading lady.
39:56When you don't, the connection between you and your co-star suffers.
40:01Marcus, you seemed shaky and a little inauthentic at times in the scene.
40:07This made it hard for Ashley to connect with you in the beginning.
40:12Unfortunately.
40:22Davey, it's time to take your stocking down.
40:25You're going home for the holidays.
40:27I'm sorry, man.
40:28It's all right, man.
40:29She did great.
40:31I came here with one friend, and I'm leaving with nine.
40:37It's all right, man.
40:38We're so proud of you, bro.
40:39Dude, we're really awesome, man.
40:40Davey, your heart is bigger than your biceps, and those are pretty big.
40:48Congratulations, Davey, on making it this far, and we can't wait to see what you do next.
40:54Davey!
41:00For me, this opportunity boiled down to making myself proud
41:04and doing something that scares me for the sake of doing it,
41:08even if it means taking a loss,
41:10you do learn a lot more about your losses than you do your wins,
41:13and this is one that I know that I'm definitely going to learn from.
41:18This is the time to focus and shine.
41:21We'll see you next time as the hunt for Mr. Christmas continues.
41:25We'll see you next time as the hunt for Mr. Christmas.
41:55We'll see you next time as the hunt for Mr. Christmas.
