00:00Early one morning, a commotion arose in the forest. Birds were chirping loudly everywhere, rabbits were running around, and monkeys were climbing down the trees, looking here and there.
00:16The news had spread that the oldest and kindest tree in the forest, Old Banyan Bubba, was about to fall due to weakness and frailty. For years, he had been the shady friend of the forest. Birds built nests on his branches, animals came to rest under him, and, most importantly, honeybees built their hives on him.
00:44Over a hundred honeycombs hung from this banyan tree. The bees had lived here for years. They collected honey in their dense, waxy hives, raised young ones, and the queen bee was protected by them. Their life had an interesting order.
01:04Some bees made honey, some cleaned the hives, and some male bees went to other parts of the forest to collect nectar from flowers.
01:16They all obeyed the orders of their queen. Upon hearing this, Bulo Barlow hurried with his heavy steps to the banyan tree.
01:27He was an old friend of the tree. He saw that the tree had bent, its roots were coming out of the soil, and its branches were touching the ground.
01:40Bulo decided that he would not let his friend fall. He called the nearby animals.
01:47Monkey Raju and Rabbit Chonchon came immediately. Raju brought strong vines from the trees, and Chonchon dragged thick stakes from the edge of the forest and placed them under the banyan-esque trunk.
02:04Bulo gathered logs with his strong paws and broke heavy branches to reduce the weight.
02:10Birds flew, birds flew, and began trimming the lighter branches.
02:16Deanilo and Parrot Mithu brought stones from a nearby hill and placed them near the roots.
02:24Together they added soil so that the roots could be pressed back into the ground.
02:30The bees, who were initially scared, became very happy seeing Bulo and his friends love.
02:37Their queen bee buzzed into Bulo's ear and said,
02:42Bulo, you have saved our home. We want to give you a precious gift.
02:49If you wish, you can build your home near this banyan, and we will provide you the finest honey from our hives.
02:57Bulo became happy.
02:59He thanked them and said he would build a small home of wood and leaves for himself nearby,
03:05so that he could always take care of the banyan.
03:09The bees gave him small pots filled with honey as gifts and promised that as long as the banyan remained safe,
03:19the sweetness of the honey would never decrease.
03:24Thus another story unfolded in the forest about love, friendship, and respect for life.
03:31Birds sang, bees hummed, and Bulo sat in his little hut tasting honey while banyan bubba breathed peacefully.
03:42Life in the forest was once again filled with joy.
