Two riders were left “stranded,” dangling more than 100 feet in the air after a terrifying ‘tilt’ roller coaster stopped mid-ride on Wednesday night. They were hanging at a 90-degree angle “for nearly an hour” before emergency services were able to release them, a publicist representing the men has claimed. The incident occurred on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) sports complex in Travis County, Texas — about 15 miles outside of Austin. In addition to the racetracks, COTA also has its own amusement park: COTALAND. Earlier this year, the park introduced Circuit Breaker, Texas’ first tilt coater, according to the company’s website.
