സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ തദ്ദേശ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഇനി പുതിയ ഭരണാധികാരികള്. തിരുവനന്തപുരം കോര്പ്പറേഷനിൽ മുതിർന്ന അംഗം കോൺഗ്രസിന്റെ ക്ലീറ്റസ് ആദ്യം സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്തു. ബിജെപി കൗണ്സിലര് വിവി രാജേഷ്, ആര് ശ്രീലേഖ അടക്കമുള്ളവരും സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്തു. ഭരണഘടന കയ്യിലേന്തിയാണ് കവടിയാര് കൗണ്സിലര് കെഎസ് ശബരീനാഥൻ സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്തത്. വൈഷ്ണ സുരേഷ് അടക്കമുള്ളവരും സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്തു. ഭരണഘടന കയ്യിലേന്തിയാണ് വൈഷ്ണയും സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്തത്. മുദ്രാവാക്യം മുഴക്കിയാണ് ബിജെപി അംഗങ്ങളുടെ സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞയെ പ്രവര്ത്തകര് വരവേറ്റത്. Local self-government institutions in the state now have new representatives. At the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, senior Congress member Cleetus was the first to take oath. BJP councillors including V V Rajesh and R Sreelakha also took oath. Kowdiar councillor K S Sabarinathan took the oath holding the Constitution in his hand. Vaishna Suresh and others were also sworn in, with Vaishna too taking the oath while holding the Constitution. BJP members were welcomed by supporters who raised slogans during the swearing-in ceremony.
