What started as a test between two neighbours to determine who made the better lasagne has become a decades-long feud taking over an entire neighbourhood. The Lilly Street lasagne bake-off in South Fremantle has grown in popularity since its inception in 1998, and while the rivalry is mostly friendly, the tradition is as strong as the community that preserves it.
