00:00Ladies and girls, we have a special guest today.
00:02She's been performing for Crowns for eight, since she was eight years old,
00:0512-year-old Taylor Swift.
00:11Hey, everybody, I'm Taylor.
00:12I'm going to be doing some songs for you guys tonight.
00:15I hope you guys are having a great time.
00:16Very early on, she just knew she was going to have to work hard.
00:23I mean, it depends on how far back we want to go.
00:25But it escalated from school play,
00:32theater group, karaoke nights.
00:35I'm going to be doing some songs for you guys.
00:38And I hope you guys are having a great time, because I sure am.
00:41Calling around to festivals and amusement parks
00:44to see if there was a spot for a little kid with a guitar
00:47and a couple of speakers.
00:50It was as basic as you can possibly imagine,
00:53dragging guitars through airports.
00:56Piling them into a rental car.
01:00Hit another city, another city, and just keep going.
01:07And she, from a very early age,
01:10always knew exactly how she wanted things to be.
01:14And she was always planning
01:15what her headline tour would be like.
01:18You know, I never heard her say the word fame
01:22or money.
01:26It was always just about the opportunity
01:29to go sing her songs
01:33and have everybody else singing those same words back to her.
01:36She would do these theaters,
01:41and they kept getting bigger and bigger
01:43and sold out faster and faster.
01:45So it was, um, a gradual thing.
01:53But I don't think that when you are doing that
01:57you ever, for a split second,
02:01take the time to think,
02:02it will become this.
02:03It will become this.
02:34The European tour was so intense that by the end I was exhausted past a point that
02:57I can remember.
03:00So we need the break after Wembley to recharge not only our bodies, our energy but our passion
03:11for giving that much every night.
03:16So that by the time we got back to the US, we were all just like fired up.
03:23Since we finished the massive European leg of the ARES tour, it's really just been trying
03:42to get back up to speed being home.
03:49We have this two month break, we'll kind of regroup and catch our breath a little bit.
03:53Oh buddy, I'm taking care of my home life and then we'll get ready for the final push.
03:59I love traveling.
04:00I love my job.
04:01It's the best.
04:02And like everything's planned for us and then you get home and you're like, what do I do?
04:07And you have to learn how to schedule things for yourself again.
04:10So why I'm really excited for this break is so that I can sit right here and practice.
04:19I do live with my parents, my little brother and my grandma.
04:25I love coming home to them, getting like home cooked meals and stuff.
04:29I am eventually gonna get my own apartment in LA.
04:33Yes, don't embarrass me.
04:35Definitely, for sure.
04:37It's a long time to be away.
04:40Rachel and I don't have children, but I mean, I went crazy how much I missed the dog.
04:46You know, just trying to get back into being a normal human and having a schedule and adulting.
04:54Trying to get life back together.
04:56Four months is a long time to just check out and have fun, but come back to like, oh reality, my car registration.
05:05Yikes.
05:10Love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this.
05:15Love this, love this, love this, love this.
05:16Okay.
05:17Okay.
05:20So we'll just start in show order and make them easy.
05:22Yeah, let's put on all the...
05:23You know, if you want, we can take these for a spin for the run through.
05:31Sunset.
05:32Hello Miami.
05:33Yeah, this should be first, probably.
05:35So pretty.
05:36Nostalgia is a huge part of the Eros tour.
05:40If you were 12 years old during the Red era,
05:44you're going to remember certain things that you saw
05:47and certain things that you felt.
05:49It's my job to bring those feelings and those visuals back to you.
05:52Wardrobe is one way to do that.
05:54Oh, I love it.
05:56Oh, I'm so excited.
05:59The costume design for the Eros tour
06:02was undertaken by my longtime stylist, Joseph Cassell.
06:05He's been with me since I was 16.
06:11The Eros tour is all about the fans, you know.
06:15The reason I'm able to do my job so well
06:20is because I am a fan too.
06:24I love the organic way that Taylor and I work.
06:27It's like this secret language that we have.
06:30She would send me images.
06:32She'll be like, ooh, send me an image.
06:34And I'm like, aha.
06:35Wow.
06:36I was like, wow.
06:37I designed Epiphany last night.
06:38You did?
06:39And I pulled about 50 different pictures from online.
06:41Nice.
06:42For the acoustic set.
06:43Awesome.
06:44I want it to be all 50s dresses.
06:46For the tour, we chose to be a little reflective and sentimental
06:51and tie in the designers who had been with Taylor from the beginning.
06:58I mean, dancing all night.
06:59Yeah, my feet ache, but I'm wearing Louboutins.
07:02Like, it is a privilege for these feet to ache like this.
07:06This was designed by Roberto Cavalli.
07:09She puts it on in the dark on stage.
07:11The magic of Velcro.
07:12The video for 22.
07:13I remember it like it was yesterday.
07:15Reputation.
07:17These strips are all sequined by hand.
07:19Cavalli, 1989.
07:22I remember meeting with Versace in Milan.
07:25And I was like, oh, my gosh.
07:27When you see the Versace bodysuit just made of all these crystals,
07:33and the light hits it, and it's just .
07:35Oh, my God.
07:36Ooh.
07:37So obsessed with this.
07:39This is my new favorite, for sure.
07:41It somehow, like, heals me from having the stomach flu.
07:45It can take me from being utterly exhausted.
07:48I'm just like, nope.
07:50If I'm wearing this, I got to level up.
07:52I got to be on the level of this outfit.
07:58So here's another option of the coat.
08:00It's less overtly military, you know?
08:04When I start working on something with T.
08:07You want to try the white one?
08:09I'm only thinking about the effect that it has on her.
08:13Oh, my God.
08:14That's amazing.
08:19Until I step into a stadium, and I'm, like, blown away.
08:24This ain't for the best.
08:26My reputation's never been worse, so.
08:29You must like me for me.
08:31Thousands of people dress in a way that reflects one of Taylor's looks.
08:36Dive off on the east side, where you at?
08:38Falling lights at my nightstand in the black.
08:41Come here, you can meet me in the back.
08:43They use tape.
08:44They use stones.
08:45They use whatever.
08:46I am a lover.
08:47She has an outfit with, like, a lot of rainbow fringe.
08:50That's kind of where this came in.
08:52The commitment the fans have is beyond the music.
08:57There's a connection on a deep soul level with Taylor.
09:02During her New Jersey concert, Taylor debuted a new dress in this beautiful burgundy.
09:08Again, like, the jacket.
09:09I really love this one.
09:11Is it cool that I said all that?
09:14The costumes generally mean a lot.
09:17But reputation was monumental.
09:22Is it cool that I said all that?
09:24Is it too soon to do this yet?
09:27Cause I know that it's delicate.
09:30My favorite part of the show is the reputation set.
09:33My mom made this outfit from scratch.
09:35I have, like, a reputation bodysuit inside.
09:37That's right.
09:38Like, each turns into a bodysuit.
09:39I'm a reputation girl, of course.
09:44Taylor Swift's most iconic outfit on the Heiress Tour is, of course, this never-changing reputation bodysuit.
09:51Which we've only gotten one the entire 131 shows.
09:54What we're waiting for right now is to see if Taylor Swift is going to come out with a new reputation outfit.
09:59What's the same?
10:00Same outfit.
10:01Yeah.
10:02We were clowning.
10:03We keep waiting for a new reputation bodysuit just for funsies.
10:08If she were to have a new reputation bodysuit, what would you want it to look like?
10:15This is the new one.
10:16This is the new one.
10:17Yeah.
10:18Oh, it doesn't look bad at all.
10:26No, it does.
10:27It does.
10:28See this?
10:29It's gotta come up.
10:30It has to come up because they think my boobs are here, but they're here.
10:33You know?
10:34The original catsuit was made from a different fabric.
10:39That was all the fabric that there was in the world.
10:41So we had to recreate the fabric for the second one.
10:43And for this one.
10:45I know what you mean.
10:46Yeah, it's just really annoying and I have to do really athletic shit in this.
10:49We thought we could fix it because there was no time for them to actually recreate a new one in time for Miami.
10:55They couldn't do it.
10:56They couldn't do it.
10:57That was...
10:58Yeah.
10:59Slip!
11:00What other...
11:01And you have a piece.
11:02Sit.
11:03Womp.
11:04Womp.
11:05Womp.
11:06No.
11:07What?
11:08Action!
11:09Wait.
11:10I've never done that before.
11:11Dude, that was great.
11:12I'm gonna get one more.
11:13Slip.
11:14This is the tour gift wall where at the end of each tour we get a plaque thanking us for participating in the tour.
11:29This was my first tour with her.
11:30I started with Taylor in 2009.
11:31In the trajectory of my professional life and career, yeah, that's probably the zero to 60 right there.
11:44strapped on to that rocket and have been able to do all of this with her which is great.
11:49Yeah.
11:50Remember this?
11:51Oh.
11:52It was her first birthday present from Taylor.
11:55What's her?
11:56Oh.
11:57What's her?
11:58What's her?
11:59What's her?
12:00What's her?
12:01What's her?
12:02What's her?
12:03What's her?
12:04What's her?
12:05What's her?
12:06You're so cute.
12:07I'm so cute.
12:08I'm so cute.
12:09I'm so cute.
12:10I'm so cute.
12:11I'm so cute.
12:12And I'm so cute.
12:13It's got a little photo of mommy and Sophie, daddy and Sophie, and then Miss Taylor as
12:22she calls her.
12:23Yes, Miss Taylor.
12:25We had both our kids while I was working for her, so she was kind of around both of
12:29the births and I think that this was the first child, yeah, it was the first kid born while
12:34in the band.
12:35Yeah.
12:36And so, yeah, I think it was a special moment.
12:39Yeah.
12:40Yeah.
12:41It's so wonderful being able to carry a professional family with you as you go through
12:50phases of life, as you go through ups and downs and heartbreaks.
13:02There is such a special bond among the touring family.
13:06It's like having another family.
13:08There are the only other people really in the world who know what this is like.
13:12Before the show, after the show, on the off days, we are like this and that's not normal.
13:22It's like she's handpicked these incredible people to be a part of this family.
13:30Most of the people I'm out here on the road with have known me since high school, but also
13:39there are people that I just got to know in this phase of my life.
13:45Jeslyn is one of the most talented, resilient, loving people I've ever been around.
13:52She was the newest addition to our backup singers.
13:55I started with her reputation.
13:58I had never done a stadium tour before.
14:00And so the first show was just like, whoa, this is a lot of people.
14:06We've been singing together for a couple of years.
14:09And when Jeslyn got sick, it was the first blow that the tour family experienced emotionally.
14:19It was like completely unfathomable to us.
14:24Sucks.
14:27While on tour, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and obviously it was devastating.
14:39But every weekend we had a show.
14:41So I still flew to the next city, did a show with everyone and like in the middle of the
14:46week when we weren't doing shows, I would fly back to LA and just had biopsies and just
14:51poked and frotted to learn really what I had to do treatment wise and then hopped back on
14:55stage and pretended like nothing was happening.
15:01I'll never forget when she told us.
15:03Everyone was just in shambles and it's the not knowing.
15:09When I let Taylor know, she came storming in with hugs and crying and just saying, I'm
15:15so sorry.
15:16And her mom said, you just take care of you and we'll be here when you're ready.
15:24So six months I had to like take off and go through chemo, surgery.
15:32I had edema, I had like skin issues.
15:36I usually have all this curly hair.
15:42Lost about 75% of my hair.
15:45I felt and looked completely different and just kind of watch my friends on live streams
15:52in the show.
15:54It was a hard one because we got to come be together for months.
15:59She was home by herself, isolated from the family.
16:10We just wanted her to know that no matter what, under any circumstances, if she wanted
16:16to come back, she could.
16:23Goodbye treatment.
16:27I said, how quickly can I get back on tour after I'm done with radiation?
16:32My doctor said that night, but you have to get back into shape.
16:38She literally finished radiation and got on a plane.
16:43I actually have a video of when we saw each other at the hotel.
16:49Just coming back to this joy filled show and these people just emphasized even more how
16:57much we're a family.
17:00I cannot believe that she was back in a few months.
17:13The will to come back and do the hardest show ever, none of us could believe it.
17:19I still can't.
17:20It's blacked out.
17:48You just keep your body still.
17:53In no way do I ever apply this to my, at any point in the show.
18:01Just want to flag that as I do every time I have to do pull-ups.
18:07Strong dislike, two thumbs down.
18:15You have gotten stronger in one of those throughout the years.
18:17It's from all the pent-up rage and resentment I have for them.
18:20So you leave on Thursday night?
18:23Thursday morning, go there, do a full run-through in the stadium, which I'm really excited about,
18:30with costumes.
18:31I want to be back in it so much that I can not be so, like, remember your stuff that you
18:38don't want to forget, like, you know?
18:40You don't want to see me do this without a rehearsal.
18:42That's what you don't want.
18:44Yeah.
18:45There are a lot of things that we pulled off on this tour that I've never even attempted
18:51on past tours.
18:53I think the longest show I ever did before was two hours and fifteen minutes.
18:59I never would have believed you if you would have told me we would be doing a three-and-a-half-hour
19:02show.
19:03Now, saying that is one thing.
19:07Doing that physically is another.
19:09Eleven.
19:10I've never worked out this much in my life.
19:12It's horrible.
19:20I really had to up my game in terms of physical training.
19:26Six months ahead of my first rehearsal, running on the treadmill every single day at the tempo
19:32of the songs that I was playing while singing them out loud.
19:39You just don't want them to see you panting.
19:421989 and Reputation are very high cardio.
19:47Anything's hard when you're scaling a stage that goes the entire length of an NFL stadium.
19:53I think I run, like, eight miles in the show.
19:55Once we get to Miami, the turnaround time from landing and performing will be very short.
20:04We leave in six days.
20:06Haven't played the show in a couple months.
20:08And there are some things I want to make sure that I don't mess up.
20:12My ex-man brought his new girlfriend.
20:15She's like, oh, my God.
20:17I'm just gonna shake you to the fella over there with the hella good hair.
20:21Won't you come on over, baby?
20:23Let me shake, shake, shake.
20:33All right.
20:40Oh, we are so back.
20:44Nice.
20:45Can I do a video, like, out in the stadium with my cat?
20:51Yeah.
20:52We'll find a place out in the stadium, but it'll be, like, me walking in with my cat.
20:57Just, like, take my sunglasses off.
21:00And, like, so it would be behind me.
21:03Okay.
21:04And then once I stopped, start going around me like this.
21:07Okay.
21:08It's basically like we're back in the office.
21:10Yeah.
21:11You know?
21:12And I've got my most well-behaved cat for it.
21:24She is my best one.
21:31What an idiot.
21:32Shirts on backwards.
21:34I knew something looked weird.
21:36It's wild being back.
21:41So it's lots of hugging, telling the same story, like, 50 times as far as what you've been up to over the break.
21:45It's awesome.
21:46It's awesome to be back.
21:47It doesn't feel like work.
21:48Florida.
21:49One, two, three, four, one.
21:51We are starting our last leg of this tour.
21:54We have 18 more shows left, which is very bittersweet.
21:58It's very sad.
21:59We're cramming.
22:00Yeah.
22:01Cramming for the test at Miami Stadium.
22:02A little nervous.
22:03But, you know, it's because we want it to be good.
22:04Oh, man.
22:05Well, we'll see.
22:06We'll see what I remember.
22:07I keep thinking today is a show day.
22:08Huh?
22:09I keep thinking today is a show day.
22:10It is a show day.
22:11It is a show day.
22:12It is a show day.
22:14In my brain, it has to be a show day.
22:16I have got to, like, plan.
22:18I need to do a full run through because my brain just, it's like I can't stop it.
22:23I can't stop it I can't stop it.
22:26I can't stop it.
22:27But tension is so good.
22:28I need to take out, guys, I can't stop it.
22:30And even though the women are doing the best at Miami Stadium.
22:34I need to do a full run through because my brain just it's like I can't remember a single part
22:40of the show we should all treat tonight like a show day show day um fitting time
22:46oh when are you bringing out the rep that's what I was about to say are we actually going to get
22:55I know I'm like I got really excited all of a sudden I gotta see if this can even happen
22:59because they put my boob cups on my rib cage either way I want to see it
23:06it's not that beautiful the way it fits me now
23:11I don't know how you guys manage this
23:28oh wait how does it fit so well this is beautiful I'm really glad they're here to document this
23:38they documented the other the other way oh it's perfect nothing's gonna pop out and look it's
23:45like it's in this how is in the right spot because Diana's a genius you guys took the
23:50cups out what happened oh it's now my favorite I didn't see this coming I'm shocked this I don't
24:03know I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know how you did it I truly don't when I tell you
24:10guys that the bra was in a corset here like like a second row of others oh I'm so excited I'm so excited
24:20I've never had an alternate outfit for the reputation section not once
24:25people are going to lose their mind
24:28as we were getting ready to go back into the shows again Taylor was like mom I'm really worried
24:54I'm trying to go back in my mind and run through the show and I get to certain spots and it just stops
25:00and I said don't worry about it I said you're gonna get back on that stage and everything will come
25:08flooding back I guarantee it and I hoped that I was right but I didn't know performing that show
25:16is incredibly technical and hard this tour isn't kind of like oh we just fly by the seat of our
25:22pants around here no like we stage manage the shit out of this show
25:26we're dealing with lots of production elements lighting screen content pyro moving floors confetti
25:39costumes choreography there's so many moving parts and it has to be no mistakes perfect timing
25:48there's a lot going on that happens really fast a lot of fast cues from one end of the stage to the
25:58see piano lift up go it's nerve-racking point three UFO go go go go it takes a lot taking the right
26:15stuff out at the right times so we all have to communicate well we're always moving the wings can
26:23be challenging we have had incidences where they broke if there's high winds it gets really hard
26:29for them because it's super heavy Q4301 go she's singing and having to engage and having to figure out
26:44what's coming next she has some flexibility in where she might go but there are sometimes when it's very
26:53very exact and if she's not standing in the right place it's actually dangerous I don't want to fall
26:59in a hole and I don't want to have like pyro go off on my head I legitimately celebrate like every
27:04moment that something doesn't go wrong everybody is firing on all cylinders
27:11I work in the wardrobe department and I also am one of Taylor's dressers there's two of us
27:31three of us every alpha change is about a minute and 15 or less our fastest quick change though is 39
27:41seconds with her in the room those quick changes are like nothing you've ever seen before it is like
27:51watching a NASCAR race how many quick changes does she have 20 quick changes our crew helped us build for
28:00quick change booths from there we kind of travel through the underworld of the stage it's all very
28:06very fast we don't really have time for snags it's very choreographed every second counts every millisecond
28:16counts there were moments where I thought I don't know if these costume changes are gonna happen in
28:26time I'm only off the stage for a maximum of two minutes at a time those transitions it's like I'm
28:33going under the stage I'm getting on a weird like pulley system I'm getting pulled over here meanwhile
28:39I'm unzipping my thing I'm running upstairs I'm going into a different quick change room on a whole
28:44different floor I'm ripping this off I'm putting this on stomp your feet three times it's literally
28:50the most complicated system you have no idea the panic of worrying you're not going to be dressed in
28:58time for the song to start and it is that panic that drives me to never be late I remember one time I
29:10was running from the evermore era I trip over the hem of my dress bust my knee I skid the palm of my
29:21hand off hobble into the quick change room blood's coming down my hand I'm changing into the reputation
29:29body suit the skin that's flapping off I just pull it off more blood they don't have a band-aid back
29:35there wasn't late wasn't late for the intro of that song the fans noticed it a couple days later
29:46they're like oh her palms gone I was like I am not acknowledging this what nothing's wrong that's
29:54always been like that I made three mistakes and I'm so glad I made in a rehearsal you know what I mean
30:09yeah can I talk to the dancers real quick about how I'm supposed to fall off that thanks I've
30:14completely forgotten yeah can you hold bailing for me yeah she'll just remind me and I'll just do it
30:19right okay going up jazz hands look at that full moon so it's gorgeous
30:30hi three mistakes in three three and a half hours that's not too bad it's been way worse before it's
30:39way way better than how it would be good job my first mistake yeah tell me is it baby let the games
30:46begin let the games begin let the games begin are you ready for it that's it yeah I went I went too early
30:54that's okay okay I really tell what about your quiet trees yeah and for a fortnight there we
31:02were forever running to you sometimes okay and then do you need me no I really really really do
31:10for this next part because I still cannot remember what happens for my fall for midnight rain which hand
31:16I know that I go I hear sunshine I was midnight I think it's this one I reach out I can't remember
31:23yes that's right do you want to try that one tomorrow she was sunshine I was midnight yes I do
31:34want to try it yeah yeah just for good luck just so that I can confidently fall eight feet all right
31:40just sometimes I get like a cat stuck in a tree yeah but you haven't done it for two months yeah it's
31:47going to be great good morning South Florida and we have that full moon it is going to cause coastal
31:54flooding we're also under wind advisory we have winds expected to gust up to 35 miles per hour and
31:59around 7 p.m. Swifties heads up if you're headed to the concert hang on to your umbrella even the
32:03potential for downpours headed through the evening and tonight
32:06we haven't seen anything over 20 in the
32:3624 hours that's good to know because it has been higher outside the bowl the weather element
32:43of playing outdoor stadiums is at times delightful and exciting at times it is frustrating at times it
32:52is feels really really horrific looking at precipitation right now it looks like as you go on later in the
33:01date the chances for showers start to increase like that's how much crazy weather we've run into on
33:07this tour
33:07this is the rainiest rain show that ever rain showed ever ever so um weather components I don't enjoy
33:34extreme wind do not like it do not love it do not like to see the speakers doing this hate that don't
33:42want it when you hear the word lightning that's when we start having to really worry about postponements
33:50we also have the lightning detection system and this you can come in here monitor it come and go as
33:58you please all right we're good thank you then you get situations where sometimes it's kind of wonderful
34:07just cinema just drama just it adds to it it adds to the show if there aren't other weather situations
34:17at play did they want to go straight up to stage for the fall yeah let's go erica's with us
34:25hi hi hi hey all you do is you twist and then they'll catch you okay easy and no matter which way
34:41when you go they're going to catch you so if by chance you happen to lift your left they're still
34:47digging at you okay okay okay I will definitely do that I always remembered Mike out yeah yeah okay

38:29um i came to your birthday last year and i actually tripped on the sidewalk
38:35i fell on my face like in front of paparazzi that were outside
38:42i was dealing with side effects and stuff
38:44but when you introduced me to everyone you said
38:48guys this is jesslyn we sing together
38:51i said that's a way to put it
38:58that's exactly what it is
39:01no one no one says that and i think that's it just says something about who you are
39:09and how humble you are and how you like to shed light on people
39:14and like make them feel bigger than they think they are
39:19and in that moment i needed that
39:21it's never a me it's always a we
39:25and i think that it just makes me feel like
39:29like we are the only we that will ever be on the biggest fucking tour in the world

42:41There we go.
43:11There we go.
43:13Oh, my God.
43:14Is it a new outfit?

44:09Baby, let love games begin.
44:11Let love games begin.
44:12Let love games begin.
44:13Are you ready for it?
44:15Baby, let love games begin.
44:17Let love games begin.
44:18Let love games begin.
44:19Are you ready for it?
44:39I'm very well aware of mysterious forces at play
44:48that I will never have any control of.
44:55Oh, my goodness.
45:06So all I can ever do is say to myself,
45:08I'm going to use every tool in my tool kit.
45:11I'm going to paint with every single brush I've got.
45:14I'm going to be as detail-oriented as possible.
45:17I'm going to try as hard as I possibly can
45:19to give these people everything that they want.
45:28But sometimes there's something that happens that's amazing
45:33that's not something you can plan for
45:36and not something that you can manufacture.
45:47You know, it's like...
45:51It's just, there's still got to be some, like,
45:56magical, beautiful mystery to life.
45:58I don't know what you can do.
46:04Oh, my God.
46:04Oh, my God.
46:06Oh, my God.
46:09Oh, my God.
46:11Oh, my God.
