43:43but for those of you who don't know it
43:46here's the short version
43:48my parents were both junior hockey coaches
43:52and
43:54they were hit by a drunk driver
43:56when i was 12 years old
43:57mercifully for them
44:00they died instantly
44:01mercifully for me
44:03the saint thomas scholarships existed
44:06i didn't have
44:10anybody else to help me
44:11had a lot of memories
44:14a love of hockey
44:15and
44:16a huge hole in my heart
44:18saint thomas filled it with hope
44:21the hope
44:23of a new family
44:24things
44:26things weren't always easy
44:27you know
44:28they never are
44:28for anybody
44:29but
44:30in hockey
44:32i found what i was missing
44:33first at my high school
44:36then later at college
44:37and now here
44:38with the admirals
44:39and i never looked back
44:41because i
44:42i never had to
44:43the family i craved
44:48the family that i needed
44:49that
44:49that i still need today
44:51hockey gave it to me
44:54and saint thomas gave me hockey
44:57so from the bottom of my heart
