00:00I want to make it clear that any breaches of our racial vilification or hate speech laws apply to everyone.
00:09Police will throw the book at any examples of Islamophobia in our community.
00:13And can I just say, from a moral perspective, it is disgusting to think that anyone could blame a young person,
00:20a young member of our community, a young Islamic girl, for the actions of two people in Bondi Junction a couple of weeks ago.
00:27That is appalling. It would be like blaming Ahmed El Ahmed for the actions of those terrible terrorists on the 14th of December,
00:35when we all know he's an absolute hero.
00:38So I just want to make it clear that racism will not be tolerated.
00:42It's not vigilantism. It's not retribution. It's hateful racism in our community.
00:48We are on high alert. The police are absolutely vigilant for any examples of hate speech in our community.
00:54It can never be tolerated. And any of the laws that we have passed over the last two years or even into the future
01:01apply to every member of our community, every Australian that lives here.
01:04We cannot allow it to happen and we will not tolerate it.
