00:00Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has brushed a side talk about the revival of Muafakat

00:04National, the electoral pact forged between PAS and UMNO in 2019.

00:10Anwar said discussions revolving around MN's revival have yet to reach a serious level,

00:15adding that what is important is that the unity government remains unshakable.

00:19Last week, PAS election director Sanusi Noor said MN should be revitalized as a platform

00:25for unity ahead of the next general election, saying ties between PAS and UMNO were vital

00:30for political stability, especially at the grassroots level.

00:34Sanusi's call echoed other PAS leaders who had repeatedly brought up the idea of reviving

00:38the alliance.

00:40It also came in the wake of the perilous political crisis, which strained relations between PAS

00:44and its ally Bursatu.

00:46Anwar also refused to be drawn into PN's crisis, in which Muhyiddin stepped down and other Bursatu

00:52leaders resigned, saying it was PAS and Bursatu's problem, not the unity government's.
