00:00I want to make sure I ask you about the Rams and the Cardinals, though,

00:03because this Rams team, and it's almost like it was a mini-gamble,

00:07I think, a little bit for McVay that paid off.

00:09He said, we're playing guys, we're playing guys the whole way

00:11against Arizona, but if Seattle lost, that would have looked silly.

00:14They'd have been locked into the sixth seed, but instead,

00:17they now have incentive to get up to the five, play the winner,

00:21or whoever, I shouldn't say winner, whoever comes out of the NFC South,

00:26and they're a 14-point favorite here against the Arizona Cardinals.

00:32I will say the number looks insane.

00:35Arizona usually can move the football, stay inside 14,

00:39but if the Rams, here's the thing, if the Rams lose this game,

00:44what even do you make?

00:46Again, they're a 14-point favorite for a reason.

00:49Upsets happen.

00:51This would be one of the more astonishing of the year.

00:53It would be, but again, we talk about, look, I understand about resting starters, right?

01:00I get it.

01:00When you have an aging football team, or especially an older quarterback,

01:03I understand that you don't want to risk injury.

01:07On the same level, you want to be playing your best football

01:11at the end of the season, peeking into the playoffs,

01:15as opposed to a team like Tampa Bay, searching for answers

01:18to try and grind out a win.

01:21And when we look at this team, as good as it looked,

01:24in the middle half of the year, when they were beating up

01:27on a Lamar Jackson, you know, list team in the Ravens,

01:31and the Saints that didn't have their identity,

01:34and then San Francisco with Mac Jones,

01:37and it all looked good, like Kumbaya, Matt Stafford,

01:40and McVay are coming back for the second ring.

01:44They have now lost three of the last five.

01:47So they're not playing well.

01:48Their victories are against the Lions, who now we know how good

01:52the Lions are defensively, right?

01:54And they still only won that game 41-34,

01:57and they beat up on the gutless Cardinals 45-17,

02:00who, by the way, I think are dead and buried.

02:02I mean, this team has checked out.

02:04They have multiple question marks as well.

02:06Yeah, they can move it if you give Jacoby Brissett

02:09and that offense 15 seconds to throw the football.

02:12They don't have a hint of a rushing attack.

02:14But if I'm McVay, I want to make sure I get back on track.

02:19If we have a 17-point lead in the first half,

02:22hey, rest of starters.

02:24If this is a 10-3 game at halftime,

02:27you've got to be saying to yourself,

02:28I don't care that I'm going to, you know,

02:30I'm the fifth seed and I'm playing the NFC South,

02:33whether it be Tampa or Carolina.

02:35I need to find my identity back.

02:37Otherwise, what are we doing?
