As the race for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections heats up, Congress MP Manickam Tagore has openly demanded a power-sharing arrangement within the DMK-led alliance. Speaking to India Today, Tagore highlighted the sentiment of the party cadre, stating, 'And this time, there is a huge demand from the ground, from the Congress workers, that we should be having some power-sharing in the state government.' The report by Nagarjun Dwarkanath and Pramod Madhav explores the growing friction within the INDIA bloc, with internal dissent and the emergence of actor Vijay's TVK adding to the complexity.
