Our farms are the heart of our nation's tables, but are they getting the support they deserve? As we embrace the new year, let's consider the journey of the food that nourishes us – from the dedicated farmers of Wales and the UK to our plates.

This abundance is not a given. It's the result of relentless hard work and commitment. Yet, the very individuals who feed us are often burdened by excessive red tape and policies that overlook the realities of rural life.

Decisions made without understanding the challenges faced by farming communities can have a significant impact. Issues like bovine TB and economic pressures threaten the sustainability of family farms. We must ensure that our farmers receive the backing they need to thrive.

It's time to champion our agricultural sector and protect the vital rural businesses that have served us for generations. Our commitment is to fight for the future of farming and those who dedicate their lives to it.
