00:00Feel about that comment there from Mike Vrabel.
00:01No consolation prizes there, man.
00:03I hope that they truly feel that way.
00:06I think Vrabel does.
00:07I don't have any doubts about him.
00:09I mean, you know, given how he approached things when he played here
00:13and what that was all about.
00:15And I would say that overall, you know, I believe him.
00:18I think that the team has taken on that personality,
00:20and I hope that that's how they're approaching it.
00:23That's how they should approach it.
00:25The thing that bugs me the most, and we touched on this the other day,
00:29when you get to these sorts of games in this kind of season,
00:33and when I say this kind of season,
00:35they've obviously had a tremendous regular season.
00:39Okay, 14-3.
00:41Nobody predicted that.
00:43Nobody.
00:44And with a great understanding of why no one predicted that,
00:48because the odds of it were astronomical.
00:50So here they are.
00:52Does that mean now it's okay to go out and lose and suck, and that's okay?
00:56Like, to me, you've got the chance now.
00:58You got a chance earlier than you expected, so make something of it.
01:03Now, does that mean it's Super Bowl or bust?
01:06No.
01:07But you have a beatable team in your building Sunday night,
01:11West Coast, warm weather, coming here,
01:14all those things added together.
01:16Win the game.
01:18Win the game, and then see what the next one is.
01:21I think it's really easy, and in some respects, I can see why you would do it,
01:26or they would do it, is to say that at this point they're playing with house money.
01:30Yeah, they've defied expectations internally, too.
01:33And not just that.
01:34I think they accomplished what they set out to accomplish,
01:36which is change the culture of the team, the nature of the team,
01:41establish May as the quarterback, reestablish Rabel as a coach of the future,
01:45and, like, they've done all that.
01:47So, no matter what happens going forward,
01:50I think it's easy for them to sit there and say the rest is house money.
01:52But, you know, I don't live in that world.
01:55I would hope they're not living in that world,
01:57that now they have a real chance.
01:58And even if things continue to progress, given the way circumstances are
02:03and the way the league works, that you may not be in as good a position for years.
02:07You could be a better team next year and the year after and not have a number two seed.
02:11I guess that's just the way it works.
02:12Strength of schedule, injuries, et cetera.
02:15Circumstance, who knows?
02:16Contracts, all those things.
02:18So, this could be their best chance.
02:20Yeah, now's the time to think big and get delusional.
02:22Is he supposed to stand up there and say, well, you know,
02:24it is only the quarterback's second year and we've defied our own expectations
02:28and we're going to be realistic about it.
02:30No.
02:30You say, there's no consolation prize.
02:32We want to win the whole thing.
02:33So, what are the stakes?
02:35What are the stakes?
02:36I mean, it's a simple question for every team that's win and go home,
02:40but there's different stakes.
02:42Like, I mean, in Buffalo, you're talking about if they don't push through this year
02:46with Mahomes out and Burrow out, do they make changes in the organization,
02:50with the coaching staff?
02:51I mean, that's sort of they're at a crossroads there.
02:53Big stakes, I think, for Sean McDermott and the Bills.
02:56Those are different stakes than yours.
