00:01:11game day we got we got a college football playoff to break down from last night we got a college
00:01:14football playoff game today to get into oregon indiana we got chris felica the bear stopping by
00:01:21here in a little bit we'll go into the crawler corner we'll break down a couple of plays from
00:01:25last night's game as well as a couple of plays from the last time that indiana and oregon
00:01:31squared up okay so we'll give you some insight and maybe what to look for tonight uh boys how we
00:01:37feeling feels great depth and have we first show with everybody back uh yeah all these got weird
00:01:42yeah yeah the gang's back let's go you guys can you put this on record are you cheering for oregon

00:01:55no oregon allegiance whatsoever in fact the one time i went to aughtson stadium shout out fun fact
00:02:01here so it's my little brother he's playing at nickel state in louisiana and thibodeau so you know
00:02:06the cupcake game to open the season in aughtson uh my little brother became the first ever victim
00:02:11of a targeting flag whoa yeah he rolled out and went to slide right when the rule got put in and
00:02:17the cornerback cheap shot it and knocked him out shout out bo love you man that's a very cool fun fact
00:02:23yeah and i was furious i've been telling everyone i almost got in a fight with the stands with this
00:02:28oregon fan the cops are coming down i had to end up running away to a different part of the stadium
00:02:32to watch the game but yeah so screw the ducks yeah who who who who's here where were you mikey i
00:02:41feel what was that ah i did the who who thing oh yeah sorry yeah okay and and we should address this
00:02:48as well because i was a little confused and it seems like it's new which i found to be interesting
00:02:52what is the story of the bison where did this come from so the bison mascot was back was a you know
00:02:59the mascot for indiana university back in like the 70s 80s i think and then they brought it back this
00:03:04year it went away for like 30 years brought it back this year and this guy uh shout out db hoosier
00:03:10he made starts making these uh bison helmets and sells them to people and fans wear them there's a
00:03:17bunch wearing them at the rose bowl and um i was like yeah dude i gotta get my hands on one of those
00:03:22yeah they look great yeah you got kind of like fred flintstone vibes a little bit i wouldn't hate
00:03:26coming back as like a bison in another life dude bison grazing like up in north dakota crushing
00:03:32chronologically dependent though right like because those were i've never heard those words
00:03:38together chronologically dependent well i'm just saying if you're bison a few hundred years ago when
00:03:43the native americans you were wiped out well i was gonna say a few years ago might not be bad
00:03:47because the americans are traveling with you they're gonna kill some of you but it's kind of
00:03:51sustainable right but yeah if you're talking like 1860s midwest bison all these white chicago
00:03:58people are just murdering you in the fields and leaving you present day bison yeah present day
00:04:03bison might be the best actually you're probably most protected i think present day bison are protected
00:04:08yeah you're right it's like and like playing red dead redemption 2 like 500 times like you gotta you
00:04:13gotta respect the bison you know you only need to take what you need as if the internet or nerds
00:04:18weren't obsessed with megan enough already dropping play red never dip to two 500 times
00:04:22excellent game by the way speaking of excellent game let's get into last night
00:04:27we are on one today what a game miami old miss uh one team in the hurricanes a team that has
00:04:39recently looked like it's really found itself rounding into form looking like a true national
00:04:43title contender and a team that has all the talent whereas old miss um a team that we
00:04:48underrated a bit but a team of like seemingly destiny and it's kind of how the game played out
00:04:54yeah because if you look at the box score miami dominated yeah like it's insane the drives they
00:04:59went on time obsession was 42 to 18 third downs weren't close but because of a couple of mistakes
00:05:06as well as old miss just doing everything they can this season and maximize what they have they made
00:05:10it very close but in the end carson beck comes up with the drive the four million dollar drive
00:05:17and the miami hurricanes are going back to the national championship dude it was so many mistakes
00:05:24miami made so many mistakes they dropped like four interceptions yeah every time you think they were
00:05:29they had momentum on a drive penalty penalty penalty and then they're behind the chains they got a pass
00:05:35people aren't catching balls it's just it would look like a mess and then and then old miss just
00:05:40somehow just staying in the game even though they're getting dominated all game they're passing the ball
00:05:45well they're getting their they're they're converting in the red zone well cardinero cardinero's what
00:05:50like unbelievable the main reason why yes even though he had a missed kick but i was just impressed by
00:05:56how miami just kept chugging even though they were just not not uh here we go now so i would what's the
00:06:04word here you got it not um yes not consistently sustaining drives yeah well they well they well
00:06:11i feel like they kind of were but they weren't they had a lot of long drives but maybe not as much
00:06:17payoff as they should no yeah yeah over the entirety of the game yeah true and uh obviously hindsight's
00:06:222020 but as katik said i would have loved to see what the result of the game would have been
00:06:27if those four dropped interceptions would have been caught oh yeah i mean i think miami rolls right
00:06:33because already they had such dominant times it's such dominant game flow control it at that point
00:06:39i don't even think it's it's it's close but that was the mincy magic i think what i learned here is
00:06:44we need uh we need old miss to play every single college football playoff game yeah they're the only
00:06:49people that deliver that's a great play two games that have been awesome yeah fun to watch like that
00:06:54one last night was so enjoyable to watch down to the wire and somehow like we've talked about they
00:07:00just kept sticking in it and sticking in it despite all those mistakes and man it was just a fun
00:07:06football game to watch and we haven't had like many of them in now the college football playoff so
00:07:12whatever the recipe is with old miss we need more of that yeah one one i i really felt like last night
00:07:18and whenever you have a massive football game like this between two wagons i i i find it impossible
00:07:24to separate kind of boxing analogies and boxing feels and miami just came out and it felt like
00:07:31their land and just body blows right just deadly efficient combinations but then old miss catches
00:07:36him with one with the kawan lacy haymaker yeah then miami hey like like it's it's a weird thing
00:07:42where i came away way more impressed with miami than i think a lot did like you mentioned a lot of
00:07:48mistakes brandon did as well last night and roughness i felt like this is a miami team that is
00:07:54a very worthy foe of either indiana or oregon that i would score almost evenly on the field and it's
00:08:01like why because they know themselves this is not the team that lost two games earlier in the year
00:08:07they didn't know their identity yeah remember they're trying to throw it all over the even the
00:08:11team that beat notre dame they wanted to throw they want to take deep shots when miami learned
00:08:15after their losses oh wait who are we we are a smash mouth old school road grader run ball running
00:08:23team that's when they finally started to realize their full potential but even last night they would
00:08:29have they would have success running the ball and then they would just stop doing it and then they
00:08:34would get behind the chains and have to force throws and like but when they would but they still
00:08:39they still there was 51 running plays to like well i understand why why even why even stop running the
00:08:46ball when you're getting four or five yards a clip here like it's like it doesn't make any sense to
00:08:51me and then you just put carson in a tough spot you put the offensive line who wasn't protecting all
00:08:56that well in a tough spot that left tackle was having a rough night yeah and it was just like why
00:09:01go away from your identity of running the rock when you don't have to yeah ironic that old miss
00:09:07ends up with four sacks in the night miami won yeah yeah miami wins the game and kind of dominates
00:09:11so i guess where i was going with this is two points first i do find myself very impressed with
00:09:19old miss to be in a position to win this game yes because i tweeted at halftime like and even like
00:09:25this game's over yeah like the body blows that's how the running game works and body blows work because
00:09:29like by the end the other team's supposed to get tired and if you look at i think it's davion brown 51
00:09:33last night he was exhausted for the old miss run like he was done but they still found a way to
00:09:40tough it out and almost win this thing like that is some real resilience out of the rebels but i come
00:09:46away even more impressed with miami again they looked like before the defensive injuries started
00:09:52to pile up when the defense was dialed o-line running game kicking ass i thought they looked every bit
00:09:57of the national contender uh of that of an indiana or of an oregon and the reason why they can hang
00:10:04with the two teams that we just mentioned it's built through the line yeah they're dominant on the
00:10:08lines like like those three imagine that it all starts up front indiana oregon miami all uh the best
00:10:15lines of scrimmages in the country this year except for i was a line y'all were badass too yeah
00:10:19uh so quick question so obviously we're you know almost to the natty here but before when you were
00:10:25looking at the college football bracket who did you guys think was going to have the easiest route
00:10:31to the playoffs because i thought it was miami though they had to play ohio state but did you
00:10:36guys expect for them to be in this spot or did you expect someone else to have an easier path
00:10:40i thought ohio state had the easiest path yeah but obviously they lost to miami so i think
00:10:46they had i mean i think that side of the bracket was definitely much harder than the right side of the
00:10:51bracket i mean texas tech was very good and i love texas tech all year long but jmu into texas tech
00:10:56feels relatively friendly compared to the others yeah i think that's the one team there that kind
00:11:01of sticks out as texas tech and we just didn't know how for real they were yeah i guess and like
00:11:06the defense was but the offense was found to be a bit lacking and the problem with uh or the problem
00:11:11for ohio state was again i was still under the impression during these playoffs that this miami team
00:11:18was still the same team that lost the two games of middle season and stylistically they could not
00:11:22be indifferent and let's talk about the quarterback because that's crucial in all this and carson beck
00:11:28already going into last night i've been very impressed with his maturity and his efficiency
00:11:34throughout these playoffs right um he hadn't really put the balls in harm's way he's done a good job of
00:11:39operating the offense uh he had recognized the setting and that he needed to get his body more
00:11:45involved we've seen him run a lot these playoffs but you can hear me say all this and it's kind of
00:11:50boring yeah he hadn't he hadn't had to have the moment he hadn't had to have to put the team on his
00:11:55back and here comes that old miss magic trinidad chambliss and carson has to go the entirety of the
00:12:00field to become a legend and when you pair those two elements the fact that he has been this mature
00:12:08game manager putting his body in line knowing the setting but then when he had to do it
00:12:14they come up with the drive he had the big third and ten he has a touchdown they come up with the
00:12:19drive to win the game that's a four million dollar drive by carson beck right like that justifies
00:12:26all of the investment that you made in him in the offseason that's sick they had so many plays that
00:12:31were just like big you know you that one we're showing on the screen right here they had a lot of
00:12:36plays that just busted yeah you know and this one we're here that we're showing is that reminds me a
00:12:42little Vince young little Vince young moment it did it has that it has that same like visual
00:12:47cinematically when the camera angle from the end zone when he runs in also if you replay that
00:12:52look at how tired uh 51 oh yeah i mean he's 6'8 330 but but he's and it's i i i think it was less
00:13:01out of i don't think he's being lazy there i think he's just that's the body that's the body
00:13:06100 that's 60 minutes of just getting hit and hit he's just dead his body just has nothing left
00:13:14whatsoever and speaking of hits there were some big blow-ups last night oh yeah i love watching
00:13:20grown men just annihilate each other and whenever i see one of those just flying tackles that just put
00:13:26somebody on their ass i'm obsessed we got to give a lot of love to Ole Miss though because with
00:13:30everything that happened yeah it's just it they were the cinderella story that honestly got put
00:13:36to a halt but they had a great season man yeah a great great season with everything that happens
00:13:42shout out to Ole Miss shout out to mincy in the stands i will say this yeah and the mincy danny boy
00:13:47cane saga was electric um tate doing an incredible job covering it all i i would say this though for Ole
00:13:54miss and this is where the pain comes in pete golding defensive quarter defensive coach and
00:14:00now you enter the offseason where the defense was in the position to make all of your dreams come true
00:14:05couldn't come through that's the the run is over the fairy tale is over reality sets in now yeah and

00:15:03and miami hurricane super fan the bear chris valinka bear what's going on man how we feeling
00:15:10you went to the game last night miami wins they're going to the natty what's going on in your heart right
00:15:16now i'm too old for this but i can't take it i was literally quivering in the in the second half
00:15:23last night i was so sick and nervous now it could have been the two celsius's that i drank about a
00:15:30couple hours beforehand that could have contributed to it but it was it was just a an unbelievable night
00:15:36and miami did everything that they could to to help all miss along and give them an opportunity to win
00:15:42the game but uh in the end they made the place but it was a an unbelievable an unbelievable game and i'm
00:15:50just looking forward to the to the hypothetical national championship game between notre dame and
00:15:54ohio state because i mean ohio state i mean if they play 10 times we know what happened so i can't
00:16:01wait to watch that one of miami in 10 days yeah i mean it's so that that was kind of i had a big
00:16:07disconnect with my co-host last night on roughness where and and and i know miami made a lot of uh
00:16:14mistakes last night you even kind of referenced them there right there there's there's like passing
00:16:18the ball right before half on first down which kind of ended up through extension giving old miss
00:16:22three there's all the drop picks but i found myself in the middle of that game saying okay i finally see
00:16:30it now like miami is not the team that lost those two games they didn't know who they were they didn't
00:16:36know yet they know we're just a smash mouth road greater run the ball team and now that they figured
00:16:42it out i found myself saying oh wait this team can beat oregon this team can beat indiana like i score
00:16:49them pretty evenly with those other two sides uh how do you feel about miami heading into uh whatever the
00:16:55winner tonight's game will be i i would as long as i mean we're gonna need an injury report because
00:17:00they had some guys yeah yeah that's true because when the defense started to pile up that kind of
00:17:05changed that'll that'll that'll factor in but totally like why can't we were talking earlier in the year
00:17:11about who's the best team in the country miami or ohio state and i think what we've seen in the
00:17:15in the winning streak since that loss to smu is miami get back to their identity i mean they controlled
00:17:21the ball for 45 minutes last night and just ran the ball at will and you mentioned it
00:17:25like there were quite a few people who really who were like why why don't we run trick plays just
00:17:30continue to run the ball downfield you're down you're dominating up front but to have 400 plus
00:17:37yards total offense have 45 minute time of possessions like 10 penalties four drop picks they
00:17:45had an interception on a tip ball in the right in the red zone old miss doinks a field goal in miami
00:17:50misses the field like everything that went on it was almost like the smu game all over again with
00:17:57how much they dominated statistically and then they ultimately wound up losing in overtime but last
00:18:03night i mean a lot of people questioned carson beck and people are outranked the quarterbacks and
00:18:09carson beck was the lowest ranked quarterback of any of the quarterbacks left in the playoff and he made
00:18:14some unbelievable plays in the second half and answered uh a lot of people so to see and as a
00:18:21a fan i mean as a player i mean you could probably answer better than me i to win a game like that when
00:18:29you know you didn't necessarily play your best you didn't you weren't buttoned up you did dumb stuff
00:18:35like you hadn't done in the first couple of games in the playoffs so far like you have to think next game
00:18:41you're gonna play better than that those things aren't going to happen again happen again the
00:18:46coaches can can can focus on things like that and and have like a little bit of motivation and a
00:18:52little bit of learning experience as nick saban would like to put it like you would think miami's
00:18:57gonna peak and play another great game in 10 days whether i mean whether they're gonna be a small
00:19:01underdog against oregon or a little bit of a bigger underdog against indiana but there's no reason
00:19:06miami can't beat either of those games yeah so you saw uh when he got the ball with about three
00:19:11four minutes left i want i want you to be honest with the bear were you kind of nervous or did you
00:19:17have confidence in carson beck did you think he was going to go down and have that drive of a
00:19:21lifetime how are you feeling when he got the ball with three minutes i was nervous he he looked a
00:19:27little hapless at the time like it seemed like he had hit a valley yeah in terms of the game flow at
00:19:31that time it'd be because it was it was the classic yeah old miss has answered every call
00:19:37every every every every time they needed to drive they needed to score they they got the drive and
00:19:41it's like okay we'll we'll see what happens now you the the only saving grace was they did only need
00:19:47the field goal so i mean at least they could have gotten field goal range maybe got but yeah i i would
00:19:52be lying if i if i said i wasn't nervous because everything that happened in the game that thus far like
00:19:58it seemed like after the tony touchdown okay now it's and then almost goes down and scores so
00:20:03i was nervous um it it felt like the season was going to come to an end but i'll tell you what
00:20:10uh marion had an unbelievable night yeah tony had an unbelievable night and beck with the
00:20:16with the scramble was fantastic the one of the one of the biggest plays of the game that might not
00:20:21get mentioned now was that third and seven to tony where he stayed on his feet yeah and they wound up
00:20:28scoring the touchdown as opposed to the post the field goal or else uh they absolutely would have
00:20:32needed a touchdown on that final drive just to get the game overtime he does something that i uh you
00:20:37very rarely see where he has a guy hanging on him and he and he makes a cut with the guy hanging on him
00:20:43like he's got one leg wrapped up and he still plants and cuts and jukes the other defender before
00:20:48taking off and how about and how about the the one-handed catch out of bounds that was nasty
00:20:54it was it was like he didn't get the toe tapped yeah he he is a special special kid and uh
00:21:03hopefully we got what we got at least two more years of college football to watch him yeah that's
00:21:08true it's great for all of us yeah all right bear obviously you know this is the money corner so we
00:21:13got to talk a little bit about betting let's do it i didn't know you know i didn't know where you
00:21:16were at before this game if you had placed any bets so were you looking at any value with ole miss or
00:21:24did you play miami with your heart and with your you know your your skill set i played under 52 and a
00:21:31half which i was happy to lose with miami um i played a prop of over 144 and a half rushing yards
00:21:40for miami and laddered that up all the way to like 175 and up let's go that worked out well and
00:21:47then i played ole miss in game plus four and a half that that worked out for me bear nice hit i mean
00:21:56seeing the ball that's that's what i was hoping for i was hoping not only did you uh get the the win
00:22:03last night with your team but also were able to uh capitalize monetarily off of them as well
00:22:08a little happiness hedge how about this bear because i do want to get the other game uh with
00:22:13you but before we do it be a fletcher uh uh anybody else that you want to celebrate on this uh on this
00:22:22on this miami team that you don't feel like we've talked about yet i mean maui oga was fantastic last
00:22:27night he was just dominating up front complete road grader um
00:22:32it it the the who else who else oh cj daniels again the way he blocks at the wide receiver
00:22:43uh is fantastic but i mean the story of the game the story of the night was carson beck
00:22:49a guy that people kind of wrote off you think back to december and he wants to go to the nfl he's done
00:22:56with college football and then and then he wasn't give dennis smith and uh the miami mario cristobal
00:23:02the miami coaching staff and uh personnel department call the credit in the world for getting him
00:23:07up to miami but yeah maui oga was was fantastic last night and and just the rest of tony was great
00:23:16keelan marion was fantastic everyone did uh did did their job on offense to it was a weird game
00:23:24in a sense that miami knew they needed to shorten ole miss's drives but yet it was like the the wide
00:23:31receivers had great games and beck threw the ball it was just a weird box score to uh to look at it
00:23:38the big numbers that miami had offensively the big number of big plays that they had yet they just
00:23:43stayed on the field time and time again um real quick four million dollar drive out of carson beck
00:23:49i mean that's what it felt like right like that drive alone justifies everything and he and he if
00:23:54if they win well yeah they're gonna if they win one more game he is gonna go down as an all-time
00:24:01uh miami legend that's crazy go to go to miami to get them the sixth national championship playing for
00:24:07a national championship on their home stadium and again good for him to to excited i know there are a
00:24:13lot of georgia people out there uh that i'm friends with that i i got one text from from someone
00:24:19a georgia buddy of mine a friend of mine uh probably more of a bitter fan than anything else and he was
00:24:25like i i don't know if carson's built for this and you're talking about that final drive going into it
00:24:30and here i am at like the depths of my misery and concern like oh crap they're gonna lose this game
00:24:35and here's my buddy yeah i don't think carson's built for this and then uh shut shut a lot of people
00:24:40up man got him yeah bear uh moving into the game tonight obviously two great defenses oregon indiana
00:24:46ran by two great coaches um what are your keys to victory uh to make it to the national championship
00:24:52and what's your best plays of the night i guess this game there was a play i i don't want to mention
00:24:58the uh well no you're you're a draft game show you're good i i can i can mention draft games by
00:25:03by by name here i always i'll do so many damn different shows and i'm like okay who's who's
00:25:08fan duel who's draft games but draft games had a prop up there uh will either team score 30 points
00:25:15in the game and uh the the no was was minus 120 i thought the no was a a good play there because i
00:25:21think it's a defensive type game yeah it's going to be interesting i saw whittington pop up on the
00:25:26injury report yesterday it's questionable which probably means he came down with some type of illness
00:25:31unless he got hurt at practice like davison did but oregon's running backs the lack of depth there i
00:25:37think is a massive key because they had success with the running backs yeah early in that game
00:25:43against indiana at austin it was really dante moore and the sack yardage that really came back
00:25:49and bit them in the you know what yeah but if they can help keep indiana off the field uh the injury
00:25:55not only to to daily but the injury to wyatt who had a massive game in that first meeting as well
00:26:01i think oregon's got a great a great shot tonight to uh to pull the upside because i would almost
00:26:07rather be the team that loses the first meeting than the team that wins i think you can find things
00:26:13to improve on things to do differently to give yourself a little bit of an edge and my former
00:26:18colleague at espn bill connelly had a great note in one of his in one of his previous i don't know if
00:26:24you read the the latest story or not no but in the in the pre in the rematches this year there was
00:26:31an average difference of like 15.2 points per game the swing in points from one game to the next
00:26:37and i think the the loser of the first meeting won like nine or ten of the 12 rematches so there's a
00:26:44lot of evidence this year to point to the team that lost having a bit more success in the uh in the
00:26:50second meeting so yeah it's like an eight point adjustment on the line too because at oregon who
00:26:55was a seven and a half point favorite so the first meeting now they're a four point underdog so it's
00:26:59about what over the power ratings that off early on should there be that much of a of a uh of an
00:27:06adjustment i don't know bear you are stressing mikey out here too he's i i could feel him i could feel
00:27:13him cratering and starting to sweat as your answer went on what's hi look mikey i'll make you feel
00:27:18better okay yes oregon's gotten better but indiana's gotten better too yeah okay and i see okay now if
00:27:25we had to get the keys to me one of them has to be oregon's lack of rush and indiana's incredible
00:27:32passes now oregon they look great against texas tech but for whatever reason hasn't really been
00:27:36their identity all season long uh i was pretty shocked to read this dante morris act 14 times on
00:27:41the year six of them came in that indiana game yeah like if indiana gets to dante more like like
00:27:47oregon has to fix that or they don't stand a chance correct and that's something which has
00:27:51changed in the oregon offense as the year has gone on uh jeff schwartz my co-host co-host co-host
00:27:59co-host it's very early guys okay and he stayed up late he stayed up late last night part and he woke
00:28:04up with us 643 mountain time right now yeah but jeff pointed out like they have not really been an
00:28:12explosive offense as the year has gone on uh maybe that's due to injury cory moore being out
00:28:17gary bryant jr being out uh but they need to get back to doing that they need to match explosive with
00:28:24explosive with those great indiana wide receivers but you got to beat indiana you got you have to be
00:28:30better than indiana that day to win because i talked like the game last night with miami with all the
00:28:35penalties and stuff indiana does all of the little things right yep best turnover margin in the country
00:28:42only turned it over eight times uh best uh third down uh offense in the country second best or third
00:28:49best third down defense the second fewest penalty yards per game they are like the coach's dream if
00:28:55there was like a four factors of football like like there was like the four factors in basketball
00:28:59like indiana would be like off the charts but by doing all the little things right so you have to
00:29:04absolutely create your own luck and create your own point because they certainly aren't going to
00:29:09help you they're even the number one red zone uh defense in the country you only score touchdowns
00:29:1425 percent of the time sorry dan ridiculous so looking forward to the uh the national championship

00:30:12mendoza being a local kid and indiana losing his program and power for history and when
00:30:17signetti took over to playing to being favored to win the national championship indiana fans will be
00:30:23there yeah i don't think it'll be a big factor if indiana's there but if it's oregon it will feel like
00:30:30one of those old orange bowls where you had the big the big eight team in the orange bowl and it
00:30:35was like that little corner uh on the visitor's sideline was nebraska or oklahoma or colorado

00:32:59nfl slate rams at panthers spread whoa i'm gonna go ahead and take matt stafford three plus touchdowns
00:33:09this spread is high however if you look back at this uh this matchup uh six seven weeks ago
00:33:15i thought it was gone the rams played a terrible game matt stafford had two interceptions he had a
00:33:22fumble on the goal line that cost them the game and the defense basically took the night off gave
00:33:27up what like 358 yards yeah uh look i don't i'm a betting girl i don't think that's gonna happen
00:33:33again matt stafford's gonna go out there and be himself i like the three plus touchdowns at plus

00:35:49so uh i love that uh leg of that parlay second is as i said uh mr ramond ray stevenson he's averaging
00:35:5786 or no i'm sorry 96 scrimmage yards per outing in the final five games of the season he's a more
00:36:03reliable option out of the backfield uh he's getting more catches uh than henderson just don't

00:37:44start john harbaugh gets fired all of a sudden mcdaniel fired in miami are those connected
00:37:51i think it would be a little bit weird if they're not yeah you know i mean the press conference
00:37:57that mcdaniel had monday or tuesday where he said i'm coming back and i'm going to be involved in the
00:38:04gm search and then two days later he's gone and by the way there are a lot of reports out there that
00:38:12you know their top gm candidate has close ties to john harbaugh so you know keep your eyes on that
00:38:20that doesn't mean that harbaugh is necessarily going to the miami dolphins because it feels like
00:38:25he has a lot of options to choose from and i think it's very telling that he's waiting till next week
00:38:32to do any interviews i think he wants to see how this weekend shakes down i think he wants to listen
00:38:38if the bills lose to the jags or the packers lose to the bears there are some people that think both
00:38:44of those organizations could make a change so if you're john harbaugh maybe wait can you imagine if
00:38:52you get to go to buffalo with josh allen or even green bay with jordan love so harbaugh is going to
00:38:58take his time it seems like everybody wants me i was on the radio in cleveland they want them
00:39:03the giants want them bad so he's gonna have his choices but certainly i think that's the guy the
00:39:09dolphins want we had the professional lip readers out last night with jackson dart did you see that
00:39:13clip yeah he said it looked like he said harbaugh or stefanski yeah i mean that's the thing right
00:39:19like those are easily the best two candidates out there right now like that's what everybody's
00:39:24but if you're john harbaugh i mean it's if it's between the packers and and the the giants i think
00:39:30that decision's it's already it's already made for you yeah well and let's get into the packers
00:39:34here ross because it's very interesting living in chicago now bears fans have a mental block against
00:39:40the cheeseheads like they're they're terrified of this weekend that they're going to ruin their
00:39:44season i think bears fans should be excited to ruin the packers like not they won the division
00:39:49they're they they come in uh a bit better than the packers do losing four in a row like and they
00:39:54have a chance to maybe get lafleur fired like we had diana russini and jay glazer and independently
00:39:59not led they both basically said they're like there's a good chance those jobs are on the line
00:40:04this weekend um what how how are you scoring this matchup in bears packers who do you think comes
00:40:10out on top well remember this by the way the packers have a new team president so anytime there's a
00:40:17change at the very top of the flow chart there is the chance that they might want to you know put
00:40:25their stamp on things because lafleur's had a bunch of success but hasn't gotten to the super bowl he
00:40:31had aaron rogers win two mvps couldn't get there a couple years ago jordan love was playing out of his
00:40:37mind in the playoffs and they couldn't get there so that's a fascinating dynamic for sure you know
00:40:44what's wild about this game is that the favorite flipped you know i have a betting podcast even money
00:40:52betting podcast you know megan can tell you this on tuesday you know the bears were favored by a
00:40:58point and a half yeah and then now more recently the packers are favored by a point and a half i think
00:41:04it's because you know the it's a short week for the bears and they got beat up by the lions a little
00:41:11bit on sunday they went all out to try to get the two seed they lose the game but they get the two seed
00:41:16anyway because the eagles didn't play their guys meanwhile the packers just totally rested their
00:41:21guys you would expect you know that packers defense the d line to come flying around all game
00:41:28on saturday night so i think it goes to the end look what they played two games this year the one
00:41:33game at the end caleb threw an interception packers won the one game at the end caleb threw a touchdown
00:41:38bears won i don't see any reason why it won't be that same type of game again ross obviously saw you
00:41:44saw you in philly you cover a lot of the eagles i'm from pittsburgh both pa teams eagles stealers
00:41:50what do you see in this weekend how are they going to win the games you know all that kind of
00:41:56good stuff well by the way katie so i'm in the booth sunday with ian eagle for westwood one radio
00:42:03for eagles niners i know it's on fox oh let's go and a lot of people be checking that on tv obviously
00:42:08then i hop in my truck drive all the way across the turnpike because monday night i'm on sideline
00:42:16with kevin harlan and kurt warner so i'll be in the berg ross on monday night but it should be a
00:42:25blast you know the eagles it's kind of a similar breakdown to what i just said about the packers
00:42:31and bears i mean if you watch that niner seahawks game last saturday night yeah i mean the niners got
00:42:37the crappy item i was so impressed by the seahawks that game shouldn't even been close meanwhile the
00:42:43eagles rested all their key guys so now those guys all come back and you guys know when you have
00:42:49a long season like that to get a week off it's not just the physical it's like the mental reset
00:42:55they are refreshed flying around i feel like the niners are just way too beat up that would be a
00:43:01super impressive win to me if the niners can get it done my guess is they run out of gas yeah in the
00:43:07second half steelers texans will be interesting yeah steelers have some dudes on the o-line i love
00:43:13like i love fatano at right tackle i love the center zach have you ever seen zach frazier's back
00:43:19he is the biggest it's bigger than this this whole screen it's crazy and those kids have played really
00:43:25really well yeah but these texans edge rushers will anderson is speed to power 50 times a game 50
00:43:33times a game he's gonna get that speed and come right down your face i can't wait i don't expect
00:43:39a lot of points in that one but it should be fun i'll lean texans but who knows man aaron rogers might
00:43:44have a little bit more magic there gotcha hey uh i want to ask you real quick just to settle the
00:43:50debate here in the office we were having about the eagles choosing to rest everyone and basically
00:43:54saying we're prioritizing that over the two seed because you've been a part of these seasons you
00:44:00know what that actual grind feels like on your body do you agree with the eagles decision to say
00:44:04you know what we don't care as much about a second home game as we do about being right for this first
00:44:10game i agree 100 i'll tell you why because they didn't control it you know like if the eagles were
00:44:17in the bears situation i would have been really curious to see what they would have done meaning if
00:44:23they knew with a win they could get the two seed i asked sirianni about that because i i was calling
00:44:29the game on tv for cbs on sunday and he said i don't know i don't have to deal in those hypotheticals
00:44:34he said maybe uh but you know they could have played their guys and still lost they could have
00:44:39played their guys and won but somebody got injured they could have played their guys and won nobody
00:44:44got injured but the bears win this makes sense to me i always tell people the same thing right
00:44:48yes i wish i had longer arms i wish i was quicker faster all those things but late in the year
00:44:55if you could give me one thing every season i played right i think three years in a row i started
00:45:01you know at the end of the year can i just feel a little bit better you know what i mean like my
00:45:05right knee or my elbow or my back when i had the herniated disc you know can i just feel like

00:48:17chargers is the most sought after coordinator yeah well and and and it's interesting ross because i feel
00:48:24like it's at a time where you you you look at the nfc seahawks one seed and what mike mcdonald's
00:48:29done with that defense is just unreal like you look at the texans certified dudes and the seahawks

00:48:41almost it's almost time and this is hard to do defensively but like the same way that we talk

00:51:04how about this which one seed has the better chance of making the super bowl because it's a
00:51:09year in which a lot of people are not choosing the one seeds to finish this fight yeah i think
00:51:15it's seattle i'm not a big believer in denver i already told you guys i think the bills sorry
00:51:20dana but i think the bills jags winner is going to the super bowl i think the jags are the best team
00:51:27probably in the afc right now i think the bills have the best player uh denver give them a lot of
00:51:33credit i mean to become the number one seed is impressive i think it'll be very difficult to go
00:51:38to denver and win but i don't know i think there's probably at least four teams i think are better
00:51:45than the denver broncos i mean i'll take the patriots the jags the bills and the texans over
00:51:51the denver broncos if it was a neutral site game right now it's not but i i think those teams that are
00:51:57better than denver in the nfc i kind of have a tough time picturing someone other than the seahawks
00:52:04rams or eagles going to the super bowl i mean the seahawks have a bye the rams probably have about as
00:52:11close to a bye as you can get going into carolina i would be shocked if they lost to those guys again
00:52:17and then the eagles are in a really good spot having rested their guys playing a niners bunch that
00:52:23you know just kind of got beat up against seattle so afc i think it's a little bit more wide open
00:52:29but i i don't think denver's gonna go nfc i think seattle's got a heck of a chance i think only teams
00:52:36that could maybe knock them off would be the rams or the eagles all right ross uh the producers have
00:52:41uh tasked me with giving you a rubik's cube challenge here in that they want you to make the
00:52:48case for the carolina panthers to beat the la rams this weekend oh it's easy i watched that game
00:52:55like a month ago matthew stafford just totally loses his mind okay okay throws the ball the other team
00:53:02multiple times a pick six has a fumble um carolina offensively they got a pound rico dowdle chuba
00:53:13hubbard possess the ball and then bryce young just make enough plays with his legs or his arm
00:53:19to convert some third downs you know somehow get in the red zone and score a touchdown or two
00:53:26it would be like 20 to 17 carolina they win the turnover battle and bryce young actually 21 20
00:53:36something like that because they're gonna have to score touchdowns when they get to the red area
00:53:3821 20 the carolina is like plus three in the turnover margin and bryce young makes some some
00:53:45incredible off schedule plays down near the goal line for the panthers to have any chance in that
