Introduction to Asset Based Ordering

Asset Based Ordering is an extension to the general order processing capabilities of Siebel Application

It Provides automated processed to manage a customer’s service profile

A Service Profile comprises the products and services currently enjoyed by a customer

The Processes allow changes to be made to a service profile

New Products & Services can be added

Existing Products & Services can be modified

Existing Products & Services can be suspended and resumed

Existing Products & Services can be deleted

The Service Profile is represented by Assets associated with an Account

Changes to the Service Profile are represented by quote & order line items associated with the Asset that is being changed

Completed Order Line Items are ‘applied’ to the associated assets to update the service profile
