I really don’t do well in hot weather so it’s no surprise that Summer is my least favourite time of the year, a rather unpopular opinion I know. For many; it’s a time for ice cream, Barbecues, days at the beach and other fun things but all it is for me is nothing but sweating myself dry, sunburns and nights too hot to sleep through.
Last summer was unusually awful, we temperature peaking as high as 40C (104F) and boy was that fun, even in the shade it was scorching hot. Sure, that might not sound too bad for any of you living in already hot climates but keep in mind that I live in the UK; where the weather is supposed to be cold and wet most of the time. As such, most houses here are built to keep heat in; not out, and Air Conditioning is not very common either. It got so bad that the government had to declare a state of emergency and urged everyone to avoid going outside unless absolutely necessary. An IRL friend of mine even got stranded on his tram journey home because the heat had welded a set of switch tracks together.
This summer was not quite as bad as the previous but still pretty outrageous, about 35C but at least I developed an appreciation for iced coffee so I guess some good came from it. A few years before that, we got dangerously close to having a Wet Bulb Event! It's only going to get worse in the future (thanks Fossil Fuels) but at least we’ll eventually end up growing Oranges in Alaska.
Big thanks to Fweeblies for portraying my struggles through summer by melting me into a puddle. Be sure to fave the Original Submission!

You actually reminded me of something that happened this Summer.
The heat we had one day was so bad, it had boiled whatever water was in our garden hose so when my mum went to use it to water the garden, it sprayed out scolding hot! It gave her the morbid thought of what if some parent was going to spray their child down to cool them off not knowing the water's now dangerously hot due to the ridiculous heat.
