Hee, hee! I love how split the Christian pantheon is. Yeah, Thor and Loki mess with each other all the time, but in the crunch, they're still brothers.

In my impressionable youth, a bunch of guys sat me down, encircled me, and began to talk to me about the heavy subject of My Immortal Soul and what I had to do to save it.

When I woke up later, they just stared at me in silence. Then the leader said, "We never had anyone fall asleep on us before."

I suppose that's because there isn't supposed to be a pantheon beyond the holy trinity (which are all aspects of the same deity) and it's post-facto that people revere satan in a positive light. In fact I believe most of that comes from people conflating him with the antichrist whereas satan is moreso supposed to be patient zero for the infinite torture dimension and the antichrist is supposed to be the actual entity that intentionally stands opposite to the holy trinity and what causes all the hype about the rapture since if you aren't saved you're stuck on earth with him or something.
It's interesting how much it's developed over the times though compared to it's incarnation in ancient history where it literally WAS a form of polytheism that saw other gods as tangible because that's largely how religion in the ancient east operated at the time
