Google Interview Experience

Last Updated : 18 Dec, 2024

I am a pre-final year student at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Delhi. Recently, I had the opportunity to interview with Google and would like to share my experience, which comprised three rounds:

Round 1: Telephonic Interview

This 20-minute session began with a 3–4-minute introduction, followed by data structures questions of easy to medium difficulty.

Round 2: Technical Coding Interview

Lasting 45 minutes, this round involved two coding questions ranging from medium to difficult levels. The interviewer emphasized transitioning from brute-force to optimal solutions, discussing time complexity for each problem.

Round 3: Technical and Behavioral Interview

Two weeks later, I was invited to this final round, which was comparatively easier. The interviewer inquired about my work experience, projects, academic background, and computer science fundamentals, including OOP concepts, DBMS, operating systems, computer networks, and details from my resume. The interviewer was polite and provided ample time for me to elaborate on my experiences in both technical and core fields.

Interviewing with such a prestigious company was a valuable experience, and I gained significant insights from the process.
