The New York Times bestselling author of Bared to You, Sylvia Day, draws us into the shadows of a seductive underworld where lycans, vampires and angels vie for supremacy…
Elijah Reynolds is the most dominant of lycans, a rare Alpha whose skill on the hunt is surpassed only by his primal sexuality. When the lycans revolt due to the iron fist of angelic rule, he steps into command, becoming both enemy and coveted ally in the conflict between vampires and angels.
Vashti is the second most powerful vampire in the world, a lethal beauty with a path of devastation in her wake. Tasked with proposing an alliance between vampires and the lycans who killed her mate, Vash approaches Elijah, whose need to avenge a friend demands Vash’s death even as his passion demands her surrender.
Soon, their enmity erodes beneath an all-consuming desire. Elijah has never encountered a woman whose warrior spirit and fierce sexual appetite rivals his own, while Vash is faced with the one man strong enough to be her equal. But as war looms, each must decide where their loyalty lies—with their own kind or with the enemy lover they can no longer live without.
Acclaimed for her signature emotionally charged storytelling and the psychological complexity of her characters, Sylvia Day is a number one bestselling author in twenty-nine countries, with translations in forty-one languages and over twenty million copies of her books in print. Day is the #1 New York Times, #1 USA Today, #1 Sunday Times, #1 Globe and Mail, #1 Der Spiegel, and #1 international bestselling author of over twenty award-winning novels, including six Sunday Times, ten New York Times and thirteen USA Today bestsellers. Second re-read: 11.02.2020 The book centers around Vashti ‘Vash’ (existed for millennia), the second most powerful vampire in the world and Elijah ‘El’ Reynolds, the most dominant of lycans, a rare Alpha. Vash hates lycans as they are responsible for killing her mate, but she, alongside her leader, needs an alliance with the dogs against a virus that is killing vampires, and the lycans needs the vampires protection against the Sentinels that the lycans have started a war with. What Vashti didn't expected was to feel something other than hatred towards the Alpha who very much wants to kill her.
Overall, I still like it. Though it's no where need as good as the first time around. In the first re-read I realized how much I had changed, my opinions and thoughts, and this round just clarify that. While I still like the characters, I feel like it lacks somewhat depth that was needed to grow their relationship, and am I the only one who suddenly got the insta-love feeling? That being said, I'm taking this book of my ‘favorite’ shelf. PS!
Characters: As the list is long and FILLED with information, I put it in a spoilers tag.
Quick basic facts: Genre: - (Adult) Paranormal Romance (M/F). Series: - Series (Can Be Read As A Standalone), Book Two. Love triangle? - Cheating? - HEA? - Favorite character? - Ezra Cahal Zeller. Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Yes. Would I recommend this book/series? - Yes. Will I read this again in the future? - Probably. New Rating - 3.5/3 stars. Re-read: 19.01.16 I know I love this book. No matter what. It just sucked that I was stupid enough to re-read it when I was in a reading slump, and ended up skimming a lot in the book AND ended up with a lower rating -.-' I have to re-read it yet again in the future, when I'm out of the reading slump, so the rating can go up again xp New rate: 4 stars. First read review: Ahh man.. this book.. it's fantastic! Pretty much like all Sylvia Day's books! She's a genius, her writing is so good! A Hunger So Wild is phenomenal. The characters just catch you, and you can't help but to love them. I wish there was more of them, but Sylvia haven't written anymore of my lovely, rare, dominant, lycan Alpha Elijah and independent, strong, beautiful, second most powerful vampire, Vashti. But we can always dream and wish :D I did not read, however, the first book in this series (which you don't need to read to understand) because, to be frankly honest, it didn't really catch my interest, but this one did, and I don't regret a moment of the time it took to read it. Though it was so good that I read it pretty fast... I want more of these characters! I might have to re-read this book, so there might be a better review in the future :) Rate: 5 Stars.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
⤅ Did the author publish this book without realising it wasn't actually finished????
The ending is so abrupt that that's the only conclusion I can draw. I turned the page and was confronted with the first chapter of the sequel, which - to add insult to injury - hasn't been published, despite this book coming out NINE YEARS AGO. It was almost as bad as a Heyer ending and I had to dock a star for this.
I only picked up this book because it has a vampire heroine, and I love those. I didn't read the first book so this one had confusing world-building, but I won't blame it for my own lack of research. What I do blame it for is the shallow characters, uninspired writing, and weak romance.
Vashti is a millennia-old angel who Fell and became a vampire. Her mate Charron was murdered by werewolves, but she strikes a deal with the Alpha werewolf Elijah to help her get revenge on Charron's murderers. But... none of her actions make sense. She doesn't seem to even try particularly hard to get vengeance - or at least, the author couldn't sufficiently convince me about the depth of her need for vengeance. None of it rang true. How was she able to solve the crime so easily through like, computer research, if she'd been searching for 60 years? Why wasn't she more surprised that Eli was the first man since Charron to affect her? Where was the soul-searching?
She and Elijah have a connection grounded in insta-lust, which the author then clumsily spins out into 'real love'. Again, didn't ring true. The world seems like a pale shadow of Nalini Singh's, with angels and vampires and wolves and demons all thrown into one poorly-written mess. Had everything in it but the kitchen sink.
The sex scenes are hot, but that's about it. Eli and Vashti couldn't convince me of their connection and the horrible ending just seals that. I'd say I won't read the sequel, but... clearly it won't be written anyway.
In A Hunger So Wild "the enemy of my enemy" is not exactly a friend but an ally born of mutual necessity. The Fallen (vampires) need daylight hunters to help them search for the cause of a virulent disease that is decimating their ranks and the Lycans have the time but need what the Fallen have to offer in order to keep their newly forming packs free from their Sentinel (angelic) former bosses. So the Fallen and the Lycans team up and vampire Vashti becomes liaison to the Lycans, despite the fact the she hates 'dogs' for killing her mate and must deal directly with their alpha, Elijah, who she's sworn to kill for a more recent crime. And Vashti is on Elijah's kill list as well for murdering his best friend, but they'll work together for now, kill each other when they're done, and lust with a wild feral hunger for each other in the meantime.
A Hunger So Wild was so good. There is a decent amount of touch up with the past leads, Lindsay and Adrian, from the first book A Touch of Crimson, since the background story involves a conspiracy that impacts all three of the groups with past and present angelic ties. And I liked that there is good amount of development of relationships beyond the romantic ones in the cast – Elijah's friendship with Lindsay, Fallen leader Sayre's with Vashti, and a newly developing connection between Sayre and the fledgling who formerly housed the soul of his nephalim daughter.
I also really liked the enemies to lovers romance between Vashti and Elijah. There's a intense, wild, and almost feral chemistry between these leads. However, with two strong and dangerous beings who value control in the mix and so many reasons why a relationship between them is wrong – personal baggage and tested loyalties both - the course of their relationship is far from smooth (and their physical connection starts off with a scene that transitions briefly into iffy consent. ) But the conflicted lustiness makes for some very steamy times between them and I liked the final resolution for the pair in which they make a place for their relationship in a world where their pairing doesn't fit nicely.
For those curious about whether author Day ties the two Renegade shorts into the main story line, both of the pairings from those stories (A Dark Kiss of Rapture and A Caress of Wings) are mentioned briefly, but Raze's looks to be still in progress. Oh and for fans of Day's Marked series (Eve of Destruction, Eve of Chaos, Eve of Darkness) – which shares the same world as this series – there is a brief cameo by Eve, that series' heroine which is fun, but not enough to really catch up with her.
So, I really liked this steamy and satisfying addition to Day's Renegade Angel series and am really curious about how the background plot is going to unfold and I am also really looking forward to seeing Sayre in the lead – Day did a really good job of whetting my appetite for more of his character.
A Hunger So Wild is the second book (there are two novellas preceding it as well) in the Renegade Angels series. This is my first foray into this dark world Miz Day has created. I have concluded that while this story will make sense as a standalone, you are simply missing too much overall to truly enjoy and appreciate the book on its own. Keep that in my when considering my opinion, since I am reviewing it as a standalone.
Vashti, the right hand of the leader of the Fallen—angels who fell from grace, lost their wings and souls, and are now vampires—has lost her mate and fellow Fallen, Charron. His death caused Vashti to loose the tenuous hold she had on her sanity. The last sixty years she has spent in warrior mode. A killing machine without mercy, her only goal to find her mate’s killers and avenge him.
Elijah Reynolds, the reluctant leader of the lycans—defenders of the Sentinels (angels) and marshals of the Fallen’s minions (turned vampires)—has been framed for Charron’s murder. Vashti has tortured and killed to get to him. That is, until the Fallen need his aid more than Vashti needs her vengeance. Forced to work together, it is quickly uncovered that many things—including Charron’s murder—are not what they seem. Someone is working to manipulate all the factions. To what ends, no one knows.
This is where things are not as clear as they may have been, if I had read the previous installments. There is an overall arc of betrayal and espionage and bio warfare that is weaved throughout the series. I could gather the gist of it but I’m definitely looking forward to starting it from the beginning. There are rogues and spies in each faction—Fallen, Sentinels, and Lycans. And there is the spread of a virus that only affects the vampires, turning them into wraith-like beings. Miz Day has created drama and intrigue and mystery that peaked my curiosity and kept me interested.
The romance between Vashti and Elijah was rough and earthy and impassioned to a feverish degree. These two don’t simmer, they explode. It is all or nothing, zero to sixty. I loved how Vashti, the second on the Fallen’s totem pole, became pliant and submissive to Elijah. And the way Elijah topped her, while managing to be tender and compassionate at the same time—that is the way an alpha should be. All of that power combined with innate gentleness.
My only complaint is the end… One minute the progress that Vashti and Elijah made in their relationship is about to reach its pinnacle—the, er, climax of their will we, can we, should we, screw everyone else let’s do this!—then it changes to another point of view and just… ends. What!? I flipped my kindle over, staring blankly at the back, wondering if somehow my ebook was missing pages? I gather that Vashti and Elijah will show up in the next book, as the previous couple had more than one appearance in this book, but… No! I want the scene on the airplane to take place in this book. I don’t want to wait for that.
Sigh.
Grr.
A Hunger So Wild is an unusual and inventive take on angels and vampires and werewolves. Their creation, the hierarchies, the relationships between all the factions, it made for a very complex and fascinating world that was easy to become captivated with. I really, really need to find the time to devour A Touch of Crimson (#1), as well as the novellas A Dark Kiss of Rapture (#0.5) – which is currently free – and A Caress of Wings (#1.5).
Favorite Quote: She scowled and blocked the view from the house with her body. “Put your damn fur back on before Himeko comes out here.” “For fuck’s sake. Nudity doesn’t automatically equate to sex in a lycan’s mind.” “She’s female. In case you hadn’t noticed, they drool all over you when you’re clothed. When you’re like this”—she gestured at his body with an impatient wave of her hand—“you’re asking to be molested.
No sé cómo quedará.
Hay unas cuantas historias cortas de esta saga: Dark kiss of rapture, Adrian: Bonus material for a touch of crimson, A caress of wings y A lush kiss surrender.
Elijah is the hottest werewolf ever! HOT HOT HOT While I like Vash, I'm not sure she's good enough for him!
This book is a follow-up to A Touch of Crimson. While it will stand alone, I would recommend readers read Crimson before this book. I think the pieces to the puzzle will go together better.
Sylvia Day is the hottest writers going right now. This book will show you why. She has a poetry to her word phrasing that will pull you into the story and make you feel like you're there. While her sex scenes are hot (erotically), the build up to the scenes is so sensual, you'll feel the tension with every word from her characters, every movement.
I am DYING for the next book. I'm afraid Sylvia will be getting whining emails from me...I want to read MORE!
And I LOVED getting to see Eve again. If you never read her "Eve" books (from TOR), find them IMMEDIATELY! They will knock your socks off. In fact, now that I'm writing about them, I think I'll have to go pull my copies off my keeper shelf and read them again. They are THAT GOOD.
A Hunger So Wild was made of awesome, rolled in awesome, and then dipped in awesome sauce!! Elijah and Vashti were a very unlikely couple but they fit together so well and the chemistry between them was OFF. THE. FRAKKIN. CHARTS. I loved every minute I spent with them and can't wait to see how the trilogy ends. Full review can be found here: http://www.smashattackreads.com/2012/...
I could read Sylvia Day every day the rest of my life and be quite happy and content. I’ve not read a book of hers yet that has disappointed me, but if by chance that ever does happen, I know it will still be a damn good book despite any issues I may have. She’s just that good. And she takes this reader through every emotion imaginable when cruising through her stories.
I enjoyed meeting Elijah in the first book in this series and was glad his book would be next. He’s a trusted friend of Lindsay, mate to Adrian, leader of angel sentinels who keep the Fallen in line. Elijah is also Fallen, a werewolf enchained to assist the angels whenever there is a need. He hunts vampires, who are also Fallen, and revels in it. When we last saw Elijah at the end of Touch of Crimson, his werewolf pack had just revolted against their servitude, forcing him to take the lead as Alpha, something he truly does not want. The rebellion is now a done deal and Elijah is doing his best to keep everyone alive. He knows Adrian will be upon them soon.
Vashti is Syre’s lieutenant, his right-hand woman. Both are Fallen vampires and are currently trying to combat an illness that is destroying any of their kind who it infects. After her initial meeting and reaction to Elijah, Vash wants nothing to do with him, but Syre insists an alliance with the wolves will be beneficial and sending her will send the right signals to all involved. Not wanting to work with the animals that murdered her mate, Vash reluctantly complies, and her world as she’s lived it for so long is about to come to an end. As much as she wants to despise the wolf Elijah is, she can’t deny the man is one put-together package. He has it all, including rank. Her former mate was not her equal, and this new relationship building with Elijah turns her on. But once his promise to help her find her mate’s killers, Elijah is a dead man.
There’s not one thing not to like about this book. Elijah and Vashti are perfect together, their hunger for one another so palpable every time they’re together. The scene where Vash chains Elijah to the bed so she can be in control of their passion is so alive it flies off the page at you. You feel her need to be the one calling the shots, but you also feel Elijah’s whole being ripping apart as he’s restrained and taken in such a way. Their need to gain vengeance against the other for deeds amassed in this war they wage against the other’s faction is what drives them in the beginning. And you watch that need slowly develop over the course of the book into their hunger for each other -it’s poetry in motion.
As they work together, the mystery they’ve been trying to solve begins to come unravel, uncovering betrayal no one saw coming. This uneasy alliance between vampires and werewolves has come a long way, and Elijah is not willing to leave Adrian on the outside, especially after what they discover. The whole of their world has now been altered, and more is to come. Whether they realize it or not, both factions, as well as Elijah and Vashti, have become stronger when working together. Is it possible to be even more so if Adrian and Sentinels also join them? That remains to be seen. There’s no telling which way this series is going to head now.
It’s great to see Adrian and Lindsay again, and, goodness, the one scene that is firmly imprinted in my head is that in which Adrian flies them both through the skies toward the heavens, almost daring his maker not to intervene with their love and loving as they’re soaring on those crimson wings. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that scene. Whew!
I’m so taken with every aspect of this series, and I can’t wait to see what happens next, because the end of this book certainly leaves everything wide open. And Syre is next. It’s going to be very interesting to see how Ms. Day brings this hero to his knees with that perfect heroine.
In the world of the Renegade Angels, Sentinel angels are warriors created to watch over fallen angels who lost their souls and wings and became vampires. The Sentinels are served by lycans, fallen angels who kept their souls in exchange for mortality and indentured servitude to the Sentinels. Lycans were created by the Sentinels for hunting and containing vampires. Vampires and lycans are natural enemies.
A Hunger So Wild picks up where book one, A Touch of Crimson, left off, which was immediately after the rebellion of the lycans against the Sentinels. Elijah Reynolds, the most dominant lycan, becomes the reluctant alpha of the largest, most organized pack of lycans.
Vashti, second in command of the vampires, is tasked with forming an alliance with the new alpha. The vampires need the aid of the lycans in tracking down a virus that is infecting their minions. Vashti is chosen for the liaison even though she tortured and ultimately killed Elijah's best friend. And in spite of the fact that lycans killed her mate.
Sparks fly between the two, sparks of passion and conflict. As the factions try to tear them apart, Elijah and Vashti are faced with staying true to their own kind or to each other.
♥♥♥♥♥
Elijah is an honorable, self-sacrificing alpha who can make tough decisions and brutally act upon them. Yet he's vulnerable when it comes to Vashti. He's a hero to love. Vashti is his match. She's a tough, deadly alpha female in her own right, but Elijah throws her off balance. She doesn't know what to do with the feelings that he stirs in her for the first time since she lost her beloved mate. Their passion is scorching. There is one scene of slightly dubious consent--with a bit of a twist.
The story builds upon the foundation of A Touch of Crimson, and A Hunger So Wild is best understood and enjoyed if you've read the first book. The ideal situation would be to read them back-to-back. The action, intrigue, betrayals, and mystery will keep you turning the pages well into the night. The braided plot lines are long and involved over the course of the two books, and aren't completed. Even the story of Adrian and Lindsay, the hero and heroine from A Touch of Crimson, continues.
*Minor spoiler ahead.*
My biggest complaint with the book is that I couldn't get enough of it. I swiped to the next page on my Kindle Fire expecting more of Elijah and Vashti's story, only to find that the book ends before their story is tied up neatly with a pretty bow (though you won't be too disappointed). A Hunger So Wild sets up the next book, A Touch of Seduction, the last book in the trilogy. I trust that we'll learn all the answers we've been waiting for since page one of A Touch of Crimson. I look forward to it.

For about five seconds, I considered reading this book without reading A Touch of Crimson. I'm so glad I didn't. While I probably would have eventually figured out what was going on, I can't imagine that I would have found it nearly as good if I were not so familiar with the world-building or invested in the characters. So before I get too far into this, let me recommend that if you haven't read the first book in this series, you should do so before you start this one.
This is Elijah's story. He is the reluctant Alpha of the lycans who recently rose up from the indentured servitude of the warrior angels. His life has been turned on its ear by the rebellion. Hunting vampires for the Seraphim has been all he has ever known. Now the vampires are coming to him, asking for an alliance. It's an offer too good to refuse with the lycans' limited resources and the angels breathing down their backs.
The vampires' ambassador is Vashti, the beautiful sexy vamp he wanted so much when he saw her in the last book. Of course, it's not so simple as to just getting her into bed. She is the vampire who killed his friend Micah. His sense of honor demands justice as does Micah's mate, but the alliance is more important than revenge. He must put aside his anger and grief to work with Vashti long enough to figure out what is causing the illness sweeping through vampire minions. Then he plans to kill her.
Vashti is no fan of the lycans. After all, they brutally killed her mate decades ago. But even her hatred can't dull the fiery passion she feels for Elijah. A passion they have for one another, despite everything else.
It was hard for me relate to these two wanting to screw each other's brains out when they wished each other dead. Thankfully, they start to like each other quickly and that is not an issue for very long. There are other issues that take its place, though, mostly on Vashti's end. She doesn't want to want Elijah and she certainly doesn't want to have feelings for him. Her reasons why become clearer the more we read, but I never really did warm up to her. She's too reluctant of a love interest and she is a very hard woman.
Elijah, on the other hand, is a great hero. He is alpha and strong without ever being power-hungry or a jerk. He is thoughtful and patient. He knows what he wants and he will settle for nothing less, both in his pack and in his relationship with Vashti.
There's a lot going on here beyond the relationship. We learn more about the vamp-sickness and the master-plan against the angels and the vampires. We get more from Adrian and Lindsay --and even follow up on the two novellas. There is good mix of action and "the bigger picture" which kept me on the edge of my seat. And the sex is really hot, even if the very first love scene was somewhat disturbing.
The ending made it clear what would happen between our hero and heroine, but so much is still left undone. I am beside myself that I must wait until next year to get the answers to all my questions, but that just shows how much I have become invested in this world.
This story has been described well in the other reviews so I’m just going to give my opinion on it. Loved it! I loved Elijah and Vashti together; they were two very strong characters that rocked these pages.
Let me start by suggesting that this series be read in order, not that I did mind you, but it’s best if you do. I was lost for the first few chapters trying to absorb all the players and who can do what. The glossary in the beginning was good, but series books are somewhat like building blocks, it’s best to start at the base and build from there. There were also lots of dealings with Adrian and Lindsey in this book, who were the couple from book one A Touch of Crimson. Anyway, once I got the gist of the characters this story just flew by and in a good way. This isn’t erotica but dam close in the passion these two share. Lots of side characters so future books look very promising.
Don’t expect a traditional ending with closure on all fronts for Elijah and Vashti because that’s not what you will get. This book is more of a ‘to be continued’ story. And continue I will. I just purchasing the first book to read so I’m better prepared and also got a freebie from Kobo A Dark Kiss of Rapture which is a short story about Raze.
I recommend it to anyone who likes well written paranormal with wonderful characters and wicked hot sexy scenes;)
I started this trilogy two days ago and plowed through the first book a touch of crimson. I love the first book but I had two problems with this the plot is a bit lost as it is still trying to establish the world and the character development means that we miss out on or rush through important events such as the kycan revolt. Where the hell did that come from? I also thought that for what is considered by many as erotica there were some hot scenes but not as many as expected.
Everything that is missing in the first book is made up for in spades in this book. The book brings us more into the world day has created and we see more of the virus and who might be behind it. The development of the story was definitely great in this novel and I also enjoyed the few glimpses into Adrian and Lindsay's continuing relationship. But above all Elijah and vashti definitely stole the show, ummm book in this case. The chemistry between these two rivals any of days other books and I really love the development of their relationship. The heat and erotica is taken to a whole new level of hotness in this story, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I simply can't wait for syres story in the next novel. What I really like about this series is that unlike other series the different clans are not pictured as purely good and evil. Both of them have their light and dark sides and I think this is really compelling. Its not really vamps against angels, its the main characters coming together to fight the forces that pose a threat to them.
Elijah a delicious alpha lycan agrees to work with Vashti a vampire. They are trying to find out who is spreading this deadly vampire sickness.
Naturally they fall for one another. They are pretty hot together. Other than that the story isn't really too exciting. We learn some more about Adrian and Lindsay but that's really it. Cash is not the vampire that killed Lindsay's mom, it is someone that looked a lot like her.
Nothing gets solved, more people get involved. I guess Vash and Eli are involved. This is what I hate about most SD books they just end leaving more questions than anything else.
Persino fragile, a volte.

«Lindsay.» La sua voce risonante era leggermente preoccupata. «Che succede? C’è qualcosa che non va?» «Sai quanto ho bisogno di te, Adrian? Quanto è diventato importante per me averti a fianco?
Buona lettura
Elijah Reynolds is one sexy as hell lycan (wish I could take him home). After the lycans rebeled and left Adrian, Elijah fell into the Alpha role. He's the strongest and a natural leader. And that is what Syre wants him on his side. So he sends Vashti, his second in command, to form an alliance with the lycan rebel alpha.
Vashti's mate had been killed by a lycan and Elijah was set up to take that fall and be blamed. Then Vashti killed Elijah's brother. But since A TOUCH OF CRIMSON Elijah has wanted Vashti even though he shouldn't have. They are all wrong for each other but their attraction is more powerful than any of these things.
Vashti (LOOOOOOVE HER!) is a very strong female to an even stronger male. She hasn't been with anyone since her mate but even then no one has made her feel and want like Elijah. They hunger for each other in the most primal way. It's hot and I didn't want it to end!!!
And this book is not just an amazing couple, the story actually progressed a lot in this book. I was surprised by some developments and I really can't wait to see what the last installment in this trilogy has in store. We even had some Adrian and Lindsay in this story.
This has been an amazing year for Sylvia Day books for me and this one was no exception. Action packed, story driven, sensual and raw. An un-put-downable story!
Oh Snap, what an awesome f-----g read. It's definitely off the chain. And I just added it to my favorites. I was pulled in from page one and hung on every word til the very end. There are twists and turns that keep you guessing and it works wonderfully. The story is fast paced, and addicting. The characters are so fierce, dangerous and sexy. I absolutely could not put this book down. And believe me I tried. Vash and El, they are a perfect match, and one of my favorite couples ever. Vash thought she could gain the upper hand but El surprised the shit out of her and I loved every minute of it. Their dance was beautiful, touching and sensual. The heat factor is off the charts, the sex was heated but beautiful. And I found my toes curling a few times too. I found the story engaging, and capitavating and it ended all to soon for me. And damn it we have to wait until February for A Taste of Seduction. Shit I can't wait. I have no idea whose behind all the attacks but between the Sentinels, the Vamps and the Lycans, well lets just say the shits going hit the fan and may be in the process these enemies will realize just how much they have in common and even need one another. If you haven't started this seris, DO... For those of you who have read it...well you're in great company... Can I get an AMEN!!! HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
A Hunger So Wild is book 2 in the Renegade Angel series and this installment was even better than the first!
Elijah, the reluctant Alpha who was charged with protecting Lindsey in A Touch of Crimson, finds himself leading the Lycans after they revolt from being ruled by the Angels. He is tormented when he faces the killer of his friend, does he avange his death or accept the alliance Vashti is offering? Can Vashti work with the Lycan's when she is still consumed with the need to hunt down the Lycan's who killed her mate?
Elijah intrigued me from the first moment he entered the story, I was so excited to learn A Hunger so Wild's main focus would be on him. The tension build up between Elijah and Vashti is intense, the attraction is immense and when they give in, the heat is scorching!
Sylvia did most of the world building in the first book so the plot development felt a lot smoother in this one, there was a lot of action and plenty of twists to keep me entertained.
I highly recommend reading these in order, Sylvia left a lot of loose ends in the first book and some are resolved in this one, some are developed slightly but left open for the next book. I would recommend this to anyone who loves an action packed Urban Fantasy Romance.

I love this series. It gets better and better. Each book, while unique to each hero and heroine, keeps the continuity of the previous stories in the forefront.
The underlying story is filled with suspense with twists and turns, which makes this an all around win for me. My only regret is that I have to wait for the next book to come out in February 2013.
I hope Sylvia Day throws us another short in between. That would make the wait more bearable.
Just a heads up, make sure you read the shorts as listed below. It makes it easier to get acquainted with the hierarchy of angels, vampires and lycan.
I really enjoyed this book. I have been waiting for Elijah and Vash's story since A Touch of Crimson and it was really hot. I can't wait to see what happens in this series.
I knew these two were meant to be the moment that the were on the same page together in A Touch of Crimson and I have been waiting as patiently as possible to see how their romance was going to unfurl. I am glad to say that I was not disappointed. Sylvia Day is one of the most talented writers in the game right now as attested to the fact that I am also currently waiting for the next book in her Crossfire series also.
Aside from the romance it answered a lot of questions that were left unanswered and left more questions to keep you wondering until the next book. I can't wait to see who the culprits are and how both sides are going to handle it.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING are the two words that come to mind after reading Sylvia Day’s new release, A Hunger So Wild, the second book in her tantilizing Renegade Angels series. Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any better, Ms. Day pulls out all of the stops that include but are not limited to fast-paced, action-packed adventure, scorching hot sex, especially between Elijah and Vashti, cloak and dagger scemarios that encompasses all of the conflict, and a multi-facet plot that is well-written with dialogue that flows smoothly over each page like a poem only with more action and adventure. In fact, the Renegade Angels series would make a ROCKIN’ television show. Read More!
