Rate this book

Lily and Grace Garrison, and their trusty beagle Rocky, are ready for a relaxing getaway.

When their friend Daniel Farnsworth invites them to Oakwood Pastures,
a prestigious equestrian estate he’s heavily invested in.

But their vacation takes a dark turn when a champion horse dies under suspicious circumstances,

followed by a string of sabotage incidents, during a high-stakes equestrian championship.

With the stable’s reputation—and owner Malcolm’s fortune—on the line, tensions run high.

Is someone trying to ruin Oakwood Pastures from the inside, or is there a more sinister motive at play?

When a groomsman is found dead, allegedly from a horse’s kick, Lily and Grace suspect murder.

With Rocky’s sharp nose leading the way, they uncover a tangled web of deception, rivalries, and hidden agendas.

Can the sisters rein in the truth before the killer strikes again?

Murder Most Equine is a cozy mystery that will have you jumping through hoops till the end.

Hello, Cozy Mystery Friends! I'm Capri Winslow, and I love writing Cozy Mysteries. I love murder mysteries with red herrings, amateur sleuths, and grumpy detectives who don't like amateur sleuths.

I grew up in a small town, so relationships within the community are close to my heart. There will always be humor in my books, and all of my Cozy Mysteries will have a beagle dog involved in the mystery. Beagles have a nose for clues!

I have four beagle dogs who bring me joy! They are such a fun breed.

Writing has been a passion of mine since I was young. When I retired from Nursing, I began writing Cozy Mysteries and reading them to my six beautiful grandkids.

Please enjoy my passion with me and read my Cozy Mysteries. Thank You!

Love and Blessings,

Capri Winslow

A murder Most Equine

Loved this book! I didn’t want to put it down. I was in the horse world, but not the upper levels and definitely not into showing. But, I could easily follow the story here and it seems like it could actually happen in the horse world.

Read it for the horses

The author seems to know horses, their care and competition. Made for an easy read. Poorly edited. Could have been better.
