I just love the two weird MCs and their age gap difference representation.
It's funny, nostalgic and sad. But it's so worth it. Most probably my most fav this month. The artstyle is just too good!

Jimmy là kẻ sống bằng việc trộm cắp, trong một lần đang móc túi, Jimmy đã bị bắt quả tang bởi Reese - anh chàng hơn tuổi. Jimmy tự dưng sang Chap 2 rồi nói là thích Reese, và bắt đầu tán tỉnh anh ta. Còn cái quá khứ về sự ám ảnh của Reese thì chưa thực sự khai thác tốt. Tất cả dồn vào việc cả hai hẹn hò một cách quá nhanh, thậm chí diễn biến sau đó cực kỳ dễ đoán. Và thay vì chọn phát triển nhân vật tiếp tục, tác giả lại đưa cảnh H vào.

CTK's art style is divine as usual with the engaging, hooking premise. They'll swallow you whole. I enjoyed Midnight Rain as much as I enjoyed and loved this one!! I just love the characters' relationship development. If you're looking for handsome, hunk men in a relationship after a commonplace encounter with a bit of a rough back story, let CTK treat you with her dreamy series. And man is Jimmy so adorable when he cried, lol. I can't stop smiling seeing a broad-shouldered guy wearing an apron, looking so sorrowful and asking for forgiveness. Augh, too adorable!! The filler chapter Lucky Bill is cute too!!!

The cover convinced me this was a noir, but in reality it’s the sweetest one shot about a pickpocket and a traumatized ex-cop unintentionally falling in love at their bookstore job….
The art was so good, my only complaint is the length. I wish there was an extra chapter or two so we could learn a little more about the protagonists, otherwise this was an all around very enjoyable manga. Love these two and the side couple in the extra chapter!

The best one-shots are those by CTK because the art is so exquisite and the narrative genuinely feels like it has a beginning and a conclusion. Despite being only 5 chapters, the characters were incredibly well-developed and had a lot of depth. Did I mention that the artwork is breath-taking?

Çözümlerini vallahi otomatik düzeltme kurbanıyım çizimleri o sidkdjdjd ve hikâyesini beğendim. Beş chapter ve iki ekstra bölümden oluşuyor. İçerik kesinlikle yetişkin bunu da belirtmek lazım. Ona göre okuyun derim ben.
Manga ile ilgili tek şikayetim kısalığı olabilir. Belki bir de genel olarak konuşmak gerekirse manga-ka’nın başka mangası olmamasından dert yanabilirim sizlere. Umarım en kısa zamanda yenilerini yayınlar, takipte kalacağım.

This is my first manhwa from the artists. I like the style, but the story itself wasn't as impressive. An ex-cop and a pickpocket, both who end up working at a bookshop. Both the characters and their relationship needed a lot more development - Reese's backstory with his partner being killed off could have been expanded a lot more. And also we don't know much about Jimmy, how he ended up becoming a criminal.

I really liked the title story. There is a second one in there, which was rather short and I really didn't care for it. The first story, though, is the kind I'd like to read more of, because it feels more mature, not only because of the artstyle. There is the obvious conflict of Jimmy being a pickpocket and Reese being a former cop. But Jimmy (unknowingly) stirs up some bad memories when he plots his revenge on Reese by breaking into his home. The pacing was nice for a one volume manga and both characters were likable. I know the way Jimmy acted was wrong but

I admit I got interested in this title because of the art style. I very rarely read yaoi these days but I decided to give this one a chance and I have to admit I really enjoyed it! I didn't cringe at it when it comes to consent (which is unfortunately a common issue with yaoi) and actually really enjoyed the dynamic between Jimmy and Reese. It wasn't a mind-blowing masterpiece but I liked the plot and characters enough to actually come back to this story again if I crave a good simple romance with a pinch of crime and bookshop shenanigans in it. The art was right up my alley until the end. Generally, it's a great causal gay romance read and I fully recommend it as such!

Rilettura 2022:
Dopo tanto tempo ho riletto questo manga e devo dire che anche in questo caso l'ho apprezzato moltissimo. Forse rispetto alla prima lettura c'è stata meno magia e devo dire che avrei aggiunto qualche piccolo dettaglio in più sulla vita del protagonista ma in fin dei conti è il risultato che conta e ancora oggi, dopo anni dalla prima lettura, mi sento di consigliarlo e spero con tutto il cuore che qualche CE ascolti le mie preghiere e decida di pubblicarlo perché davvero... è una storia bella e piena di significato.
Lettura 2018:
L'ho adorato! Fin dal primo momento mi ha catturato essendo incuriosita dal rapporto tra i due protagonisti, così diversi tra di loro per età e stile di vita e poi... AHHH ho amato Jimmy e il suo atteggiamento da ragazzetto, così impulsivo in alcuni momenti, per via del carattere e della giovane età e così dorkettino nei momenti più semplici, mi ha divertito soprattutto vederlo alle prese con i suoi dilemmi morali, come si fa prendere dalle paranoie e si preoccupa per cose alla fine non troppo gravi ma risolvibili con il dialogo... sono rimasta stregata dal realismo con cui ci viene presentato, come un giovane che non ha avuto una vita facile ma che grazie all'aiuto e all'amore del compagno riesce a riprendere in mano le redini della sua vita e cambiare in meglio. Allo stesso modo ho amato Reese, un uomo adulto e maturo, segnato da un trauma che ancora lo perseguita. Il suo essere così vivo e umano, così forte da aiutare Jimmy a cambiare vita e allo stesso tempo così fragile da rischiare di rovinare un rapporto appena sbocciato per paura e mancanza di sicurezza mi ha colpito. La storia scorre senza troppi intoppi ed è verosimile, non ricorre a escamotage da quattro soldi per sconvolgere il lettore ma si concentra sul rapporto tra i due uomini, mettendo in luce ogni dettaglio della storia d'amore, con ombre e luci, segreti e paure e ovviamente... tanto amore! Un manga con disegni incantevoli, ben realizzato e consigliatissimo! Sicuramente avrei voluto vedere di più, scoprire qualche dettaglio in più sulla morte del collega di Reese, sul suo trauma e perché no... qualche dettaglio sulla vita passata di Jimmy e su come si sia ritrovato a fare il ladruncolo... un po' di storia in più non sarebbe stato male e avrebbe permesso un maggiore coinvolgimento, soprattutto avrebbe mostrato bene il peso che deve sopportare Reese, il motivo per cui reagisce in un determinato modo ecc nonostante questo però il tutto è narrato in modo così dolce e perfetto che... per una volta non mi sento di polemizzare troppo né abbassare la mia valutazione. Consigliatissimo agli amanti delle storie verosimili, dolci ma con un pizzico di angst, divertenti e con il giusto lieto fine!

4,5 estrellas. Me pase todo el manga suspirando por Reese, que hombre!
Me gusto el cambio de Jimmy, un poco apresurado pero creo que esta bien. La otra mini historia fue muy extra, ósea tranquilamente no lo hubieran agregado.
Jimmy y Reese fueron hermosos, adorables y tenaces, ellos apuestan por seguir adelante. Los Amo!

Una historia sencilla, bonita y con un dibujo espectacular.
Jimmy es un maleante que se dedica a robar carteras en el metro (o en el tren, tanto da) cuando un tipo lo pilla con más manos en la masa. El hombre, Resse, en vez de entregarlo a la policía, le propone trabajar un día en la librería donde él curra. Jimmy, enrabietado, decide vengarse por la humillación y se cuela en la casa de Resse y es ahí cuando se entera de que el tío era poli. Asustado, Jimmy se va sin robar nada, pero Resse pasa unos días sin ir a trabajar. Ante este hecho, Jimmy investiga y descubre el motivo por el cual Resse dejó de ser policia.
Sintiéndose culpable, Jimmy le quiere decir que se coló en su casa, pero cuando empieza a sentir algo por él tiene miedo y decide callar.
Con esta premisa CTK no deleita comuna historia sencilla, simple, pero muy bonita. Una historia sin toxicidad, igualitaria entre dos hombres y sin rastro de homofóbia. Tampoco ahí aquí ningún tipo de cliché de años atrás en el bl, algo que parece que se está comenzando a superar poco a poco.
Otro aliciente en esta historia es el dibujo adulto y masculino de los personajes. Es una delicia la forma que tiene CTK de dibujar unos tíos buenos con cuerpazos, algo que nada le tiene que envidiar a Zariya.

Da ich den Manga zu Weihnachten geschenkt bekommen habe wollte ich ihn dann auch gleich lesen. Der Grundgedanke der Geschichte hat mir gefallen, ein Ex-Cop und ein Taschendieb verlieben sich ineinander. Die Geschichte an sich hat mir dann auch ganz gut gefallen, doch fand ich sie zu kurz. Am Ende gibt es noch eine zusätzlich 20 Seiten lange Geschichte über einen Freund von Jimmy, die hätte man in meinen Augen lieber in einen extra Band packen sollen und dann auch ausführlicher, da das Potenzial da gewesen wäre und dafür dann die 20 Seiten nützen, um noch mehr auf die Geschichte von Jimmy und Reese einzugehen.
Die Zeichnungen haben mochte ich, im Vergleich zu den anderen Mangas, die ich schon gelesen habe, was nicht viele sind, fand ich den Stil anders. Besonders die Mimik fand ich toll, die Gesichter waren oft sehr ausdrucksstark, obwohl Mund und Nase oft eher einfach gezeichnet sind. Etwas schade fand ich es, dass im Bonus Kapitel, in dem die beiden intim wurden, zensiert wurde, aber ich habe gelesen, dies sei wohl leider normal, da ich davor In These Words und Ten Count gelesen hatte, war mir dies nicht bewusst und so fand ich es doch schade.

Really liked the idea of the story and the characters were pretty great too, but it seemed a bit rushed. The dynamic felt better towards the end but I still wasn't completely into it. Nevertheless a good start for CTK with their first Manga that I read.

Quite a decent shounen ai. Really liked the pacing and that the story wasn't in your face unlike some gay manga who try to push you with too much fanservice. Yeah check out this manga folks!

Ahhh this was so good 😍 Thief x ex-cop to former-thief x re-instated cop. I loved the mental health rep, the art was beautiful, it was refreshing that there was zero homophobia and they could kiss & hold hands in public with zero issues — plus the seme is a gorgeous puppy/crybaby delinquent type and the uke was a world-weary older former officer that had a cute blushy wanton side. Their meet cute was uncute and seme really steps in it before catching feels, there’s a rough patch but they get through it and while it feels fast, it was only 6 chapters so it’s gonna be a little fast lol. But it was still such a satisfying read. Def going on my favorite list.

Let me start off by saying that the cover art is just genuinely stunning. For a single volume it really carried a lot of depth and both Jimmy and Reese were overall well written. The plot did feel a bit rushed, but that’s to be expected with a story of this length. I deem this story as a great representation of age gap relationships and I really appreciate it for said representation.
Overall it was something different but none the less enjoyable.

Un manga cortito con una extensión de un tomo. No ha estado nada mal, tampoco buscaba algo del otro mundo ni una historia demasiado dura.
Otro punto a favor es que no son adolescentes los protagonistas y eso quieran o no a veces lo agradezco. Peca un poco de tóxico pero eso ni me voy a quejar porque me ha entretenido y basta.

It was good, very nice art and story. Still, it felt a bit rushed (insta-lovey) for me to believe they loved each other so much that Reese forgave Jimmy for what he had done. Other than that they made a beautiful couple (looks wise).
