“I’m just her new roommate. Her attending. The idiot stuck on a woman who will never want him the way he wants her.”
imagine a grey’s anatomy type of story but without all the drama and heartbreak, with steamy hot scenes and lots of medical terms!!!!
this was so cute and funny! such a great story and i’ll definitely read more of this author’s books. one thing i didn’t like but it’s a spoiler so i’ll keep my secret for now…
grace and carter were such great characters!! i’m so curious about the rest of the fitz family!!
read this if you like: -resident x attending -best friend’s brother -forced proximity -he falls first and hard
“She is a vision that stops my breath. That holds my heart. Never in a million years will I tire of her. She’s it. My one.”
“The girl whose siren-green eyes were my envision of death, had now become my paradise.“
i picked this book to end my slump. needles

“The girl whose siren-green eyes were my envision of death, had now become my paradise.“
i picked this book to end my slump. needless to say that it didn’t succeed. this wasn’t bad by any means, but in my opinion it was a little bit repetitive and predictable.
one thing i loved about this book was maria. such a refreshing fmc for a mafia dark romance—for once she wasn’t the classic innocent partner of a boss, she was a fucking assassin. 10/10
zach was okay i guess? i don’t dislike him but he didn’t give me enough to make me love him.
"You're my thorn, if you leave me I'll bleed out."
i gate-kept this because i didn’t know if it was worth my time. what i can tell

"You're my thorn, if you leave me I'll bleed out."
i gate-kept this because i didn’t know if it was worth my time. what i can tell you about this book is:
⁀➷ it’s kinda wattpad-ish—the characters are 17 years old (almost 18), the setting is the classic one (USA), troubled families, bad boy etc. (you get it) ⁀➷ it’s very fast paced, easy to read, perfect to cure a slump ⁀➷ the drama is sooooo american high schooler but it works. it keeps you interested (or at least it did the trick with me) ⁀➷ the characters are likable, but sometimes they pissed me off so bad, they’re kinda childish sometimes? ⁀➷ if you don’t like none of what i just mentioned, then this book is NOT for you
i think this cured my slump a little—i needed something light, entertaining, easy to read, toxic and with drama, and this book delivered exactly that.
"You need to walk away from me, Thorn–before I get addicted."
for those who don’t know: ╰┈➤ teagan just moved from cork to colorado after her uncle max accepted a position as a doctor in the US. she’s been living with her uncle max since her mom died in a car accident and her father was sent to jail. she just has to finish her last year of high school and move back to ireland to attend uni, she can do it right? nope! the boy next door is treacherous and violent—a criminal in the making but oh, he’s the kind of dangerous that it’s hard to stay away from.
"She's mine," he said in a deathly calm tone as he dragged my hips forward. "And I don’t share."
⁀➷ teagan connolly i think sometimes she should choose silence over opening her mouth just to give it fresh air. but overall, she’s okay! i liked her better in the second half of the book, that’s for sure.
“Teagan Connolly gave me hope every time she smiled at me, or cracked a joke or played me a song on her guitar. Confidence oozed from her. Her laugh was infectious. I was drawn to her aura. She was gorgeous, stunningly beautiful, but then so were a lot of girls. Looks were a lot of the hunt but they were never the catch. She was the catch. The whole package…”
⁀➷ noah messina noah is dangerous, violent and tormented. i feel like i know him on a deeper level. his dark past and what he has to endure make you feel for him.
"Noah Messina is all kinds of dark and dangerous, wrapped in the body of a sex god."
their chemistry is undeniable—you could literally feel the tension between them. they’re so toxic i loved their dynamics!!!
"How the hell did we get here?" "Get where?" Pressing his lips to my throat, Noah ran his tongue over my pulse. "To the point where I can't fucking breathe without you."
overall, i think that this book is nothing special but it worked for me. i’ll continue the series and see where this is going. onto the next!!...more
“There is a revolution coming, Brexley. And you are going to lead us straight into it.”
okay okay. this was way better than the first

“There is a revolution coming, Brexley. And you are going to lead us straight into it.”
okay okay. this was way better than the first two! i feel like many moments are repetitive but overall the plot got better—more interesting and captivating.
“You feel like fucking life. Like air in my lungs.”
i really like brex! i like slightly less warwick, but i do enjoy reading about opie and bitzy and ash! i love this new found family.
“Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.”
i’ll take a mini break from the series and then come back!!
“Hostages, friends, and some barely allies. At the center was me. The glue or a bomb.”
woah okay. this was better than the first one regarding the plot—more action picked, more ad
➼ 3.75★
“Sötét démonom. I was his dark demon.”
woah okay. this was better than the first one regarding the plot—more action picked, more addictive and intriguing; but it still has flaws. the main thing that bothered me was the rushed writing in many parts. while in the first book things were going slow, in this they went faster. that doesn’t mean this book is undeveloped, but it does feel like the author didn’t go in depth—didn’t explore more staying on a surfer level.
the first 50% was very rushed—we have brex being thrown around like a doll and we don’t even have time to meet the new characters (i don’t even know if they matter somehow) because she’s already going in another place.
the second half is slightly better, but still there are things that don’t make sense. here’s an example:
“How strange I had become so quickly bonded to a group of people I barely knew, while I had attacked others I had known almost all my life.”
see here? she’s saying she had become quickly bonded with group X but she stayed with them for half a day! it literally makes no sense.
“Now you are everywhere. In fucking everything.”
brex & warwick are likable. i got to know more of warwick but i feel like he has more secrets than a vault. i don’t mind neither of them so far!
“His blazing aqua eyes went straight on me. Looking directly into my eyes. Seeing me.”
overall, i definitely enjoyed this but i don’t feel like giving a higher rate. we finally got some answers but i still need more. can’t wait for what comes next. onto book 3!
