What makes AI systems different from traditional software?

In this chapter, we're going to set the groundwork for the rest of the course. We're going to discuss what the assets are, and what you need to worry about when you're threat modeling. On top of that, we're also going to assess why you even need to think about threat modeling AI differently than a traditional application. So before we get started, I want to talk about the owl problem. A lot of cybersecurity courses I take in my career, it has what I call the two steps to draw an owl. The first step to draw an owl is you draw three circles. In most books, this is basically the hello world, right? You just write that, you print the statement, looks great. But the problem is, when they do step two of that book, or step two of drawing the owl, what you get is, how do you draw the rest of the owl? Is you draw the rest of the owl.
