- [Instructor] Just like every other workbook element, you can edit and delete named ranges after you create them. You can also use the techniques that I'll show you in this movie to identify errors in your named ranges, and that is a great reason to either edit or delete them. My sample file is O3_O2 edit names, and you can find it in the chapter three folder of the exercise files collection. In this workbook, I have a single worksheet with yearly revenue and sales count. However, my sales team has reported that the average sale value that I calculate here is different from what they have in their records, so the goal is to identify the cause of the problem. The most common cause for this type of error is that one of the named ranges I'm using doesn't refer to the proper range of cells. One way to identify the cells that a range applies to is to go to the name box. It's here at the top left over the A column header. Click the down arrow and I'll click sales count.
