Without clarity about what success looks like, even the most capable team members can feel lost and unmotivated, which leads to performance problems. In this lesson, I'll show you how to create clear, measurable goals that drive alignment and accountability within your team. So let's first talk about vague expectations. Vagueness at work often leads to confusion, low engagement, limited potential, and poor results among employees. Vague expectations can also disproportionately impact people who aren't in the dominant racial or gender groups in your company. These team members may face exclusion or discrimination.
