What's your preferred method of icing a cookie? I only use flood consistency royal icing on the base layer of my cookies. I like to do it this way rather than piping a stiff outline first because I don't want to make two consistencies of the same color whenever I can avoid it! My flood consistency icing is 15-20 second count, which means that when you take a scoop of icing out of the bowl and drop it back in, it should take between 15-20 seconds to be completely smooth. I used a decorating tip number 77 to make tiny drop flowers for this lilac cookie platter 💜 This tip has an X shaped opening to make 4 petals.
