Connection (Purple)
This painting is the story of the stolen generation of the Australian Aboriginal People.
This is a Modern Stylised version of the Original.
It’s the re-connection to home, country, family and belonging.
Each group scattered across the outside of the canvas symbolises the stolen generation, as over time – some are fortunate enough to find there way back home (represented by the centre).
With the trails leading back to the centre symbolising their journey – some longer than others, and some still on that path – all filled with tears.
