"Still I Rise"
This vibrant phoenix was created by traumatic brain injury survivor Dan Koziol. Titled Still I Rise, it symbolizes resilience, healing, and the strength to begin again. After relearning how to write his name with a therapist’s guidance, Dan has found new ways to express himself through art.
One side of the phoenix appears different from the other—a quiet reflection of his own injury and recovery. This piece is more than a bold image of fire and flight. It’s a declaration of transformation. Of rising—changed, but still rising.
