Basic Description of the Eucharist B. Christ the Center
1. Basics of Catholic Faith in the Eucharist are  The center of the Eucharist as
presented in Vatican II’s Constitution on the Thanksgiving Worship is Christ, the

1. Essential goals of prayer:
a. Thanksgiving
b. Praise & Adoration
c. Contrition
d. Petition
e. Offering
2. Recognizing “The Eucharist as the source
and summit of the whole Christian life”
3. PCP II decreed that “the centrality of the
Eucharist in Catholic piety shall be given
greater emphasis.”
