HOW DOES THE
KADES WORK
• “Women Support Service (KADES)”, which will be
installed by a woman who is a smartphone user, on
Google Play Store and Apple Store, T.R. With the
application, which can be activated by entering the ID
Number and then with the activation code coming from
the EGM servers, women who are victims of domestic
violence and violence against women can reach the 155

continued as follows:
• "Actually, the KADES application, which has been
open as a pilot application since March, has been
downloaded by 24 thousand 584 people so far. 31
women who faced an emergency were notified and
the necessary intervention was made against the
notifications received. In cases in the police
responsibility area, the response time to the incident
was received. It's about 5 minutes on average."
What Does KADES Do?

 
The KADES application was developed in order to prevent violence against
women, which has increased in recent years, and to help women. Women
who have been subjected to violence by their spouses or someone else, or
who are likely to be exposed to violence, can quickly reach the Women's
Emergency Support Notification System, which was established for this job,
by making a notification via their smart phones.
Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu stated that with the KADES
application, they aim to prevent situations that may pose a risk
and threat to women and to shorten the response times in
emergency situations.

Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu said, "Thanks to this


application, our women can get help by reaching our law
enforcement units in the fastest way with a single touch in
case of any threat.’’
Explaining how the application works, Minister
Soylu continued as follows: ‘An emergency was
reported by women who faced an emergency, and
necessary intervention was made against the
notifications received. In cases in the police
responsibility area, the average response time is 5
minutes after the notification is received.’
Turkey switched to KADES in 2018 to prevent violence against
women. After France made an application similar to KADES,
Belgium started to use an application called 'Tele alarm’.

In this direction, the police teams are informed quickly with


the alarm button hidden in their clothes to protect the women.
The "tele alarm" application, which was first implemented in
the City of Ghent, has also started to be used in the Flemish
sector.
