hi,
My name is Abdujabbar Bozdar, and you are on my personal website. I am a C programmer. My hobbies are finding new technologies, reading non-fiction books, taking notes in a diary, and sharing them here. When not doing any of the above, I go to parks. I am just an ordinary person.
My high school teacher introduced me to C programming for the first time. Even I did not have a computer at home throughout the school days, I always sneaked into computer tutoring centres outside school to learn something new. This was because the school only taught basics of computer. Most of the students used to run paint brush only. My father had a Fox Pro book, which he used as a reference at work. The book in early 2000 drove me crazy.

Later on, I went on pursuing an undergraduate degree in electronics engineering and technology.
During undergraduate studies, I learned a lot of mathematics and object oriented programming. As an electronics student, hardware programming was part of the curriculum and that meant to program in Assembly and C languages. I had an interest in computer communications and networks, but now distributed applications fill up the gap. I also develop mini web applications using Ruby on Rails for family and friends for fun.
I use English as a fourth language. I am fluent in 5 languages, and Arabic is still not one of them unfortunately. Besides other hobbies, I love to listen to violin. I am not in school but still practice maths.
The Desktop Computing
I am fond of the UNIX systems. I have been a Linux user since 2006. Fedora is my primary operating system nowadays, because Fedora makes a programmer’s life easier. Software is always fresh. Gnome is never modified. It is an operating system of a style that prioritizes both the advanced features and stability.
My Computer Running Fedora Linux / September 2024
Although my first ever Linux distribution was Ubuntu 6.06.01 LTS until 22.04.02 LTS, I made the move in 2023 to Fedora 38. As Ubuntu was shipping a customised version of Gnome, I found it better to use Gnome on Fedora. It was the right decision. Fedora does not customise Gnome and ships the desktop environment as it is developed by the Gnome devs. Furthermore, the responsiveness of both Gnome and the KDE is epic under Fedora.
The Unity DE was better for Ubuntu. I even forgave the Canonical for their “amazon glitch”.
Debian runs our home computer, and my brother uses Linux Mint, which is the same free Ubuntu without snappy glitches. I use Raspbian on my Raspberry Pi boards, see what I use.
Besides the above, I like to read poetry and non-fiction books. I also love to read semi-fictional stories inspired by true events.
A photo worth a thousand words!
The worthiness of a photo is just one possibility out of a billion possibilities.
I organised a Linux Workshop at a school in my neighbourhood.
About The Website
I created this website to share my hobbies, make friends, and improve the writing skills. Therefore, you will find a mix of programming, technical, and personal blog posts here. This website helps me to own my social content. Jekyll is the engine behind the website which is built using the Ruby language. Jekyll is a static site generator, and it is really a fantastic one among many out there. I prefer Ruby for web programming over any other language.
I designed my website on top of the archived Tale theme for Jekyll. I used it as a foundation and extended it, as you see now. The fabulous designers at Icons8 are behind all the social icons on my website. I use GitLab’s CI/CD pipelines to push my site to NodeHost.ca.
I am still working on my website to implement some ActivityPub protocols.
