It's Almost Tomorrow!!

I'm late tonight, very late with my post. So it will be a quick one before it's tomorrow!!

The snow really started to go today...but, guess what..yep it's started to snow again tonight!!! Bah!!

I have been slow getting things together as I have had an "iffy" tummy (sounds like I'm five years old!). I don't know if it's a bug or something I ate but all day I have had a problem. Hopefully I will wake up in the morning and feel on top of the world, or that's the hope.

The latest on Charlie is he's found a new little friend...Lilly. I think it's a case of worship rather than friendship, lol!! Lilly takes his adoration in her stride..she would, she's still at the age when it hasn't occurred to her that not everyone is a member of her fan club. Have a look at what I mean.

It's a case of where you go I follow!!

But she soon got tired of all his attention and went back to Teddy!!

My little freebie today is a template which I hope someone can use. I have been trying to make some to use with my 365 Project photos but so far none that I have been happy with...I'll need to stick at it!

Anyway here's today's. The download includes a psd and png files.

You can download Template 01 here

I hope that life is being kind to you, it may be cold outside but remember...keep a little warmth in your heart..the world is not so bad.

See you tomorrow and take care!

It's Official - I'm a Wylde Woman!!

jsch_template21_freebie

Today's freebie is a template, it is in psd and png files to make it usable for more of you.

But first............this could be a long post, so grab the coffee/tea/juice etc and put your feet up...could be awkward doing that, so give the feet bit a miss! But get comfy!

First, yes it's official...I'm a Wylde woman! No, not the shouting, arm waving type.....it's for nice people! Ok, you ask..why give it to me! But seriously I got the award from the lovely Susie2shoes. I'm honoured that Susie thought of me, thank you so much Susie!

holly award

The Purpose of the Award: To send love and acknowledgment to women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy.

The rules are :-

1. You can give it to one or one hundred or any number in between - it's up to you. Make sure you link to their site in your post.

2. Link back to this blogsite (http://http://www.tammyvitale.com/) so Tammy can go visit all these wonderful women we've given it to.

So after some thought I would like to pass it to:

1. Kim of Kim's Scrapping as no matter how busy she is with her own life, she always has time to share and help others. Her generosity is amazing and I'm also honoured to count her as my friend.

2. Someone else that I feel deserves this award is Kat or Tragedy Anne, she is one lady with courage who often makes me smile when I feel down. Kat has taught me so much about people and of course advertising, lol! As you may be aware Kat has been very sick recently and I don't expect her to pass this on...but I wanted to give it to her to acknowledge the fact that she really deserves it.

3. My last one is Irene Alexeeva. When I first started scrapbooking  she was my inspiration, and still is. I love her work and I used to enjoy her chats. She is a truly talented designer and one who shares readily and takes such pleasure in her family and work. A lovely lady with real style!

That's me I'm done!! And now to scrapping! I have two new Paper packs in my shop at SDK and as usual they are 40% off for the first week. Each pack has 12 papers, not all are shown in the previews.

Mixed Medley Papers Volume 1 - 40% off this week at Scrappin Digi Kreations

JSCH_mixed2

Mixed Medley Papers Volume 2 - 40% off this week at Scrappin Digi Kreations

And no I haven't forgotten, the download for the template....

You can download the Template here

Here's a layout I made of the lovely Lilly using it. I made a little adaptation and didn't use the journaling box. I played around with the photos, first I made them black and white and then after a little more playing I gave them a tint. I like the effect it gave.

jsch_lilly_tint

On our last sunny day I had the paddling pool out and Lilly just loved the water!! She laugh and splashed and reminded me how little things we take for granted can bring such pleasure. I even smiled as I got soaked by her!! That girls a fast learner and it didn't take her long to workout that those plastic tubs were great for throwing water....at grandma!!

The cheek of her!!

I found out a bit more about those awful caterpillar. Susie told me that they can give you skin irritation if you touch them...yuck!! And Rachel told me they turn into big ugly moths...Tussock Moths. So I am going to scour the Internet for a picture of them to see what is going to be invading me next! I have this picture in my mind of my son being attacked by clouds of giant moths...best not tell him that though!! Lol!!

Well, I had best go and climb into my bed, it's really late her...in fact it's tomorrow already!! Bye for now and take care!

Template Freebie and a Little of Life's Magic!

jsch_template16

I haven't done a template for ages..so I thought I'd have one as my freebie today. The download is in psd and png files, so more of you can use it.

But first...........

Today my DH was at home and so we decided (OK, I decided) to escape to the forest for a walk..far away from everyone..just a little peace for an hour or two. So we left, me armed with my trusty camera and my DH with the bottles of water and a quick snack. As you can see our priorities are slightly different...his were on the food, mine were more on the soul food, lol! OK, he's practical..I was a little more.....less practical!!

The "forest" near us is the huge New Forest, a mixture of forest enclosures and open heath land. Not that it's new, its got it's name in the 11th century! We picked the heath land today as, yes, I blinked and the sun disappeared!! It was overcast with a stiff wind, so on went the jackets and off we went.

We'd agreed that we would take our time and just wander...we me taking the odd picture. I have to tell you I normally leave DH at home when I go on my forest rambles as I love to stop and look and take my pictures. Let's just say it was walk..stop,click,.. walk...stop, click. There were just so many beautiful things to see!! The ponies who run wild, highland cattle who had been turned out, flowers, insects, butterflies....and on and on!!

My poor DH tried hard to be patient but I would try a saints patience!! I think he almost lost it when I kept lying down on my tummy in the grass or wriggling into bushes...but he was really good and only politely enquired if we would have time to get back to the car before tea!! So many times he ended up wandering along talking to his shadow..me I had found a new delight and was happily looking and clicking, totally oblivious to the fact he had walked on. For a man not renowned for being tactful...he was brilliant!! Bless! He must have felt like he was out with a five year old, lol!

We did eventually make it back to the car before the search party was launched...and yes he did get his tea!! But...I just had to share some of the wonderful sites we saw. Here's just a taste...unedited, straight from the camera. Gosh the worlds a wonderful place..even on our own doorsteps!

100_2066

Look at that butterfly on the thistle..it looks like a leaf!

100_2033

The busy bee on the blackberry flowers

100_1955

The ragwort and heather

100_1999

The highland cattle having a drink

100_1975

And look at this incredible fungus!!!

100_2028

I could go on..but I'd better stop there! Just take it from me it was a delight to just slowdown and spot the little things going on around us. The things we could so easily walk past and miss. It's things like those that mend our souls!

Now I'll concentrate, I promise!! For those of you who would like the Template:

You can download the layered template here

And I had a wonderful surprise from the lovely Kim from Kim's Scrappin she made two wonderful layouts of the fantastic Miss Lilly for me and they are beautiful....look at the leg popping out of the frame!! Kim you did a marvelous job on these, thank you so much!!

The Lilly Diaries Part 1 and a CT Collab Kit!!

It's Monday Morning and I am posting this bright and early it's the start of the Lilly Diaries and also the CT Collab Kit, so lots in the post today!!

It was an early start as our little flower wokeup and made sure that grandma woke too!! Yesterday Lilly's mum and dad dropped her off and stayed to get her settled. They looked rather worried as they left...much more so than Lilly who continued to play happily. It didn't take her long to find out who was boss...her of course, lol!! She found a new game...grandma gives her toys on her tray...she looks, laughs..picks them up and one by one drops them over the side. Next shout at grandma...if she doesn't pick them up, shout some more until she does. She loved this game, it's got to be her favourite. When that naughty grandma gets the message and does as Lilly tells her she gets her reward of a HUGE smile and a gigle!! Cheeky madam!!! But seriously she (Lilly not grandma!) is a real little cutey, she has settled in well and even though it took her a while to settle last night, she slept through until 6.00am. So I can't complain. Today I am going to take her out in her pushchair to have a look around. No car today but we will go for a walk. Have a look at the photographs they show cheeky with lots of toys, then almost gone and then..last one going, but best of all her glee when she gets them back!! Not the best pictures in the world but some of the sweetest!!

"OOOh Loads of toys!!!"

"Look grandma...only one left!"

"If I do this quietly she won't notice...last one..now the fun!!"

"Hurrah!!! All back!! I knew she would fall for it, lol!!
Have you ever seen such joy!!
Mind you Lilly is not popular with all the family...my cat thinks she is a fiend from hell!! He runs past her and a cringes when she cries...the looks he gives her say "Oh my God...the aliens have landed!! This one looks dangerous!" He steers well clear of her. But he obviously feels that he needs to do something to get win back my straying affections....he went out hunting in the fields last night and brought his mum back a present...a rather large rat and left it down the garden as a special present...he knows better than bringing it close to the house!!! It was dead thank goodness!! So that's a job for my DH to move this morning...babies I do...rats no chance!!!
OK, now news of what's happening on the blog this week!! Some of the great girls on my CT Team have made you a May Collaboration Kit and during this week I'll be giving you the download links so that you can collect it all. This is the colour palette the girls worked with.

Template Freebie, Monday Challenge and New Stuff

It's Monday again and the weather here is awful!! Last night was a storm with lots of rain and high winds...made for a noisy night! Today it's still going and me, being such an intelligent little soul, took out the recycling paper to the bin. Bad idea... as you have to put it in loose, not in a bag. Well, that old wind had some fun....my garden looked like the local garbage tip!! I just wish I could have taken a picture of myself...running back and forth like something out of a bad comedy film, lol!! Got most of it...after a while...and the rest is laughing at me!! I see it out the window but every time I think I'll have an other go at catching it it takes off!! Grrr! Never mind I'll get the rest tomorrow. At least it seems to be staying in my garden (for the moment!) and not visiting my neighbours...a sure way to become popular!! Not!! Lol!

I have a freebie template for all of you and this Mondays challenge is to make a layout using it. All who take part in the challenge will get a posting bonus of the Ziggy Page Kit. So join in and play along and get an other freebie!! I used the template this morning to do a layout of my two nieces using last weeks Monday Challenge Posting Bonus.

You can use them for crumpled satin or play around and just make crumpled papers. Change the opacity, blending modes, fill etc and have fun!! The other two packs are for texture and they are a mix..so have a look, great for giving papers the texture they need. I have some patterned ones to go in next. I'll let you know when they go in the shop.

As an added bonus they are all at 40% off for the first week so if you want a bargain get them before the 17 March!!!!
