Code Review

This pull request updates google/cloud-datastore to the new major version v2.0.0. The most significant impact of this update is that it raises the minimum required PHP version to ^8.1, whereas the previous version supported ^7.1 and ^8.0. I have added a comment to composer.json to highlight this. I have reviewed the application code in pubsub/app/app.php and it appears to be compatible with the v2 API for the features it uses, so no code changes seem necessary. As a minor note for future improvement, DatastoreClient::deleteBatch() is deprecated in v2 and could be replaced with delete() when that file is next modified.

high

This major version update to v2.0.0 introduces a new minimum PHP version requirement of ^8.1. The previous v1.x versions supported PHP ^7.1 and ^8.0. This is a significant breaking change for any environments that are not yet on PHP 8.1+.
