These updates to the ABI documentation remove the usage of Latin abbreviations, per the Apple Style Guide. The following mapping was used:

Latin Translation
e.g. for example
etc. and so on
i.e. that is

My inclination is just to say no here. I see no reason to care about the Apple style guide in these docs, and the rule it's trying to impose here is arbitrary and silly. It's true that these abbreviations are derived from Latin, but all three of them are so common that they're just part of the language. "etc." is probably taught in elementary school, and "e.g." can't come much later.
