I am submitting

  • a new package
  • an update for a package

Description: CogSci template for submissions to the Annual Conference of the Cognitive Science Society.

I have read and followed the submission guidelines and, in particular, I

  • selected a name that isn't the most obvious or canonical name for what the package does
  • added a typst.toml file with all required keys
  • added a README.md with documentation for my package
  • have chosen a license and added a LICENSE file or linked one in my README.md
  • tested my package locally on my system and it worked
  • excluded PDFs or README images, if any, but not the LICENSE
  • ensured that my package is licensed such that users can use and distribute the contents of its template directory without restriction, after modifying them through normal use.

Seeing as the abbreviation "cogsci" is used quite widely as a label for things other than the Cognitive Science Society's Annual Conference, e.g. a general label for the field, in the title/shorthand of journals, various groups, websites, ..., perhaps the name of the package could be chosen so that it doesn't take the prime name for everything cognitive science (in line with the submission guidelines)? Maybe something like cogsci-am, css-cogsci, cogsci-conference, or the like?

Sure, I'll change it to cogsci-conference. Thanks for the suggestions.

(Fwiw, within cognitive science, "CogSci" without qualification strongly implies the conference and its proceedings. If any package should be named cogsci, it should probably be the proceedings template.)
