Ell's First Day!

In late August, this big girl started 1st grade! 

We're a month in now, and she's loving every second of it! 

Here she is the night before her first day. Her bestie, Emily, gifted her with this adorable book. It was just what she needed to set the tone for a GREAT year ahead. 

Ella could not wait to start the day!

Steph had her 1st day too. She was so brave walking into her Sophomore year at a new school, in a new country! I think I was more emotional than she was!

Ell is in my dear friend's class this year, and we're so thankful. 

Her sweet friend Valeria is in her class too. What a way to start 1st grade!

We can't wait to see what this year has in store for you. You have already blown us away in so many ways. We love you Ella Catherine!

SIX

On July 5th, this big girl turned 6.  

We had the BEST day, and she loved all of the celebrations with family and friends she had throughout her birthday week. She sure is one lucky be. 

I feel like I don't brag enough about Jose's family, and how much they do for Ella. Well, her birthday was no exception. They went all out. Who gets 6 pinatas for their birthday? This girl! We had a lovely afternoon eating yummy food, hitting open her pinatas, and enjoying her delicious cake. We sure do love you guys!! Thank you for making her birthday so special.

Off to Middle School

At the beginning of June, my handsome nephew promoted to middle school. I still can't believe it!

My Sis and her BF Roman had a beautiful luncheon to celebrate, and it was a perfect day.

I mean, look how handsome he is!

Here he is getting his promotion certificate. Garin received all A's this year and was honored with the presidents award. So proud of him!

Ell was struggling this day from a double ear infection and strep, but was a trooper and determined to celebrate her cousin. It helped to have all her grandparents around to cheer her up!

My Dad and Deb flew down of course! We were all very excited to have them here. 

Gracie(my sister's boyfriends daughter) also promoted. Aren't they just so adorable!

Gar Bear,

I was so excited the day I became your Auntie, and you've made me so proud every single day since. Keep believing in your dreams, working hard, and being the amazing young man you are. I love you so much buddy!!

Father's Day 2017

Happy Father's Day to the silliest, most loving, and attentive Dad I know. Being a Dada was definitely a job meant for you! I love watching you two together, whether you're wrestling, practicing soccer, or quietly playing "Big Brother" in her room, you always make time to bond with your favorite girl. Ell adores you, and we're so lucky you're ours.

Mrs. Slone,

You taught our girl all year, with patience, kindness, and love. She learned how to read and write! She discovered a deep joy for mathematics and feel deeper in love with science. You gave her choice, and time to discover new things. She learned the importance of kindness, and what it means to be a great friend. This class will always hold a special place in our hearts. We love you Mrs. Slone, and are so grateful for the role you've played in Ella's life. Her educational journey has only just begun, and we can't wait to see what lies ahead for our girl.
