So scrap https://wiki.php.net/rfc/reflection_doccomment_annotations and https://wiki.php.net/rfc/annotations-in-docblock as not being a appropriate way of handling this then! DocBlocks have a well defined format so hijacking them for other purposes as this thread is proposing is what is not helpful?
