git-commit-id-maven-plugin is a plugin quite similar to Build Number Maven Plugin for example but as the Build Number plugin at the time when I started this plugin only supported CVS and SVN, something had to be done. I had to quickly develop a Git version of such a plugin. For those who don't know the plugin, it basically helps you with the following tasks and answers related questions. The plugin is available from Maven Central (see here), so you don't have to configure any additional repositories to use this plugin. A detailed description of using the plugin is available in the Using the plugin document. All you need to do in the basic setup is to include that plugin definition in your pom.xml. For more advanced users we also prepared a guide to provide a brief overview of the more advanced configurations. Even though this plugin tries to be compatible with every Maven version there are some known limitations with specific versions.

StatSVN is a metrics-analysis tool for charting software evolution through analysis of Subversion source repositories.

Gitblit is an open-source, pure Java stack for managing, viewing, and serving Git repositories. It's designed primarily as a tool for small workgroups who want to host centralized repositories. Gitblit GO is an integrated, single-stack solution based on Jetty. You do not need Apache httpd, Perl, Git, or Gitweb. Should you want to use some or all of those, you still can; Gitblit plays nice with the other kids on the block. This is what you should download if you want to go from zero to Git in less than 5 mins. Gitblit WAR is what you should download if you already have a servlet container available that you wish to use. Jetty 6/7/8 and Tomcat 6/7 are known to work. Generally, any Servlet 2.5 or Servlet 3.0 container should work. Gitblit can be used as a dumb repository viewer with no administrative controls or user accounts. Gitblit can be used as a complete Git stack for cloning, pushing, and repository access control.

Eclipse's Subversive plug-ins allow usage of the Subversion version control from within your Eclipse workspace, however these plug-ins require a SVN connector in order to work. This connector is based on the SVKit toolkit, which in itslef is a pure Java based SVN library. Apart from offering Subversion functionality this connector also allows you to extend and plugin your own custom conflict resolution handler, using Eclipse's extension points. Decodes PeopleCode (the proprietary language in Oracle's PeopleSoft ERP software) from bytecode to text. Stores the code in text files, or commits it to a Subversion or Git version control system. Can also extract PeopleCode and SQL text from PeopleTools .xml project files, and does three-way merging of PeopleCode (to reapply customizations during an upgrade).

StatCVS generates HTML reports from CVS repository logs. The reports give developers and project managers insight into the evolution of the code base and individual contributions. StatCVS is a command line application and written in Java.

External diff Tool is an Eclipse plugin that allows the launch of an external diff tool for file compares rather than the default built-in Eclipse diff tool. This plugin doesn't replace the built-in Eclipse tool. It only adds a new menu item to the GUI.

Eclipse Version Tree Plugin is an easy to use, graphical version tree for project artifacts hosted in a CVS repository. It is a graphical replacment for Eclipse resource history. BeyondCVS is an Eclipe plug-in that enables using Beyond Compare (externally) for comparing files and folders. It also allows comparing a single file to a previous revision in CVS/SVN or Local History. There is also support for opening Putty and WinSCP.

Bloof is an infrastructure for analytical processing of version control data. The main distribution provides a GUI for visualizing the evolution of a software project. External tools can access Bloof via Java API and a XML result mechanism.

The goal of this project is to create an extension to Subversion, a version control system, with database schema versioning support. As a result, it will be possible to control versions of relational database objects, such as tables, views or stored procedures together with source code of the application, hence monitor relation between source code and database schema changes, history of database schema changes and ability to automatically update a newer, or revert to an older revision. Currently, the client supports PostgreSQL and MySQL database systems. Emphasis is put on the client to be extensible, though, so it is possible to implement a connector for another database system.
