Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why don't I care about the Artemis mission/program?
251·8 days agoI don’t care because it doesn’t seem like a genuine mission to prove something. It feels like a purely political stunt. At least with the original mission, it was breaking a frontier on top of trying ot show off to Russia during the Cold War, but this time it’s only the US flexing as mandated by the Orangegutan in Charge because he can and it feels icky.

62·8 days agoAgain? This was well documented by Jane Goodall in her books from 50 years ago.
Sandel and his colleagues said their findings encourage people to rethink what they know of human conflict and warfare.
Not this annoying bullshit every time. I blame this stupid ass establishment needing to justify funding by circling back everything for our convenience. Can we not appreciate nature for what it is for once?
That was a criminal guinea pig! The threat has been neutralized. A fine job well done.

7·8 days agoThis works so well. I’ve been on the receiving end of that, and I wanted more than nothing more than to help resolve their issue. I felt acknowledged and validated, and wanted nothing but to return the favor. Do this.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What unethical life hack would you recommend to others?
10·8 days agoI’ve tried this, and it doesn’t work. If you’re not average-looking enough, the receptionists will be suspicious of you and ask you to name your room number and who you were with. Just ask to borrow a charger in a pinch so you can get 5% battery or something.

7·8 days agoNo, it’ll backfire spectacularly, and I’ve lived it. When someone’s a habitual liar, people will get accustomed to them and nobody bats an eye. But if you’re always honest and one day you fuck up and they find out, word will spread, the rumor will grow, and it’ll create a bigger ripple. You’d have broken a realiance where people will feel the need to adjust their views on you.
Why does a sausage have a serial number?? Damn, Germany, you scary.
