Actionable patent intelligence for all
Patent intelligence is essential to turning new technologies into economic impact. The digital patent intelligence tools developed inhouse for the EPO Observatory for Patents and Technology are designed to strengthen the European innovation ecosystem by making actionable patent information more readily available to all and connecting inventors, investors, universities, public research organisations, SMEs and industry.
The newly launched Data Desk provides a gateway to EPO patent intelligence tools, including the continuously expanding Deep Tech Finder. In addition, several technology platforms are available, covering areas such as lifesaving cancer-combatting and firefighting technologies, quantum technologies, and clean technologies for energy sovereignty and security. These platforms make it easier for scientists, researchers and the general public to explore Espacenet, the EPO’s database of over 170 million patent documents.
