Tier 6 is not fun.  The seeking function stops the ship in front of the "motes" and refuses to run over them if you didn't start out heading straight for them, but then your mouse is constantly out-of-alignment with whatever the random direction of travel was to the next one is, and you can't even manually fire a lazer any more to get it. It wouldn't be such a big deal for a little while, but the amount you have to grind to get to tier 7 wastes an hour with no real benefit for the player in the grinding.

(+1)

Yeah it was a placeholder. I was trying to bridge the gap between star systems and galaxies with something meaningful in between. I've already made the decision to get rid of it. It can't be made to work. It's toast.

(1 edit) (+2)

#1 How do I repair the ship after buying the max armor upgrade? (the auto-navigate repeatedly parks the ship inside the stars, not healthy)

#2 How do I shoot down those annoying but insignificant pirates? (I have a star-eater beam, stop pestering me you annoying insect or I will beam YOU!)

On (1) I want to do a drydock mechanic with a bit of a tech tree that acts like Space Station Commander (which is completely concerned with repairing and servicing ships). I don't have a good design for this part of the game yet. For now pop into Debug and push the hull to full (there's a button)

For (2) I designed this to be a low-aggression game so you outrun the Pirate or retreat to a zone around stations to scare them off.

Unrelated, since you're checking the game out I just want to flag I'm going to drop Tier 6 entirely, since the Galaxy harvesting tier is the same mechanic.

I've added a wingman escort you can hire to repel piracy. I think it strikes the right balance. We'll see through testing.

Also added hull repair at stations. Still keen to add a drydock mechanic. Maybe later.

Per the instructions, click and hold to mine.

Clicking, clicking and holding, landing on, flying nearby, etc all do nothing to asteroids on Android/DuckDuckGo browser.

Can't get far in an incremental game when you can't acquire currency.

I think I'll enable auto-laser by default. The alternative is lock your ship's motion (tap on the ship for this). But I think you're right, peeking around your finger to see what's under it isn't fun either.

I can lock on top of or next to an asteroid, but either way holding down (or clicking) on the asteroid doesn't do any mining.

I agree that precision clicking on a phone/tablet with a game running in real time can get irritating, and auto lasers sound like a good way around that, but at present screen visibility is a moot issue. No mining is possible, at all, in the OS/Browser combination I'm working with.

Did you test mobile functioning with a computer via a compatibility mode? Most languages have different calls for different HID inputs, it's possible the mining function(s) are looking for mouse input specifically, which a test on the computer might miss.

Give it a go again when you have a chance

I'll work on collapsing the info panels this week

It's working now - I had to go through the debug options and force a hard reset, my save game must have been carrying the legacy issue forward into the new updates.

New build posted with autolaser enabled.
