The internet would be a better place if you weren’t here
Hard to imagine a shittier thing someone could do in a comic thread
I could see it being touched up by an LLM, but it doesn’t feel like it started as an LLM generation
I read the whole letter, I don’t really see any of the it’s not x, it’s y shape. I’ve unfortunately had to read a lot of AI generated content due to the nature of my work, and this letter really doesn’t sound like it to me. The em dashes are very present, but not really used in the places AI likes to use them.
I was as well. Put off buying it for years, as I am the patient gamer who waits for deals. I caved after playing Satisfactory and still having the itch to build factories
I think it’s cute, but I cannot agree with selective breeding for defects, so I would never own one

The inclusion of Indigo was hotly debated for a few hundred years, apparently not everyone can see 7 colors in the rainbow, only 6. It’s a (mildly) interesting story worth looking into. As for the order, yeah he really fucked up
Yeah, I was going to say that this is the bare minimum of public decency, if you don’t think this is normal behavior you are a plague on this earth.
Pannenkoek has so many sm64 videos covering the most niche topics, you’ve got plenty of content there if you are hearing of him for the first time
The only missing ones these days are consoles, since they have proprietary codebases that Godot doesn’t support. There are companies/tools you can pay for to port them over, but those are really expensive ($800/year for the most popular one)
Language isn’t set in stone, and when people use the term “algorithm” when referring to the system in place that decides what content is put in front of them, people understand what they mean. No one gets this algorithm mixed up with the math/computer science term algorithm.
The discord one is slightly different, but I’d argue it isn’t that harmful, as Discord “servers” function effectively as a server from a user point of view. The only problem with this nomenclature is that it somewhat implies to a layperson that there is some form of privacy/security in place, which there isn’t.
A pedant’s job is never done, huh?
Boy, I haven’t thought of Lofty Pursuits in a long time

1·2 months agoI recently switched from 320kbps to lossless, and there are very few moments where I can tell a difference. The biggest one is in the cover of “Tom’s Diner” by AnnenMayKantereit. There’s a section of the song at 320kbps where it goes almost silent, other than faint whispers of the band counting out the silence, but in lossless you can hear them actually singing the song quietly

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What Fediverse instances would you recommend to others?
9·2 months agoI live in the PNW. I picked an instance in the PNW. Sometimes I see local news, and often I read comments from people within a few hour drive. It’s nice to have a small, local community here, while still having access to the rest of the world together. So I guess recommend picking the largest instance in your region if you don’t have any other preferences.

There are free and open source messenger apps for those that care. The one I use is Fossify Messenger, and it’s fairly bare bones but I’m not really a texting power user, so it’s perfectly fine for my use case
