"It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
We've come a long way from where we began
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again".
This song has been playing in my mind ever since.
Daadi, you are loved and inspired by all those lives you have touched. Your humbleness and charisma is unmatched. A great colleague and even a greater friend. You are the best of the very best kind of human beings. You are a different "Breed" all together. You will be missed forever buddy.
May Allah grant you the highest rank in Jannatul Firdhaus, Aameen.
Daadi : A joyful human being filled with a loving personality and a brilliant creative mind. His untimely departure has created an unreplaceable vaccum in all our lives. May Allah bless him with jannatul firdaous.
Daadi was someone I admired for his professionalism and technical ability and work ethic. I trusted him deeply as he always delivered on his workplan and succesfully completed the projects assigned. Someone who set a very high standard for himself and was always uptodate with the most recent tech trends. He was so full of life, enjoying his work also his hobbies like travelling to unique destinations and experiencing new food.A joyful person who was always ready to help his workmates and friends too..We have lost not only someone of great intellect but also someone who motivated others to excell and be like him. Gone too soon, but did so much during his time..Thankyou daadi, your legacy will live on for ever as you have left such a valuable footprint in this world.
I was working as MD at Allied Insurance when I first met Riyazi (Daadi) in 2001 when he joined as Admin Officer.
He was a keen kind and committed young lad who proved to be an invaluable gem for Allied as well as all of us.
From the start we sensed he was far ahead of his time and his kindness and creativity won EVERYONE over.
Just like everyone else I had very high expectations of him - and he lived up & beyond! He was a beacon & a shining star that guided many an employee & countless friends.
Daadi will be missed dearly - gone too soon.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness dedication drive & thirst for knowledge & innovation for his friends & followers of which I am one.
It was certainly a shock to hear of Daadi passing away so suddenly, on Sunday 23rd January and I strongly felt the need to join his janaaza.
And I WAS fortunate enough to pay my last respects to Riyazi on Wednesday 26th January. The wheel turns full circle 21 years later (2001-2022 - the Allied connection).
May Allah grant Riyazi eternal peace in Jannat and give strength to his friends and family at this time of profound grief. Ameen.
It is with a very heavy heart that I have to say that I lost a great friend and a beautiful human being. Daadi is Daadi; there is no one like him and no one can be compared to him. Always greets you with the warmest smiles, always down to earth and always supportive. I'm no tech guy but we always have a common ground to talk and laugh because of our love for strong coffee, art and music.
Daadi is among the few with whom I share my artwork because he has always been very supportive. I will treasure all the fun times we had. You will be greatly missed. May Allah s.w.a have mercy on him and grant him the highest level of Jannah and give patience to his family and friends. Ameen
We lost a great leader, a colleague, a mentor and a close friend. It was a pleasure working with him and be a part of his journey in allied and in his life.
He had a unique skills sets , always promotes self improvement and growth by learning and adopting new ways through technology. He listen to people ideas , guide and motive them to do difficult things simple and faster. He always keep his team mates motivated His contribution to allied are immense specially in Development of Information Systems and software development. He was the mastermind behind of Allied’s Technology driven approach.
His charismatic ,fun loving and caring, humble and simple approach at work makes us inspire him and motivate others around him. We learn so much from him in so much less time.
DAADI is not just a name, Its an inspiration, a motivation, an idea , a story, which be told in generation to come, his legacy will be cherished and DAADI will live in our hearts forever .
May his soul rest in peace and may god grant him the highest rank of Jannathul Firdous
I’ve had the privilege of working with Daadi for all of my career. Starting all the way back in 2005, from just the 2 of us in Allied’s IT, to creating the dream team of sys-admins and devs. From just formatting some old computers, to building out innovative tech solutions that was revolutionary in our industry.
From humble beginnings to the award-winning achievements, he has been the source of motivation and guidance for us all during that time. All the while making sure that it was exciting, and we were having fun.
He was a leader who knew how to bring everyone together with his drive and made us all valued with his kindness. He was that friend you could go for great advice anytime and brings out a huge smile when you meet. He was the guy who brought a lot of joy around him, be it having breakfast in the tea room or laughing it out at gatherings and events.
It’s saddening to know that he’s gone, but I’ll never forget the huge impact he had on our lives. It takes a really special person to be able to do that. Daadi, is that special person to us all.
Much love to you Daadi, will miss you always. 💙
Daadi was a great human being, full of wisdom, the BEST FRIEND anyone can have, a resourceful colleague and a visionary leader. All the technologies and innovation we have in Allied is because of Daadi. We set up our first server room, our first IT department, created Information Systems and develop various applications in-house with hi initiation and leadership. He changed the working culture in Allied, which later spread across the IT community in the country. He transformed Allied into a tech-lead company. He had plans for Allied but he had bigger plans in his career. Things were not as we planned. But you made huge difference in all your projects and to the lives of people you have met.
I just want say thank you Daadi for leaving your wonderful memories with us. We will miss you always but DAADINESS will be with us forever.
It was a joy to work with Daadi and his memory and impact will always be felt here with us. Daadi will always be in our hearts and memories.
My friend and mentor. Will be desperately missed. May Allah grant him eternal Heaven. “See you Again”
Our collaboration together to the betterment of the company as colleagues is my most cherished working experience. I’ve never ever known a boss like you. I remember when I would be working on a project late at night and you would suddenly call and drop by and ensure that I had eaten. You would force me to take a break. I remember when you gave me my first promotion, how you fought to give me a better future. I never ever had to ask. Your desire to ensure that hard work never goes rewarded for others. I remember how we created the products services and promotions. How we took the country by storm with our ads and our special events we held together that marked us as serious players in the industry.
I remember our trips together. Travelling with you was rewarding and exciting because you would want me to enjoy as much as I trained and worked. Your enthusiasm to experience local delicacies to your unselfish habit of sharing time to ensure I had the best experience of every country we went to. I remember how you would want me to live life to the fullest every time.
I remember the respect and love you gave my family, to my wife and my children. You knew what family meant to me, and that was due to the amazing familial values you had inside of you. What would surprise most people is how unselfish and how aware you were to those less fortunate than you. You would always understand. And you would always back me up.
I can’t put in to words how much I will miss you. You were somebody I would always look forward to. Today it hurts so badly that I can’t ever look forward to talking to you again. This void that you have left in me and many others will never be replaced.
I am thankful that I had the opportunity to work with you, to call you my friend and my brother. You were the best of us. Ahmed Riyazi Mohamed
May Almighty Allah forgive your sins and bless you with eternal paradise. Aameen.
Boss and a dear friend, who made the work environment full of life & so much fun. At work, you were the answer to all the problems. Your actions inspired me to learn more, do more and become more. You were a true leader. The coolest & the smartest of all. You are impossible to forget. Our streak or freak group would not be the same without you. Will miss you immensely!
You were one of a kind Daadi! Awesome friend, the best mentor and colleague anyone could ask for. Holding on to the wonderful times.. Memories will be treasured and you will be missed dearly everyday ❤️
Met him in NZ and went to Uni with him, always ready to explore food, experience and ready to go. Fortunate to work with him in Exco positive and ready to go. Reethi GM he is. everyone loved him. Will miss him. May Allah bless you Jannah.
As a colleague Daadi was the best, one of a kind who carried a constant positive aura around him.
A smile that had never faded through out our work life. A brilliant mind that had foreseen opportunities and improvements .
A friend who believe and respect your opinions. A good listener who takes time and help you to solutions. A person you can always rely on.
An absolute example of a gentle man. A person you feel lucky to have known.
A person who left us in 😢, and big void in our hearts. 💔
May there be peace upon him and be blessed with Jannathul Firdause.
You maybe gone from our sight. But you are never gone from our heart.
I've known Daadi since I joined Allied. It's been almost 2 decades since then. He is such an amazing human being which i admire for his great qualities both professional and personal and always looked up to him for inspiration. I know the old batch of allied will always remember him. It was hard to bear on untimely and sudden death of Daadi. Really sad that Daadi has gone but he will not be forgotten and will always be in our hearts. may his soul rest in peace in heaven.
Will always remember your kind smile and aspiring nature Daadi. May you rest in peace.
I first met Daadi, somewhere around 2005 / 2006. It was regarding an IT project which he consulted on and let me say, his input was the KEY for the successful implementation of the system. Simply brilliant man at his work. After over a decade I joined Allied. If I remember correctly, I first met Daadi in the 5th floor lobby and he recognized me even though it was just couple meetings we had 10+ years back. Such a humble and wonderful person he was. We have lost a great leader, a friend. He will be dearly missed. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him highest rank of Jannah. Ameen.
Daadi, you casted your net wide and we were the lucky ones—to have known you each of us is better for it. My dear beautiful and brilliant friend, you will forever live in our memory with love and kindness. ‘A life that touches others lives on forever’. Rest well my dear friend.
Daadi, a humble and friendly person. Always with a smile. Will always remember him. May Allah grant him Jannatul-Firdaus.
Daadi was there with Shaabe in my first Allied interview, which was 15 years back even now i still remember how down-to-earth person he was even from my very first days at Allied….just after the interview he asked me to come with him see the office. May Allah grant him Jannathul firdhous, Aameen
Dear Daadi, It was a pleasure and privilege to have worked with you. Remember when Manoj used to call you "The Riyazi". Kind of rings too. You have such a huge energy of positivity and enthusiasm. When I turned 30, I took a moment to look back at my career and I thought, "What has been my failures?" and I couldn't come up with anything. So I kept thinking and thinking and something came to mind. I had gone on annual leave, but before I left, I had actually committed a mistake. But when I came back, you jokingly explained what had happened to me with your big smile on your face. It never registered so negatively in my mind because of the way you handled it. You always took care of your staff with a huge smile and always looked out for us. As most people who worked for you says "You're the best boss I've ever worked with". Glad to have met you one last time on one of your recent visits. I will miss you.
One of the most humble person I have met in my life. Not only on work matters, but on personal occasions he helped me out too. When i was building my first gaming computer, he was the one who guided me through the whole process, as if he was doing it for himself. Looking at the hierarchy difference at work and me being a newly joined staff, he didn’t make me feel the difference in our levels at all. He helped me out like an older brother. Will be missed dearly. No words can describe the positive impact he had on everyone. May Allah forgive him for all his sins and grant him the highest rank of Jannah. in sha Allah.
Daadi’s the most brilliant, inspiring and the humblest leader I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I’m ever so grateful to have been a member of his team, for he not only motivated us to grow but also counseled in our best interest. Sending much strength to his dear family and friends at this time of great loss. May YOU LIVE through all the difference you’ve made in the world. Rest In Peace!
You remind me of a quote that I love - “Be so happy that when others look at you, they become happy too”. You are the definition of it! You are such an extraordinary force of energy, enthusiasm & brilliance, so full of life… that’s just so contagious. I’d always remember that brightest smile that you wear always, that just lights up the room or any day. A privilege to have known you Daadi, as a excellent colleague & friend. May the eternal peace & blessings of Allah (swt) be with you always. Loved & Missed.
Daadi was a brilliant yet humble person, a mentor and a friend. He will be dearly missed. May Allah grant him Jannatul-Firdaus
"Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force." – Yoda, Star Wars: Episode III : Revenge of the Sith
Thanks for all you gave. I will always remember you as a beautiful soul, a great mentor and a true Jedi Master. Miss you I will.
Daadi was a kind, humble and above all a selfless leader. He was a tech visionary who lead his team with love and compassion. He loved his team a lot and always wanted them to achieve so many great things. Whatever he wanted to do, he would get it done no matter what the situation was. There’s this saying which goes by, actions speak louder than voice and indeed his actions were louder than his words in everything he encountered. He always had the most unique brain, creative mind and the most kindest heart. I hope we can follow his footsteps in the things we do and just like him, dedicate ourselves in what we love. Maybe that’s how we can achieve more greater things in life. He will be remembered to the deepest and its a loss that can never be mended. Rest easy Daadi. May Allah s.w.t. grant him Jannatul-Firdaus and forgive his sins. Ameen.
He was such an inspiring leader for all of us. Will definitely miss his presence and the caring smile always. May Allah SWT grant him Jannathul Firdaus and may he rest in peace
Very few people would know how Daadi contributed to the tech scene in the Maldives. But almost every one would now see the effects of his contributions. The best IT manager any company in Maldives ever had. Will miss him a lot. He was truly a visionary, brilliant mind and kind soul.
He was an excellent figure to lookup to in the tech Industry. Best Manager I ever had. Crazy innovative idea's was one of the best thing I have seen from him and he is a good listener too. Very helpful in many ways.
Daadi! its even hard to address the name now. Me and Daadi shared the same birthday and I was always proud to be wished together with such a great human being. From the start of my Allied life I always looked up to him as he was such an inspiration. "Thinking out of the box " for me this phrase has always been him. My last conversation with Daadi was before he resigned, he saw the list of photographs of staff I keep on my desk and said "Daadi ge ves photo eh dheynan ingey thithaa baindhan". The photo still there on my desk will now be the memory I will cherish.
You empowered us with the power of knowledge. You motivated us with the best guidance. You helped us move ahead with unending motivation. As a leader and a human being you are a true inspiration.
No matter what I say, I can never bring you back in life. I just want to pray to God so he keeps you in the best place in heaven. No grief is greater than the departure of such a kind man as him. I know it is our last goodbye. But Daadi, you will always be in my heart. Rest in peace! loabivey vara. May Allah grant Riyazi eternal peace in Jannat and give strength to his friends and family at this time of profound grief. Ameen.
He was the best leader I could have ever worked with. Away from work a great friend and an awesome person to anyone he met. His selfless acts will always be remembered. He will be in our duas. Miss him. Its been a long day without you my friend.

I had the privilege of working closely with Daadi on a project. I learned a lot from him and he was very approachable and helpful throughout. He will always be someone I look up to. Bless you Daadi.
Daadi always greeted us with a smile. No matter how life or work was going, there was no situation he didn't make better, simply by being there to listen and lend his ideas. His personality, enthusiasm and creativity left us inspired.
You carve your name on hearts, not tombstones. A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you. May your soul be rest in peace.
One of the best bosses that I have had the privilege to work with. Daadi's vision, experience and guidance has been invaluable, both in Allied and on other opportunities that I have had after Allied. He was truly a gem of a human being. His wisdom, guidance and the ever present smile will be greatly missed.
I did not get the pleasure of working with Daadi, but since I joined Allied in 2019, it is uncommon to go even a month without hearing about him. It's clear that he was truly a man before his time, and the legacy he has left here, though his journey was cut short, will never be forgotten.
So sad to hear the heartbreaking news of the passing of Daadi. He was an inspiration to so many. He was the best and will never be forgotten. Deepest condolences to family and friends. May he rest in peace.
Daadi is an inspiration and a mentor to many of us. A person who have contributed hugely to the development of my career. He will be missed and forever remembered.
Thinking about the days he works here in Allied, always remember him with a beautiful smile on his face, humble ways he talks to his superiors and subordinates. Enthusiasm for any work you do is an example for all of us here. You always bring positive vibes and help others. It is difficult to express the feeling how I felt after hearing the news that you have left us too soon. For sure, Allied family is so proud of you. Will miss you dearly. Your memories will always be treasured, and you will always be in my prayers. May Allah bless your soul and grant you Jannat-ul-Firdous.
I have never met Daadi in my life. But i have always heard only good things about him. How great of a boss he was, how much of an impact he made on my coworkers. I have seen so many pictures of him and all i noticed was, no matter how big of a crowd, his smile was always the brightest! I wish i had met him and known him at some point in life. All i have are good thoughts and prayers for him. For someone who has made such a huge impact on so many people. May he be granted jannah!
Daadi ❤️ One true hero and a kind soul who have impacted our life in so many positive ways. I was his last hire to IS and I reached after he left . Despite the fact that he was not at Allied, he continuously checked in on me and assured me of his presence. "Hey, how are you doing!" he sends out at random. I've heard you're doing well." A great mentor who inspired many and encouraged to do better and advices me to value PEOPLE. He will be remembered for the best hugs, loving people in amazing ways, bringing people together and his effort and vision on technology.
May Allah (SWT) forgive his sins, expand and illuminate his grave with his blessings and grant him Jannatul - Firdaus. Ameen
May the 4th be with you, Always — Daadi.
Daadi was such a wonderful person. Never ever saw him without his infectious smile. One memory I will always cherish is how he would always snap my favorite iced tea drink whenever he came across grocery stores in Malay. I will miss you Daadi. Will remember you always!!
I did not get the pleasure of working with Daadi, but since I joined Allied in 2019, it is uncommon to go even a month without hearing about him. It's clear that he was truly a man before his time, and the legacy he has left here, though his journey was cut short, will never be forgotten.
Daadi, a personality I heard of often since joining Allied. He was noted as innovative and down to earth, of a cheerful but warm character. I may not have had the chance to meet him, but he will certainly always be remembered. May you rest in power, Daadi.
