Hi there! I'm Anudeep Samaiya๐
Backend Engineer who loves building things that scale
๐ Based in Bengaluru, India
What I Do
I'm a backend engineer focused on solving complex problems at scale. My work centers on designing resilient systems, optimizing databases that handle millions of records, and establishing technical strategies that balance performance, reliability, and maintainability.
I've built my expertise primarily with Python and Django, while expanding into Go for high-performance services. My focus is on creating systems that remain stable under load and scale efficiently as requirements evolve.
Backend Systems
Architecting scalable backend systems and microservices with Python, Django, FastAPI, and Go
Data Engineering
Designing ETL pipelines and data infrastructure with Celery, Kafka, and distributed processing systems
Performance & Databases
PostgreSQL optimization, Redis caching strategies, and database architecture for high-throughput systems
DevOps & Cloud
AWS infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes orchestration, and CI/CD pipeline design for reliable deployments
What I'm Learning Right Now ๐ฑ
I believe in learning continuously (it's the best part of being an engineer!). Here's what's keeping me busy lately:
- ๐ฆ Rust - Because sometimes you need that extra performance boost and memory safety without the headaches
- ๐ฅ Performance Testing - Getting deep into Locust to see how systems behave under pressure
- ๐๏ธ System Design - Always learning new patterns and approaches to building distributed systems
Open Source & Writing โ๏ธ
- ๐ค Contributing to open source projects and open to technical collaborations
- ๐ Writing about system design, backend architecture, and technical lessons learned
- ๐ก Interested in discussions around Python, Celery, PostgreSQL, and distributed systems

When I'm Not Coding ๐ฏ
When I step away from the screen, I like to keep moving. You'll often find me ๐ running through Bengaluru, chasing that elusive sub-30 minute 5Kโthere's something meditative about the rhythm of a good run that helps clear my head.
At home, I enjoy solving puzzles, both literal and figurative. My ๐งฉ Rubik's Cube sits on my desk (current PB: just under 3 minutes), I play โ๏ธ chess whenever I can, and there's always a ๐ข Sudoku puzzle waiting to be solved. When I'm not puzzling, I'm usually working through a ๐ good bookโsomething about economics, math, or ideas that make me see the world differently.
I'm also slowly learning ๐ธ guitar, one chord at a time. And when the weather's nice, I love hopping on my bike and ๐ด exploring new routes around the cityโit's my favorite way to discover hidden corners of Bengaluru.
