All trademarks mentioned are the property of their respective owners. "NuGet" is referenced only to describe the publicly available website this Actor collects data from.

Search NuGet or look up .NET packages by id and get clean rows: total downloads, latest version, authors, owners, tags, verified flag, package types, version count and project / license / icon URLs. Built on the official NuGet search API - no API key, no browser, no proxy. Run one search or import a file of package ids.

What you get per package

FieldMeaning
id / version / titlePackage id, latest version and display title
description / summaryFull description and (legacy) summary
totalDownloads / verifiedTotal downloads and the verified-owner flag
authors / ownersAuthor and owner lists
tags / packageTypesSearch tags and package types (Dependency, Template, ...)
projectUrl / licenseUrl / iconUrlProject, license and icon URLs
versionCount / registrationUrl / packageUrlNumber of versions, registration index and the nuget.org page

Input

{ "searchQueries": ["logging", "json"], "maxItemsPerQuery": 50 }
  • Search terms - one per line (e.g. json, logging, orm).
  • Package ids - fetch exact packages (e.g. Newtonsoft.Json, Serilog).
  • Include prerelease - set prerelease to include beta / rc packages.
  • Import from a file - paste a list, or link a public .txt/.csv, a Google Sheet/Drive link, or an Apify key-value-store record.
  • Output fields - trim every record to exactly the columns you need.

Leave everything empty and the run returns a small free sample so you can see the shape first.

Reliability

Reads the official NuGet SearchQueryService with automatic failover between its two hosts - no key, no proxy, no anti-bot. A search that returns nothing, an unknown package id, or an import that cannot be read bills $0 and says why.

Honest limits

  • summary is a legacy field - modern packages fill description and leave summary empty; an honest null/empty when the publisher set none (probed 2026-08-15). description is populated on essentially every package.
  • totalDownloads is NuGet's own aggregate across all versions of the package.
  • Results are relevance-ranked by NuGet - the search service orders by its own relevance, not a caller-chosen sort.

Pricing

$0.001 per package on the FREE tier (tiered pricing lowers it with volume). Only packages actually saved are billed; empty searches, unknown ids and unreadable imports cost nothing.

Output views

  • Packages - id, version, description, total downloads, verified flag and project URL.

Use with AI assistants (MCP)

Available through the Apify MCP server - an agent can find the most-downloaded .NET library for a task, check whether a package is owner-verified, or enrich a list of package ids with versions and project links in one call.

Agent-ready: autonomous payments (x402 & Skyfire)

This actor is agent-ready - AI agents can discover it, run it, and pay for it autonomously, with no Apify account and no human in the loop. It uses pay-per-event pricing and limited permissions, so it qualifies for Apify's agentic-payment standards:

  • x402 - an open, HTTP-native payment protocol. Agents pay per run in USDC on the Base network directly through the Apify MCP server - no account, no API key.
  • Skyfire - agent-to-service payments for fully autonomous AI-agent workflows.

Building an AI agent, MCP tool, or autonomous data pipeline? This scraper is ready to plug in and pay as it goes.

Automate & schedule

Run this Actor on autopilot and pull results into your own stack:

import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'MY_APIFY_TOKEN' });
const run = await client.actor('scrapesage/nuget-scraper').call({
"searchQueries": [
"json"
],
"maxItemsPerQuery": 10
});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(`Got ${items.length} records`);

Integrate with any app

Connect the dataset to thousands of apps - no code required:

  • Make - multi-step automation scenarios.
  • Zapier - push new records straight into your CRM or spreadsheet.
  • Slack - get notified when a scheduled run finds something new.
  • Google Drive / Sheets - auto-export every run to a spreadsheet.
  • Airbyte - pipe results into your data warehouse.
  • GitHub - trigger runs from commits or releases.
