I bought a used one and it gave me the confidence I needed to move over to Linux. I tried Pop os and wasn’t really feeling it, and now I’m on Mint and I’m mostly happy. I want to build a desktop and do cachy os instead of getting a PS6.

Steam deck is an impressive little thing, but it’s not quite powerful enough for what I’d like to do with it. I would trade the portability for more power. But a handheld PS4 is absolutely nothing to sneeze at!

Gas prices aren’t my primary concern. I’ve hated him for years for better reasons, but gas prices seems to be the only thing that is waking his supporters up.

American here. I use 24h time, vastly favor roundabouts over traffic lights, and I would rather poop at home with my bidet attachment than get paid to poop at work. I miss planned shows with a satisfying ending in mind from the start. Too many shows overstay their welcome just because it keeps making a little money. Go out strong. The current plotline is really just a Reagan plotline reboot with some tweaks, and it was already boring and stupid the first time. What’s that, trump is firing people again? Due to economic, environmental, and cultural state and trends, my wife and I are choosing to not have children. Our dog is lovely. I will not spend my time and energy to give capitalists another generation of cheap labor just in time for this class to flee from rising sea levels, suffer malnutrition, and choke on contaminated air and water. Forcing people who don’t want kids to have two is insane. Who will make it happen? Is there a conception agency where agents just go a rape women in this imagined scenario?

Forcing a third pregnancy to terminate is also pretty insane. Suppose the mother doesn’t even know she’s pregnant until pretty far along. Suppose a mother hides her pregnancy and gives birth in secret; is that baby getting killed?

In either case, what is the punishment for violation? Suppose a woman is incapable of having kids when you mandated 2; is she to be executed for being unable to fulfill this societal requirement? Suppose a woman intentionally had more than her government-permitted 2 children; what is her sentence for providing extra mouths to feed?

It’s unethical, it’s not reasonably enforceable, and frankly, I’m not sure I understand what such a policy would even be attempting to accomplish.

Primaries and referendums are happening right the fuck now though. I just voted by mail here in VA regarding the temporary redistricting thing. He might be trying to throw a wrench in any blue redistricting that’s in response to Texas and whatever other red gerrymandering is happening.

The more common way these guys increase profit is by lowering costs, and the only way they’ve figure out how to do that is by laying off a bunch of people, so this is actually a step in the right direction at least.

Now I’m wondering whether their solution is to appeal to more customers or to raise prices. What am I saying. Of course it’s the latter.
