Well you can’t eat mangrove wood but these shell less molluscs are much the same as shellfish nutritionally. Fun fact it’s teeth can grind though thin metals. Fairly tasteless when cooked though, has been compared to oyster probably for lack of similar tastes. They are also known as shipworms or teredo worms.
