BE ONE - The Tallest Tower

St Giles-on-the-Hill Bells recorded from outside the church at the top of Cow Hill, Norwich, UK.

Field recording by Rosie Higham-Stainton (Fashion, art and culture writer)

The bells in this recording haven't been manipulated, it is the live resonance from the street. The tower is the tallest in Norwich at a height of 120 ft.

This is the first release as part of The Bell Effect Project - a call for bell recording submissions made at the end of 2019 by Laura Cannell.

100 recordings were submitted by people from throughout the world.
From phone recordings out of a musicians green room window, to the bell on the Grand Canyon train, to church bells in Southern France and cow bells in the alps.

Each recording is being used as a basis for compositions by Laura Cannell.
